 Ryker smiled as he brought the last box into their new house. It hadn't taken very long, since there wasn't much for them to move, but now it was done and all that was left was to unpack. One of his daughters came crawling out of a room and he laughed softly, scooping her up. "Hey munchkin, did you get away from daddy?" he asked her as he walked into the room she came out of. "Matty? You lose something, boo?" he grinned, bouncing a giggling Effie on his hip. It felt good to have a family, even if sometimes there were sleepless nights where the girls couldn't sleep. He loved being a dad, and doing it with Matty just felt right.
Part of him was already itching for more kids. Maybe that was part of his pack instinct...or maybe it was just being a family with Matty. He wasn't entirely sure what his feelings for the goblin were anymore. They started out as friends, but now he thought there might be something more. He just didn't want to say anything and possibly ruin what they had.

 Matty had been sitting on the living room floor -- it was awesome that they had a true blue living room now! -- and unpacking some boxes while watching the babies. Ryker had been lugging the boxes and what other few things they had into the house while he was trying to sort through while keeping an eye on the babies. Ears perking as he heard the playful tone of Ryker's, Matty grinned and looked up from his box. He was ready with a witty retort when he saw the grimm standing there and holding onto a fluffier version of himself. "Oh fu--!... dge... cicles..." He knew what he was seeing, but crud! Quickly, Matty took child inventory and made sure that the other lil grimmlin was accounted for. Seeing little Popple on sitting nearby, cv remote in mouth, made him feel relieved for a moment. "Ack! Baby girl! How many times do I gotta tell yah that you can't eat that!" he said with a laugh before snitching it up from her.
Even though little Effie just about gave him a heart attack, Matty couldn't help grinning like a fool. "If there's one thing, baby, it's that these girls are so like us already! As in getting into trouble." Still ever so amused, he scooped up Popple and coddled her close. Though his eyes were on the lil tater tot in his arms, his mind was on her other daddy standing just a bit away. He even peered at him out of the corner of his eye, his cheeks heating up slightly. If there was something to be said about his feelings for Ryker, it would be that they were complicated. He fell hard and fast for the grimm, but he didn't want to let on to that just yet. He was just happy to have what they had... or at least for now anyways. "So... I think it's safe to say we need more baby gates now, huh, baby?~" he said with a sheepish grin.

Ryker snorted at Matty's almost faux pas. "Nice save, boo," he chuckled and took a seat on the floor next to him as Matty grabbed the cv remote from Popple. "These two are a mess, huh?" he laughed and set Effie next to Popple, where she immediately leaned into her sister like they were already plotting against their daddies. "Maybe we oughta get them teething rings," he mused, leaning a bit closer to Matty until their shoulders brushed. The grimm had been doing this a lot lately, just feeling the need to be closer.
He laughed; "Yeah, they're definitely troublemakers. And will probably grow up to be heart breakers." He just couldn't suppress a light growl at this; he just hoped they were the ones breaking hearts because he'd be breaking legs of anyone who dared hurt one of his precious daughters. Effie started making whining noises when her sister was taken from her side so Ryker pulled her back into his lap. "Mm, definitely more baby gates," he said, sounding a little distracted. Though little Effie had inherited his facial marking, her coloring was all Matty's and the grimm loved seeing the mixture of their genes in their girls. He smiled at her and bounced her a little, still a little lost in his own thoughts.

Matty laughed and bowed his head slightly. "Thank you, thank you~ I'll be here all week! but when Ryker said the babies were a mess, Matty looked back and forth between the two, slightly panicked. "Are they?! I thought I kept them out of anything messy... Are they smelly? Do they need baths?" He sniffed the baby in his arms and gave a puzzled look. She still smelled clean and baby powder fresh. He gave a puzzled look, then laughed and nodded. "Prolly a good idea. Def better than them chewing on the remotes and gods know what else!... though your little bundle right there found something earlier and tried putting it up her nose. I have no idea what to do about that!"
Matty was laughing even more as the whole troublemaker, heartbreaker thing came up. He was going to add to it, but something seemed a bit off on the otherside. Coddling Popple close, Matty scooted closer and peered at Ryker. "You okay, baby? You seem a little lost in your own world." The goblin set the grimmlin in his arms on the floor again. Reaching out, he took the little grimmlin from the grimm and set her next to her sister. Raising a brow as he point a finger at the girls in that dad sort of way... not that they'd get it, then moved and climbed into Ryker's lap. It had quickly become a favorite perching spot of his. "What's goin' on in that head of yours, huh?"

He laughed a little. "No, I meant that being like us, they're a mess. Getting into everything they can, yeah? They're plenty clean." he smiled. News of Effie trying to shove something in her nose cause the grimm to wrinkle his. "That we'll just have to watch for, I suppose." He supposed that, as a nursing student, he could get a toy out of a nose. Not that he didn't think Matty could, but Ryker knew the goblin to be excitable. Which of course was one of the reasons he liked him so much.
Ryker looked up when Matty scooted closer, his sense always on high alert where the goblin was concerned. His ears twitched and he smiled. "I'm fine, boo," he said. "Just thinking." He watched as Matty gave the girls a semi-stern dad look that they were likely to ignore if they even understood, and then blushed lightly as he then had a goblin in his lap. This was his favorite place for Matty to perch, despite the effect it usually had on the grimm.
"Just that I'm really glad we did this. Imbued stones, I mean. It feels....right," he murmured and smiled. His arms automatically slid around Matty loosely. Anyone who walked in on them at the moment would probably think they were a couple. And yet their relationship hadn't quite progressed that far yet.

