Biography: In his younger days in the soul society, Torik grew up in the poorest and most ruthless part of the soul society. He was a strong fighter, he had to be, for in those days the penalty for losing a fight was not death. If one lost a fight back then, that person would be held down and whipped until they are near death. As a result, Torik did lose his fair share of fights, he has the scars to prove it. Eventually he got the attention of the shinigami and Goeti 13, they acknowledged his strength and skill. The, at the time, Head Captain recruited him to be a Shinigami Captain. But since Torik didn't even know Shikai yet he needed to be trained. After 100 years of intense training under the Head Captain himself, Torik mastered Shikai and Bankai. He was then made Captain of Squad 11 and remained in that position for over 2,000 years. In that time he fought in countless battles as the Captain of the Sereitei's combat unit, never once losing. In the shinigami civil war, the Head Captain was murdered, only Torik had the power to avenge his mentor and end the war, bringing peace to the Soul Society once again. After the civil war, Central 46 ruled that the only one with the power and ability to take the position of Head Captain was Torik Ishikawa. After about 500 years of running things as Head Captain he started to see some potential in a member of Squad 3, the 3rd seat Alastor Blade. Alastor's Captain, the Captain of Squad 3, had recently been killed, so Torik needed to find a replacement. He could find no one better suited to the task then Alastor. Once made Captain, Alastor and Torik became very close, even becoming training partners.


Personality: With all the wisdom and experience Torik has gained in all of his years, he doesn't feel the need to say much or even show any emotion. Although he does care and shows tough love, he never shows it, only through his actions to protect others. The only time he shows emotion in his expression is when he's in a good fight or when he is with someone special.

Physical Description: As a Captain of the Gotei 13, Torik wears a Captain's Haori but does not put his arms through the sleeves. He whe drapes it over his shoulders and underneath he wears a long black trench coat over his shinigami uniform. Torik keeps his zanpakuto on his left side. He also has multiple scars on his back.

Zanpaktou Shikai Physical Description:Duel Swords
Torik's zanpakuto splits into a pair of powerful duel blades. When his zanpakuto is in shikai form it increases his spiritual pressure by so much that he rarely ever needs to use its abilities, just the sheer power of the duel swords combined with Torik's spiritual pressure are usually enough to beat most foes.

Zanpaktou Shikai Abilities:
Shadow Meld: Torik is capable of melding his body with his shadow and use it as a mean of transportation. When doing this, he can not attack until he completely exits a shadow. He can exit or enter any shadow, but he usually enters his own shadow because its the most convenient. Torik can only stay in a shadow for one post and once he leaves it, he can not reenter into another shadow for another 3 posts.

Shadow Tendrils: Torik can make tendrils made of shadows come out of any shadow to attack or restrain his opponent(s). He can control these tendrils with his mind or his hand movements. Tendrils can only come out of one shadow at a time, so if Torik wants to make tendrils come out of a different shadow, the tendrils from another shadow must first retreat back into its shadow.

Shadow Snare: Torik's Duel Swords have the ability to hold a shadow in place by piercing it with one of his blades. When he stabs someones shadow, their legs become paralyzed for as long as that blade is within the shadow. Only one blade can snare a shadow at a time.


Bankai Name: Shi no Kage (Shadow of Death)

Bankai Physical Description: When Torik activates his Bankai he drops his left zanpakuto to the ground and it disappears into his shadow. The second zanpakuto turn into a large Demonic Looking Sword

Bankai Abilities:
Shadow Strike: Torik can make blades made of shadow come out of multiple shadows at once, like the Shadow Tendril technique, only it does not capture, the blades just inflict damage. Torik can make blades come out of up to five shadows at once without having to make any retreat back into their original shadows, but all the blades must stay connected to their shadows. Each shadow can have ten shadow sword come out of it at once. So at a maximum, Torik can make 50 shadow blades at once.

Shadow Pierce: Using the same principles as the Shadow Snare technique in his Shikai, Torik can stab his opponents shadows. But instead of paralyzing, stabbing a shadow like this damages the owner of the shadow where ever it was the shadow was harmed.

