Rep felt helpless. Completely ******** helpless and constrained by the rules of the island. Lawrence was a b*****d and he'd been watching the shithead for quite some time on twitter without getting involved in the s**t he stirred, not about to feed him or turn the man's cold attention to him.
Except he had and immediately had found himself ******** rattled. He'd been hanging out with Ace and Rep didn't know how long, and apparently ******** crossdressing to use his room.
Rep had Opinions about people who ******** crossdressed and none of them were good.
It was the apparent friendship that Harrison had with the old ******** that scared him the most, he might have spoken out on twitter about it but he hadn't told the guy to get to ******** and that in itself was enough to plant the seeds of doubt in Rep's head. He might not have been able to kill him, to get rid of the threat which made his heart race and panic seize him, but he could ******** challenge him to his face, maybe scare him out of doing it again.
Except the part where Rep was anxious and concerned that whatever the ******** the other man was wasn't capable of being intimidated and what that might mean if he tried to escalate violence to a point where he reacted.
Still, it was a public challenge and slight he couldn't leave unaddressed, after all Horace had immediately ******** started getting smart with him on the heels of it and there needed to be a goddamn lesson taught to protect him in future.
He knew where Melvin lived, so he knew where the shithead lived and he showed up in a bristling tangle of anger and fury and slammed the door in three very loud knocks.
"OPEN THE ******** DOOR OR IT GETS BROKEN." he snarled.

Melvin stared at the runic that scrawled off the toaster he was working on and sighed. That would be Rep.
Rising from his chair, he inched the bridge of his nose under his glades before opening the door.
"Hello Rep." He then moved aside to let him in.

Rep strode into the room, looking all around in case Lawr was smugly waiting on him, when he saw no one other than Melvin he rounded on the blonde man.
"Where the ******** are you hiding him?" he snarled. "Why the ******** would you protect some c**t who was HITTING ON ACE?"

"Because I love that idiot and that's why I'd protect him. Usually I'd let anyone face the consequences for their mistakes, but he isn't in any condition right now to be taking on any fights. One punch from you and he could die, and I'm not joking about that." He paused in thought before he moved.
He shut the door softly and moved over to one of the custom chair's Harrison carved. "He doesn't want to be with Harrison. He bitched and complained the entire time he was here and was completely pissed off he was.." And Melvin rose his fingers up to quote. "...manhandled."
"He is just angry and bitter Harrison brought it to everyone's attention he has been sick. Harrison was being a good person to bring him medical attention and take him home. He even educated me on how best to handle the situation before he got out of here as quickly as he could. He in no way wanted to linger and Jan didn't want him too either."
He gestured to an open chair. "Do you want any coffee?"

Rep narrowed his eyes at Melvin, hardly recognising the man he'd known for so long in the figure that stood in front of him and said with complete honesty that he ******** loved the gaunt lunatic which had crept into his life and his mind like some sort of awful parasite. "Maybe he'd ******** deserve it." he snarled, clenching his hands into fists, pacing like a caged tiger, all pent up rage and wild red hair. "Maybe he needs someone to ******** punch some ******** fear into him, teach him when to shut his ******** mouth."
"AND AYE, OF COURSE he's gonnae ******** tell YOU that he didnae want to be wae Ace." he barked. "Do you believe everything he says? Cause that's a ******** bad idea given the ******** track record he has. Are you completely doolally?" He stopped pacing and shook his head. "You don't even need to ******** answer that."
Glancing back to Melvin, he went from staring to registering where he was sitting and finally noticing the chairs. He pointed, jabbing his finger in a completely hostile way.
"THE ******** ARE THEY? DID ACE MAKE THEYM? I RECOGNISE THEM!" And once again he went off on a furious pacing tirade.
"So he DOES know ******** Ace. Did you ******** hear that he was living next door to us for who ******** knows what? DRESSED AS A ******** b***h NO LESS. Did you KNOW? And why the ******** are you SO CALM ABOUT THIS s**t, he's been creeping all over my ******** life since who the ******** knows how long?! Nae wonder Ace wanted away fast, he was probably concerned you'd ******** mention it to me and now here we are."
He did not sit down. "And I don't want any goddamn coffee." he snarled. "Just directions to the old p***k you are shagging."

