 After the happenings of the Hunter's Jubilee, Hailey was starving and told her boyfriend that he owed her a dinner out tonight. He didn't protest one bit, and not that it should have surprised her, but she had been expecting to have to talk him into it this time. He usually didn't like to be out a lot in one day. Oh man... she was totally psyched for food now, though. "Oh man. I'm starving! I feel like my stomach is gonna eat me from the inside out at this rate!" She reached out and took his hand in both of hers, tugging on him as she walked backwards. "C'mon Khaiaaaaa! I'mma have to resort to cannibalism if we don't get food soon!"

 It had been such a terribly long day out, but even so, Malachi couldn't bring himself to say no to taking his girlfriend out to dinner tonight. Then again, he probably would have suggested it anyways since he did give her a promise ring today. That was something he was actually really proud of. Well, the fact that she was so excited to accept it anyways. Of course, when she returned the gesture, even if it was followed by a childish and painful game, he was really happy. Like, happy didn't even come close to describing his bliss.
Lost in his thoughts, as he felt the tug on his arm, Malachi laughed as he stumbled slightly while playing Catch Up to Hailey. "I highly doubt your body is starting to eat you already. I am pretty sure it takes longer than a few hours to get to that point." he teased.

 Sepphora decided to grace the public with her presence, but come to find she was too late for the Hunter's Jubilee party. "Drat..." she said in a mopey tone. The poor little thing hadn't had much chance to be out and about as of late because of... well, family related issues. This was her one night to finally get out and she had the terrible luck of missing the one thing she had been looking forward to!
With a pissed look on her face while she grumbled under her breath, Sepphora hadn't been paying attention to where she was heading and walked right into a plethora of feathers! "Augh!" she exclaimed as she fell backwards. She shot a hidden glare up at the one who caused her second misfortune of the day behind dark bangs, only to gasp. He was very cute! Though, it didn't take long for her to catch the surprised girlfriend? at the other end of his hand. "I'm so terribly sorry for the run in." Sepphora said in a soft, sad tone. "Would you mind helping me up?... What's your name?"

Hailey had opened her mouth to say something with sass in return to Malachi when she was jolted as he stopped moving forward and decided to take a few steps sideways! "What the heck, Khai!" she yelped as she stumbled right along with him. The geist's eyes shot up, glaring and glowing fiercely at the stunned fallen... who apparently didn't know what in the world was going on either.
It wasn't until another feminine voice piped up that she found another geist on the ground. Hailey's eyes pinned to the other female as she seemed quite comfy, cozy asking her boyfriend for help when two things were quite clear. One, he was already with her, and two, it was obviously that chick's fault she was down there in the first place! "Tch" came out of her mouth as she tried to find her snark reserves... but that came to a halt as Malachi released her hands to reach down for the other girl!

It was quite the shock when Malachi felt someone run right into his wings. Ouch! It sure did smart when his wings were involved in any sort of incident like this. And really, they happened quite often to the poor guy. He looked over his shoulder for a quick few moments, just making sure that nothing was bent or out of place before turning his attentions to the unintentional third party. His pink eyes widened when the took notice of the female down on the ground.
Without a second thought at her request, Malachi reached down and took the outreached hand. What he also didn't give any thought to was the hands he let go of that belonged to his very temperamental girlfriend. "I'm... I'm so s-sorry about that. Oh. Uhm.. I'm.. I'm Malachi..." he offered softly as he pulled her to her feet. "Are you o-okay?"

Needless to say, the moment that the fallen had reached down to help her back up, Sepphora was pleased as punch and even kind of glad that she had missed the Hunter's Jubilee party if only to run into this cutie. It was hard to hear his name being offered, but she was pretty sure she had caught it. There weren't many that sounded like it. "Malachi? Well that name is as handsome as the face that wears it~" The tone of her voice was velvety smooth, and her she had a smile to match it... for the time being.
What pleased her even more is the way he had stumbled over himself to speak to her, cherry topped by the other girl's reactions to what was going on. Definitely his girlfriend. This night was certainly beginning to get better by the moment. "I'm Sepphora and I'm super sorry for running into you Malachi." she said apologetically, reaching out to touch his shoulder. "Your wing is okay, right?" she made sure she oozed concern for him, if only to make his girlfriend even more irritated than she already was. Turning cold in mood as she looked to Hailey, she asked with a sour tone. "And you are?"

'Oh no. Oh no she is not!' Hailey thought the moment that little twink touched her man's hand. She knew exactly the kind of girl this chick was, and she was not going to let Malachi be even a million miles within her reach, let alone touch hands like that again. She would rather see a girl like that burn before even considering lifting a finger to help her. This anxious and nervous feeling crept over Hailey's entire being. She felt insecure and unease just being in that other girl's presence. How could she not feel like this?! That other girl was pretty and that was enough. But as she began to check out the wishing-she-was-competition, the fact that the other girl wasn't flat-chested like she was made her all the more insecure. Her arms tightened around herself even more.
The fact that the chick even had the audacity to ask her name steamed her carrots right on through! "Hailey." she said with a good side of snark. Of course, poor Malachi had no idea on what was going on and silently chastised her with a glare and mouthed words. Feeling all the more insecure, Hailey scoffed and turned her head as she shifted on her feet.

The poor, clueless guy smiled as the new girl showed concern for his wings. He didn't think a thing of it as her fingers rested on his shoulder. Just thought that is was really nice to come across someone who had such sincere concern for another. Shaking his head, he smiled a little more now, speaking somewhat on a normal level. "It's okay. R-really. We didn't see you, either. Are you alr-r-ight?" She hadn't answered him the first time he asked, so he wanted to make sure that she wasn't hurt. He continued to smile, even if Hailey was being completely rude. He turned his head enough to raise a brow in his girlfriend's direction, sighing and shaking his head slightly before turning his attentions back to Sepphora.
Sadly, he made a terrible mistake in missing the body language that Hailey had going on. He still had so much to learn about girls, but there was very little excuse for him missing something that big.

