Pyrophanite didn't really like being out during the night time anymore. It was hard enough to collect energy in his new...form, much less be anything but obvious. Tonight, he wore no mask, though he badly wanted too. Usually the captain saw fit to intimidate others by wearing the creation he made in the negaspace.
Instead, his curly auburn hair was slicked against his skin, on the rainy night. His jacket thankfully took away most of the cold, but he desperately wished for some kind of heat source.
Lo' and behold, in his vision, to orange figures showed up! He sighed though, because he was pretty sure he could feel the aura's of two order goons too. So not his night.
-----------
Altais didn't mind rain, and his outfit didn't seem to either. Though the senshi was dressed like an arabian prince, the sheer sleeves were layered over long skinny ones and with his vest and larger pants, the taller man had nothing to fear from the weather besides the dampness! Something he never minded in the end.
Instead, he was trying to hold his hands protectively over Denebola's head as if he was her umbrella and smiling.
"Next time, I'll look at the weather report!" He bounced, looking around, "But Chaos doesn't stop, rain or shine! Are you okay Dene?"

If the weather was bad, Denebola tended to avoid patrolling if only because fighting in the rain wasn't as epic, or romantic, as the movies made it out to be. Still, she had promised Altais that she would patrol with him and so there she was in all her sailor skirted glory getting splattered by tiny drops of water.
And Altais was trying to shield her with his hands.
The ginger tried to keep from laughing but couldn't as she reached for them with her gloved ones, lowering them gently. "It's okay Al," she said softly, smiling sweet and wide at him. "A little water never killed anyone -- except the wicked witch of the west but I'm much sturdier than she was." She reached for his cheek, seemed to stretch up on the tips of her toes like she might kiss his other one when something prickled on the outskirts of her senses and she jerked away.
She was already turning, moving away from her companion and towards the energy that felt like chaos - like a captain but wrong. "Altais," she said firmly, glancing back at him briefly, "stay back, until I determine if they're a threat."
She knew it was likely that he wouldn't listen and yet -- she had to try. She wanted to keep him safe.
Even as she headed straight for Pyrophanite.

Heat ray vision didn't stop the almost exchange of the two and Pyro made a face. If you were going to be out on patrol, why were they sitting there making out? Gross. Like get a room. Just because he saw your heat move together, didn't mean he wanted to know about your guys gross love lives.
Except the smaller form was jerking away and heading straight for him.
"Gross, You couldn't keep making out with each other and leave me to do my thing?" The snake boy scratched at the scale on his cheek and felt his grin turning up. They were a low level brat and someone who was just about his level.
He could probably handle them.
"That's right, Stay back little man, Let your woman do all the fighting!" Pyro hissed a bit as he smiled. "You canna play with my snake?"
------------
Altais was still trying to shield her, and protested a bit when she pulled his hands away. "I know it wasn't helping! But the thought counts, I hope?" The male senshi grinned as Dene reached up to kiss him on the cheek, something he found to be satisfying and made him even more happy.
Like a pup with a treat!
But alas, the aura hit his senses too and he was turning as she left to study the figure in the rain. So ominous, so threatening. Wow.
And then it spoke and Altais frowned, especially at the last comment.
"I think I SHOULD handle his snake!." Altais followed quickly after Dene because she was in MUCH MORE DANGER then he could ever be in.

"One, we were not making out and two, obviously not if your thing is creepily watching people "make out"," Denebola shot back, unamused. Personal space was not something that really existed between the pair of white mooners, but what the captain was claiming was not their relationship.
She eyed him carefully, suppressing the shudder at his mixed features because she wasn't going to let him know that he quite literally, grossed her out.
"I'd watch your mouth if I were you," she snapped, fingers curling into her palm. Her pretty mouth was twisted into a frown that only deepened as he threw an innuendo her way and brought Altais hurrying forward in an attempt to defend her.
"If by play you mean crush, sure. Let's play," she replied, starting forward with every intention of beating the punk's a**.
But Altais' longer legs let him surpass her and she huffed in response. "I got this Altais."
Normally, she preferred to avoid fighting but the captain could use a mean kick to the groin.

"Well it's not like I can see that for sure." Pyro snorted as he looked at the two signatures of heat. He didn't bother trying to explain that his vision was limited in the way he saw things. Heat signatures could be a real b***h but, it was also really cool when he wanted to be stealthily moving about. "I'd watch YOUR mouth if I was you. Don't know where your little lover boys been putting it at, amirite?" Pyro grinned as they came at him. He could tell the bigger form was the weaker one, meaning that the man was going to be the easier target. He liked easy targets. As Altais came forward towards him, Pyro moved, teleporting right by the man and grabbing his neck, then flung the senshi over into the nearest solid item in his vision. It looked like a large rock, but he was pretty sure it was a car. "Whose got who now?"
--------------
Altais narrowed his eyes at the captain and then back at Dene. "I don't like him! I don't like how he talks to you. I don't think you should deal with him." By no means was Altais chivalarous, but in this moment, he was really not apperciating the jokes made on his expense, especially at the woman who was practically the closest thing to a best friend he had right now. Denebola did not deserve some crude remarks. "I can handle him!" The shockwaves senshi barely managed to get out before he felt the hand on his throat, squeezing and making his breath catch. His struggle was short as he was tossed aside like a sack of garbage, hitting the side of a car hard, the glass from the windows shattering around him as he hit the ground next. He coughed and tried to shake it off, but the pain hurt more then he ever had imagined.