As silly as it might have seemed to anyone else, Matty was insanely relieved to know that the girls weren't smelly and gross. He prided himself on keeping them clean. Now if only he could channel some of that into keeping things out of their mouths and noses. "Oh gods..." he said to himself when he thought about the fact that things would most likely end up getting flushed down the toilet next. He laughed to himself, shaking his head and trying to banish the thoughts for now. There were more pressing matters at hand.
He happily settled into his spot with a big, fluffy arm about him, leaning into Ryker. Matty smirked. "'Just thinking', huh? I hear that can be hazardous to your health, baby." Even though he was the sort to make a joke in pretty much any situation, after the first little one, he decided it wasn't the time to keep going with them. Of course, his own cheeks heated up when Ryker talked about them having their baby girls together. "I agree! It's really awesome having our own little family. Our baby girls are so precious! Plus, y'know... they're half you. I really like that."
Wow... that sounded so horrible and cheesy! What in the world was he saying. The goblin shook his head at himself for even saying something like that, laughing. "Sorry... I mean, I know i've said some really doofy things before, but that kinda took the cake." He grinned and covered his face with his hands, shaking his head. Seriously, Ryker made his head foggy and he couldn't make heads or tails of what was going through his head.

Ryker arched an eyebrow when Matty pleaded to the gods, wondering what he had thought of. He was about to ask when the goblin settled more into his lap. He rolled his eyes and laughed at Matty's next words. "Yeah, well, I'm pretty sure thinking is the least of my worries," he said with a grin.
Heat reddened Ryker's cheeks a little more with Matty's words of how he liked the girls being half his. "You definitely don't have to apologize for that," he said and tugged the goblin's hands from his face. "I feel the same way... I love that they're half you." He paused for a moment, thinking again. He wanted more with Matty, but for the life of him he couldn't find a way to say it. "Let's have more," he said, and then it was his turn to want to hide his face. The hell was that supposed to mean? He almost opened his mouth to clarify that he meant he wanted more kids with Matty, then decided against it. What if Matty wanted more from their relationship, too? He wanted to know, and he cut a glance at Matty, eyes curious.

Matty couldn't help feeling like a total fool. The goblin put up an ever so slight fight when his hands were being pried away from covering his face, peering out from in between his fingers before letting them fall away. Quite the sheepish grin was plastered on his face because he just didn't know how else to react to what he had been babbling on about.
Of course, it didn't take long for him to notice the heated blush on the grimm's face in front of him. He was half tempted to tease him just a bit, but Matty decided to bite his tongue for now. But of course, when Ryker said his words, but about him, the goblin wriggled as he felt his cheeks turning about fifty shades of red. "Well we do mix pretty damn good, don't we?" but his words were shy and soft. Though he hadn't expected what came next. Bright orange eyes widened just about as wide as they could, brightening as they did so. "More?! Oh hell yes! I want so many kids!"
Holy s**t! Ryker just said he wanted more kids with him! Without realizing it, Matty squealed and kicked his feet some before throwing his arms around his most comfortable perch. He stole a kiss during his excitement, grinning all the more before he noticed what he did! "Oh my gosh... Heh.. I'd say I'm sorry, but this go of oopsing I'm really not." All the same, he went and hid his head under Ryker's chin while he tried to process what in the world just happened!

He smiled when he noticed the blush on Matty's face. He looked so cute like that, and it made him wonder what thoughts were running through his head to make him go so red. And then he wriggled in his lap and his thoughts scattered until the goblin spoke again. "Yeah, we do mix pretty damn good," he said with a grin. And not just genetics-wise in their kids. Ryker thought he and Matty made a pretty good team (and not just because Matty was an awesome cook and Ryker was always hungry, either).
He laughed when Matty enthusiastically agreed to more kids. He loved that happy look in Matty's eyes and wanted to do whatever he could to keep it there. Ryker hugged him tightly when Matty threw his arms around him, eyes opening wide in surprise at the kiss. It took him a moment for his brain to work again, and by that time Matty had his head tucked under Ryker's chin. He gave a slow smile and hugged him again. "I'm not sorry, either."

Matty stuck his tongue out and giggled when he saw Ryker smiling as he was getting all red in the face, too. But he still couldn't help loving the fact they were both being terribly cheesy together in their sincerity at the same time. Then the goblin rolled his eyes at himself with a soft groan. He wasn't making any sense in his own mind! This guy really made a mess of him -- in the best way, of course!
Of course, after his surprise smooch, Matty felt as if he was going to die while he hid himself under Ryker's chin. Thank goodness he couldn't see what an absolute cherry red embarrassment he found himself being! 'what in the world were you thinking, you crazy! oh wait. that's right. YOU WEREN'T THINKING! what if he doesn't feel about you the way you feel about him, huh? dummy...' Of course he couldn't help laughing at himself at the same time.
Taking in a deep breath, Matty was ready to face the grimm whose lap he was perched, when out of the corner of his eyes he spied trouble. "AH! Babies! How many times do I have to tell you that you girls can't eat the table!" Laughing, and luckily not as many shades of red now, Matty grinned to Ryker. "I'mma go take care of Trouble One and Trouble Two... Maybe I'll have things down to more of an art when the next set comes~" Almost leaning in for another kiss, though he wasn't sure why he was going for a seconds when they didn't have a chance to figure out what the first one meant, Matty noticed the girls heading for the hall that lead to the front door. "AH! Girls you are so not outside ready yet!" and he quickly skittered over to chase after their little girls, laughing as he did.