Shadow Bodies/Shadow Body Replacement: One of Torik's strongest techniques in Bankai, he can take all the shadows in an area and control their movements and shapes to create an army of shadow warriors, each with their own sword. Torik is allowed up to 50 shadow warriors that swarm his enemies. When doing this, he can not preform any of his other abilities such as Shadow Pierce or Shadow Strike. However, Torik can switch places with any of his shadow warriors at any time, making him seemingly moving faster than a shunpo or a sonido.

Bakudou
#1 Sai: Sai is used primarily to disable an opponent. The practitioner points using his/her index and middle fingers at the intended target(s) causing the targets arms to lock behind their back. The spell is usable on a single target or a significantly large group of people.

#15 Kami no Hikari Shogen: This spell is a cube like barrier of heavenly gold light that surrounds an individual in order to protect them from an attack. Depending on the user, it can withstand quite a bit of force, but after one or two powerful attacks, the barrier will dissolve. If the user of the spell is Captain level, the barrier will last longer than if a Lieutenant or Seated Member were to utilize it.

#30 Shitotsu Sansen: Shitotsu Sansen is primarily used to disable. The practitioner generates a burst of crackling yellow energy in his/her palm and uses that energy to draw an inverted yellow triangle. The triangle then generates solidified energy in the shape of triangles from the three points of the inverted triangle. The fired triangles hit the intended target and pin him/her against a nearby surface, slamming into his or her body in three places in the shape of a perfect triangle and immobilize the target.

#61 Rikujokoro: Rikujōkōrō is primarily used to disable. The practioner points his/her index finger at the target generating a spark of yellow energy. That energy summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams. This technique can also be used after using Hainawa, as the six beams of light form from the light already used in Hainawa.

#63 Sajo Sabaku: Sajō Sabaku is primarily used to disable. The practitioner raises his/her palm up to the target and closes his/her hand into a fist. The spell calls forth a yellow energy in the form of very thick rope to ensnare an opponent, its similar to Bakudō No. 4, but much stronger, this spell binds the upper body of a target. According to Hachigen Ushōda, physical strength alone should not be enough to break out of a Level 60. Bakudō. However, Kensei Muguruma was able to free himself from this Kidō while in his Hollow form.

Hadou
#1 Sho: Shō is primarily used for offense. The practitioner points at the target with his/her index finger and generates a small force that thrusts the target back a few feet away from the caster.

#4 Byakurai: Byakurai is primarily used for offense. The practitioner points at the intended target with their index finger and generates a concentrated lightning bolt.

#31 Shakkaho: Shakkahō is primarily used for offense. The practitioner generates an orb of crimson red energy in his/her palm or finger. The orb can be any size from small, medium or large depending on the level of power being used. The destructive power released by the blast can vary between a simple explosion to a pillar of energy. In both instances the spell causes concussive as well as burn damage. It is one of the mid-level Hadō spells.
The spell is of the common spells taught at the Shinō Academy. It tends to be many Shinigami's default offensive spell, for those well versed and not so well versed in Kidō.

#33 Sokatsui: Sōkatsui is primarily used for offense. The practitioner aims the palm of his/her hand at the target then generates a torrent of blue spiritual energy and fires it at said target. The energy moves like a direct blast or a large wave of energy depending on the amount of power placed into it.

#54 Haien: Haien is primarily used for offense. The practitioner fires an oblong blast of purple spiritual energy from their hand that incinerates a target completely when it makes contact.

#63 Raikoho: Raikōhō is primarily used for offense. The practitioner generates yellow spiritual energy into his/her hand and forms an orb which is then fired at the target with a massive concentrated strike of energy. The effect has devastating destructive results.

#88 Hiryu Gekizoku Shinten Raiho: Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō is primarily used for offense. The practitioner raises his/her arm forward and outstretched, occasionally using their free hand to grip the firing arm for extra support, with the palm facing flat toward the target and fires a gigantic beam of electrical and spiritual energy powerful enough to produce an enormous explosion.

#96 Itto Kaso: Ittō Kasō is a forbidden offensive technique. The practitioner can only activate the spell by using their own body as the catalyst. Due to this effect, Sōsuke Aizen referred to it as the spell of sacrifice. The spell causes a massive pillar of red fire to erupt from the ground in the shape of a giant katana's tip. By using this spell, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto lost his left arm.
