And what about her brief visit to Grendel? Mytrax couldn't help herself, she had to snort in amusement at the mere idea of going to such an artistic university. She could dress the part or find someone to dress her up to look like one of the creative students attending but Mytrax doubted she had what it takes to actually stay there. Besides, she could always arrange some private lessons with Ms. Ishy back at the Academy and being in familiar territory was a definite plus.
The difference in the Universities' atmosphere was quite stark in Mytrax's opinion. Not that the Grendel students didn't take their majors seriously but well, she might be operating under the assumption that she'd stick out like a sore thumb. Or worse, be kicked out for failing to live up to the University's standards and Mytrax could not have that. What would her parents say?
So that clearly crossed Grendel off her list of Universities to attend. But that didn't bring her any closer to deciding between Asterion and Leviathan. Blast it, why couldn't she just take all the courses available to her? She didn't want to test her parents' generosity so perhaps she could take a part time job to assuage her spending? She was rather thrifty to start with and maybe she could just send most of her familiars home to keep her siblings company. She was sure the twins would love playing with some of them.
Once again, she studied the application form and the list of courses available to her and sighed deeply. This was proving far harder than it should! Her friends hadn't been much help and besides, it wasn't as if they would be the ones taking these courses. She wrote down the pros and cons to her choices, and unfortunately they weighed up pretty evenly against each other and she let out a frustrated groan.
Something soft brushed against her leg and glancing down revealed her twin-tailed fennekit, Pathways. Absently, Mytrax reached down to scratch her familiar's ear when the Grifytoo stumbled into her other leg and unceremoniously flopped onto its back to stare up at her pathetically, its tail flailing about. And something about the display had Mytrax lightly nudging Pathway to approach the supine familiar.
"Heads I go to Leviathan first, Tails I go to Asterion first."
The Fennekit, unaware of the significance in their owner's words ended up chasing after the Grifytoo's tail.
"Asterion it is!"
It may have seemed like an irresponsible way of choosing, this practically being a flip of a coin. But she wanted to go to both Universities. It was all a matter of deciding which to attend first.