Sepphora couldn't have been more pleased with herself or the situation if she tried. Well if she did try, then she might have been more obvious to the clueless cutie. Luckily, even with his girlfriend sending out a major uncomfortable signal, he still hadn't the slightest idea of what her problem was. The geist was priding herself terribly on being that very problem.
When the fallen had voiced his concern for her a second time, she gave a laugh, waving her hand before resting it on his shoulder once more. "Oh no worries, Malachi. The only thing that even remotely hurts is my pride. Well, my behind does a little bit as well. Would.. would it be a terrible inconvenience if I were to ask you to make sure nothing got on the back of my dress? I'd feel terribly awkward walking back home with something on my backside. How embarrassing would that be?!" she said with a giggle. Turning around, she stuck her butt out and wriggled it in his direction. "Everything look okay back there?~"

Hailey was actually in a genuine state of shock with the way things were going right now. Her boyfriend was being a completely clueless jerk, and that... chick -- was the only non-expletive that she could think of -- was just leading him like an oblivious fennekit to be put down at the vet's office! Malachi was so smart! How could he have absolutely no idea what in the world this chick was even up to? Not a single clue!
But that didn't even begin to take the cake compared to watch she had done next! That chick had the audacity to ask him to look at her butt?! What the actual f--. No. She shook her head. Even in her most awful feeling place, she didn't want to drop that bomb. Not over that floozy. Even if it was just in her head. But the moment she saw that butt wiggle - yes! she was watching -- she just lost it. "Really? You're going to shake your a** at my boyfriend like that? Where the hell do you get the balls to do something like that, huh?!"

When Sepphora had asked him to make sure nothing was on her... behind... he turned all shades of red. It would have been one thing if she'd simply asked if he would make sure nothing was on the back of her dress, but having attention being brought to her backside made it an entirely different thing to him. "Errr.. I suppose I-I could..." but he stopped when she turned around, wiggling her butt. That was a little, actually, a lot out of his comfort zone to the point where he turned his head to look away. He was going to say that he couldn't really do it, but the oh so familiar and angry sound of Hailey's voice exploding stopped any words from coming close to leaving his mouth. All he could do, was stand there with mouth agape, as Hailey went off the deep end... again.

The little geist thought she had this situation right where she wanted it. The adorably flustered boyfriend. The angry, yet insecure girlfriend. Both not sure how to handle her in all her glory! It was actually pretty surprising to Sepphora when Hailey lashed out at her. Though still hidden behind a dark drape of bangs, her eyes were wide open as the colorful language spewed from the other girl's mouth. Actually, she hadn't expected that reaction at all with how stand-offish, yet quiet and insecure she had seemed. This made things very, very interesting now.
Feigning both shock and hurt at the words that were flung her way, Sepphora sniffled and quickly turned about to face them both once more. "Oh how awful of you to say such things to me, Hailey. I just didn't want to be all embarrassed walking home if something was on the back of my dress." She sniffled and curled her arms about herself. "I'm sorry if I made either of you feel uncomfortable... I.. I didn't mean to!" and she broke out in tears.

As Sepphora puked word vomit, Hailey scoffed and glowered at the other geist. There was about as much of a sincere little lady in that chick, as there was a giddy school girl in Hailey! "Puh-leese! You are about as put out and shocked by what I said as a.. well.. I can't think of what I was going to say now, but I know for a fact that you so are not shocked or hurt! Maybe just butt hurt from me not letting you dupe my boyfriend! But that's about it!"
Before she continued her rage fit, a hand hand grabbed onto her arm and yanked her to turn and walk the other way. She was quite surprised to see Malachi at the end of that other hand, giving a sheepish, yet no regrets sort of smirk to him... even if he was scowling at her. She shrugged her shoulders and let him lead the way for once.

Malachi felt terrible for how things were unraveling. He didn't know what to do about things between the crying run-in girl, and the raging, raving girlfriend. The fallen gave a most defeated look between the two of them, mouthing that he was sorry to Sepphora before grabbing hold of Hailey and pulling her away. There were no words for what had just happened, but boy of boy was he steamed and embarrassed from the way she had acted!
Just doing what he could to keep a hold on the troublemaker that he was attached to, he sighed and shook his head. "I don't get why you had to do that, Hailey... You're lucky I love you so much, because I'm still willing to take you out for food, but I'm seriously upset right now." He sounded how parents were depicted in movies and the likes, but it was true! He was terribly embarrassed and she didn't seem one bit sorry for it! "You could at least pretend that you care about me being upset, y'know..." Sighing out what was a deep breath again, his hold slid from her upper arm to holding her hand again. "I promised myself to a lune." he said teasingly, even bumping into her lightly with a slight smile. "Love you, crazy..." and he kissed the top of her head as they continued to their favorite place to eat out.

It didn't take long for Malachi and Hailey to be out of sight. It was obvious to Sepphora that he was pretty pissed at his girlfriend, and that rather worked for her. All the same, she wiped the faux tears from her cheeks and straightened herself up again. "Well, this night certainly didn't go as planned, but I sure got to have fun anyways~" she said to herself, quite pleased with it all. Brushing her hands over her dress and jacket once more to make sure she looked back to her normal as best she could, Sepphora began to skip her way back home. She could have fun with those two later for sure~