Melvin's blue eyes were sharp as they glared back at rep for accusing Jan of sleeping with Harrison. "If Jan slept with Harrison, he would tell me he slept with him. He doesn't have a reason to hide it from me as much as he slept with anyone else." He told himself. "What I don't like is how your own husband said it didn't happen but you storm in here saying he did. And yes, Rep. I do choose to believe him when he says he didn't."
He rose up, taking his googles off to set on a countertop before he bent down and opened an drawer, pulling out a bottle of whiskey and two shot glasses. "No coffee then." He said through gritted teeth and poured himself and Rep a glass. He held the glass to Rep while he drank the other, leaning on the counter.
"He knows Harrison because we work on this island. Everyone knows him. Those chairs are what I ordered from Harrison and had no involvement with Jan. The place was empty. I needed furniture. Harrison is a craftsman and I'd rather hire him than go to IKEA and get something reliable. I thought Harrison would have told you. "
He continued holding out the glass.
"I hear a lot of claims about Jan. Almost on a constant bases. People who just pop up to spread this or that. At this point, I don't even give a s**t. Whatever was or wasn't, I don't see it. It isn't happening. Feel free to open Jan's closet and dresser. There isn't a wig, dress, or mascara anywhere. Not even any heels. I clean this place enough that I would know. And he isn't creeping on you. He hasn't mentioned you."
He continued holding up the shot glass. "Can you take this please. My arm is getting tired."

"I'm guessing he does that s**t ******** often then if you know the standard goddamn procedure for it?" Rep snarled. "And what about me? I'm the ******** reason to hide it, because I will make sure he can never make eyes at ******** anyone ever again when I pop them out of his creepy skull." The other man had never sat quite right with Rep at all. Rep didn't care much about the things he was supposed to have done, finding it hard to care about a bit of stalking and being a sleaze when it was done to women, that - as far as he was concerned- was just part of normal courtship. But there was something else, something he really didn't like about the old ******** and he never wanted to end up in his care in the infirmary. H was scary hell possibly one of the ******** scariest people he'd ever met when the mood took him, but there was nothing arbitrary about him. The weaselly creep that Melvin had found was everything unexpected and cruel and he tried not to think about what was in store for his friend.
"Imagine believing anything he said. ******** you are far gone Melvin, really ******** far gone." he sighed and took the whiskey.
"Well Ace says he was the ******** goth chick, Chantelle or whatever who was living in my room and I don't think he'd make up something like that. You ever seen them both in the same room? " The anger was ebbing away, he could feel it, and it was the worst feeling in the world, replaced instead by a sad and impotent resignation. He couldn't hurt anyone here without everything being horrible, even the people who really ******** deserved it, even when it'd be doing the world a goddamn ******** favour.
"Just cause you didn't find heels and s**t doesn't mean he doesn't own them."

'Yes. We had a meeting. BOTH of them were there. You can even ask several other Life members who were at the meeting."
He turned slightly to pour himself another drink.
"What would it matter IF he cross-dressed? Does that make a person any less good or bad? Would that make him like or love me any less or more or me him?" He asked, turning around and taking another drink. He was too tired to go back to questioning his relationship with Jan time and time again. He needed stability, and for that, he needed faith.
"I don't know what you want out of this, Rep. You hate him. That's fine. I'm done convincing people who Jan is if they are hard set on believing other things. If you are still angry when Jan is in better health, then you are free to spar with him whenever you like. If you want to fight now, however, you'll have to spar with me because I won't tolerate someone killing him. I'm not in the mood to mourn twice."
He finished his drink. "Do you want a refill?"
