Snow still covered the ground, faintly almost in a bleak manner as if it was waiting for another long downfall from the almost white sky as Jack Frost did it’s best to cling to the very last moments it could before spring inched it ways across the land. It wouldn’t be long now until the birds were neatly darting in and out of the trees while and when Lomasi would stop complaining about how cold she was despite never leaving the nest of his mane. The best part however were the flowers, it was always the flowers that Tsela had adored when spring came, the soft scent floating in the air when a gentle breeze danced across their brightly colored petals.
Before his mate and before he ever had children he had spent a great deal of time tending to flowers in a secluded area of the woods. The trees had given them just the perfect amount of sunlight and shade, and whenever he felt that they were too thirsty he would find ways to bring them water the best he could. He was young then, it was easier, not to say he still wasn’t a bit young not as old as his own father, but he was most certainly no longer a colt who had boundless amounts of energy. It was a strange thought to him, the change over so many months, even a few years that had come into his life and how as a youngster he never thought about such things.
Now he was going to be a grandfather, the word was almost bittersweet to the thought. He was of course more than overjoyed for his daughter, finding someone she loved and even more so that soon she will be a mother and there would be adorable children for her and even him to love, but the thought also terrified him. It had meant he was growing even older, eve more so than he had ever imagined and that one day he will wind up looking more like his own father the only difference would be the grey hair in his purple mane instead of black almost giving him a rather silly impression that his mane was simply going strange. At least with black one looked almost distinguish, as if a rather handsome older gentleman, no no no he wouldn’t think about that. Gray hair was sure to come later, much later Tsela thought his eyes narrowing as a frown made its way to his muzzle.
Instead he would simply just have to find his mother to tell her and avoid his father momentarily, that was the whole reason he was out and about instead of hovering over Vski every second. Someone had to tell his own parents that they were great grand parents and of course they had chosen him to.

The winter for once was rather mild in comparison to earlier years the mare thought a soft smile easily finding its place on her lips. Her mate of course had left to meet with his own mother earlier that day something to do with helping his father or sibling, but nothing that Nicole had to worry about it. It was just simply something that one needed help with something and of course Moki not wanting to say no easily volunteered. Instead she was looking for her own son, earlier the small familiar hummingbird that had been his traveling companion had found her as if to let her know that he was looking for her and to meet. It had been quite some time since she had seen him and her two daughters were no longer around she had sorely missed her children. Tsela was the only one who had still lingered in the lands and even more so made her a grandmother with his own three beautiful children. He had been so proud of his daughter most of all, she had bore some resemblance to her more so than Tsela which made him even prouder of her. Of course that only made Moki grow somber at the thought of how close the two of them were than Moki was with his son but it couldn’t be helped. They were just two different soquili’s, Moki was always doing his best to be strong and to show his bravery while Tsela had little interest in such matters. Instead he had spent far more time interested in flowers and small creatures to have such an interest in building up battle skills and puffing his chest out not that Nicole minded what her mate did she adored him either way just her two boys were rather different and never seemed to see eye to eye. It had improved a little bit however when Tsela had his own children, the understanding of wanting to do whatever he could protect his children made him better understand why his father had pushed him so hard at times to become braver and to learn to protect those he cared about. The mare softly giggled to herself, it reminded her of how awkward her son had been when telling Moki about him having children in the first place, how much he had easily stuttered over the words and with Moki’s blunt behavior he gave up and just blurted out how he was becoming an old stallion and now a grandfather. Of course it took another few minutes for Moki to realize what he had said past the old stallion comment.
Oh how adorable the two were, and now she couldn’t wait to see him again.

Thoughts still rolled through the stallion’s head as he grew closer to the meadow he had promised to meet her at. There was fear somewhere lingering in his mind, the same fears he had when his own children were born, the fear of them not liking him, or that they would share the same sort of relationship as he did with his own father, or even worse him doing something horrible enough to screw up everything and losing them all together. They weren’t even his kids this time yet he still seemed to find himself drowning in the anxiety of it all.
Still drowning he paid little attention that he had wandered into the meadow and even more into the sight of his mother who stood there a soft smile playing on her lips. Instead he kept looking at the ground, the snow faintly covering the ground as it dripped, slowly fading away.

The older mare stood there watching the snow and the soft cooing birds that danced along the trees above her head. It wasn’t long before the familiar sight of her son appeared in the meadow his head lost into some train of thought as she let a grin dance along her muzzle. Of course it was a familiar face, the same on he had inherited from his own father, the same one that he had when Tsela was born, and the same one Tsela had when Vsiki was born.
She laughed, shaking her head with amusement. Despite all their qualms those two really were in some ways very much alike, of course she would never tell them they would simply stare at her in horror and insist that they were the complete opposites.
“Oh Tsela, stop worrying already and tell me who is having the new addition to the family? Are you having more foals?”

Tsela’s head snapped up as he heard the sound of laughter coming near by, turning he found the familiar sight of his mother who bore the same striking resemblance to his own daughter.
“Hello mother.” He smiled briefly at her before frowning again. “How do you know someone is having foals already? Did she already tell you and send me all the way out here to distract me?” The look of disappointment flashed across his face as he shook his head.
“No it’s Vsiki, I am going to be a grandfather, too early in my opinion but a grandfather apparently soon.”

Nicole laughed again, as he seemed easily flustered by her laughing, such a perfectionist, the two of them. Shaking her head she drew closer a wide smile now on her muzzle as her ears heard the best news she had in awhile.
“No one told me, no one needed to tell me anything about anything I could simply tell by the look on your face that someone was having foals. I should have known Vsiki would find someone, or more or less say that she would finally settle down with him.”
Giving him a nuzzle of an affectionate mother she grinned again. “Don’t tell me you are worried about showing your age now are you?”