"Don't talk about things you don't know anything about," Denebola shot back, ready to drive her fist into his face when Altais intervened and was, subsequently thrown into a car. She grit her teeth, suppressing the sigh or noise of frustration that threatened to rip from her.
"I got this Altais, I appreciate you trying to be a gentleman but I know how to handle my own fights," she snapped a little more harshly than intended, but the way her friend flew was just a sign to her that she needed to deal with it.
Besides, she'd been fighting for five year and Altais, bless his heart, was still so new.
She slid into the space Pyrophanite had created smoothly, fists raised and jabbing for both the stomach and the face. She kept herself positioned carefully so she could block as needed.

Pyro laughed.
"Bitched slapped AND talked down by your master, Come on dog, aren't you gonna get up and woof woof at me? Where's the bite?" He was ignoring the other senshi, but now she had his full attention.
The punch to the gut was painful, followed by a punch and he felt his jaw crack. Crack but not break, and he was pretty sure the sound was like a resounding reminder of pain.
He snapped his head back and then looked over at Dene, his slitted eyes narrowing at the heat signature that was her. Unlike Altais, she would be hard to face. They were the same level of power, he thought.
But he was a monster, and wasn't it time to use those monster powers?
The miasma* escaped from his mouth, spewing like fog. With her so close. he didn't think she could escape.
-----
Altais groaned as he felt the metal and glass crumble and spread over him. He was so weak, and it was so frustrating and it was terrible. He tried to pick himself up...but it was so hard to move.
And he could hear, Dene was in trouble. Nuxaz *Poison Fog Pyro breathes out a large cloud of poison, that remains stagent in the air. It causes mild dizziness and paralyzing of limbs up to at least 30 seconds. The haze is a thick black smog, and can be inhaled or absorbed through skin. Only Pyro can move through the haze without being effected.

Denebola wanted to knock the attitude right out of the half-youma. She also wanted to wipe the smirk she was sure was on his face beneath that mask of his. "You should talk less," she snapped, jerking a knee up as she spoke.
She wasn't prepared to deal with the weird mist spilling from his mouth. "What the- " she gasped, immediately staggering backwards, teeth sinking into her bottom lip as she inhaled too sharply in her surprise, getting a full whiff of whatever he was spewing.
No, no, no.
Her head begun to spin and she stumbled, barely managing to stay upright as the muscles in her arms began to lock up. She could feel her heart beating in her throat as she managed to glare, doing everything she could to try and stay upright, but her legs were locking too.

The knee hit up and Pyro spewed what was left of his magic, before sputtering. She got her wish afterall, the half youma stopped his yapping to rub at his stomach.
"Not too bad, isn't it?" he laughed as he stood back up, wiping his now sweaty palms on his pant legs. The pain shook him for a minute but the resolve to kill the two did not.
"Awww, do you feel weak now? Does it hurt?" He came over and took her face in his hands, stroking it. "You're really pretty you know, no wonder he follows you around." He looked up, noticing the senshi pulling himself up.
"Better end this quick though so..."
--------
Altais saw hands touching Denebola and he felt the anger spike again, pushing him up. Unlike Pyro, who underestimated the senshi, Altais knew what the half youma did now.
He came as quick as he could, throwing his whole body at the thing and grabbing Denebola to hide behind him.
"Don't touch her!" He snarled, hunched over from the last attack.

Dimly, Denebola wondered if the effects of the fog had a timer the way most senshi magic did. She did not, however, get much time to reflect on it because his hand was stroking her face and all she wanted to do was spit in his. "Go. To. Hell," she growled behind clenched teeth and with much effort.
Once she could move freely again, she was going to make him regret ever putting his hands on her. But of course, Altais had to try and come to her rescue, putting himself between her and the nega.
She hissed when she stumbled backward, limbs heavy and stiff but regaining mobility. "Altais!" She cried, knowing that he was still going to throw himself at Pyro.
"Ho boy, once the feeling returns you're going to wish you'd never touched me." She snapped, rolling her shoulders back and attempting to shake feeling back into her limbs.

They did in fact have a timer, and pretty soon the numbness faded from her body, as it filtered through quickly. Something Pyro tried to take advantage of when he used the miasma was to act quickly, but thanks to the senshi boy, he was losing out on something really good.
Pyro hit the ground hard, the mask he wore (with Denebola's spit still sliding down it) clattered off and his turned his gaze towards the two. The snake like eyes, and scales around his cheeks were a stark contrast to the once pale skin and curly mahogany hair.
He teleported off the man and back to his original spot, glaring at them both.
"As if I'd wait around while my trump card failed." He finger gunned at Denebola, "See you around little babe." And then he looked at Altais, who was rolling to get back at him. "And your little dog too."
---------
Altais rolled to get back up, only to see the man teleport away and leave them alone.
"Did...we win?"

Denebola watched him go down with hard eyes, pink lips pressed firmly in a frown when he hit the ground. There was a part of her that thought she should feel bad but the a*****e had been the one to pick a fight with them. He deserved everything he got as far as she was concerned.
What she saw when the mask clattered to the floor made her gasp in surprise. She had definitely not been expecting the scales or the eyes, especially when it melted into seemingly normal human flesh. "What the hell?"
But she didn't get much of a chance to even recover from her shock before he was talking, snark rolling off him in waves.
"You wish," she snapped, feeling returning to her enough that she could curl her hand into fists. The half-youma teleported away and tension immediately seeped from Denebola's shoulders as she reached for Altais, pulling him in close to her.
"We did - " she swallowed, relieved that he wasn't injured as badly as he could've been. "I'm going to lecture you about recklessness later but for now - let's go back to my flat and watch a movie," she decided, lacing her fingers in his and leading him away.
