The realm of the Umande'mfuni was very, very peaceful, very quiet.
The gray lioness was quite relaxed and happy in her state of pregnant bliss, she may have been a little shocked at first.
But she had soon gotten used to it.
However, in mid thought, a sharp pain shot through her lower abdomen, making her give out an irritated yowl.
But she payed no heed to it until she felt it again.
What was up with these cubs? Hadn't they internally wrecked her enough already...cubs?
Could it be?
Yes it was, as another shot of pain ran through her lower body, her tail curled slightly and she knew she her contractions had started.
She instantly moved back toward's the cave where she and Ramses had made their den and the future nesting place for their cub's.
Ramses, she wanted him here.
As she reached the opening of the cave, she let out a loud roar.
"Ramses!! Hurry! It's time!!!" She yelled before trotting inside and laying herself on the dry nest of leaves and soft flimsy branches she had collected.

"Eh?" Ramses ears perk straight up at the sound of his wife's call, his red eyes going wide, startled, and then distressed as he realizes whats going on. "You're kidding?! OH STORMGOD! WhatdoIdowhatdoIdo?" He bounds in a quick, insanely cub like circle as he tries to figure out what he should be doing. "I'll go get Maji! No! I should stay here! No I should...ARGH!" He bounds toward his mate in distraction, tail flipping with concern.

The lioness watched him, laying on her side as she let out some small painful growls.
He wouldn't leave her, she needed him here.
"No, Ramses, please stay."
She almost whimpered out.
Another strong contraction of pain rippled through her body, instincts making her push no matter how much pain there was.
C'mon old girl.
Finally after a few moment's of painful pushing, the first cub dropped out with a wet plop.
The new mother waited for a second before turning, eye's wide at the newborn before she instantly picked him up and started to clean of his fur.
He was beauitful, her first born and he had a mane tuft as white as his fathers!
As she ate up the afterbirth she looked up at Ramses and smiled softly.
"Oh Ramses...look at him...he's so beautiful..."

Ramses watches, dumbstruck as the cub is born, one with a mane as white as his and eyes with his brothers brilliant green, wishing he could remember which one of his own parents had had those amazing green eyes, so unlike his and his mates.
"I can't beleive this is really happening...it's so amazing..." He says, voice quiet with awe. "Is everything alright? I mean are you alright? Is he alright? What am I supposed to do? I'm so...FLUSTERED! But he's amazing!"

The feel of his mothers warm tongue against his moist body was very comforting. He wasn't quite sure what was happening. Time was passing by so quickly, yet it didn't seem to move at all. He squinted a little while his eyes fully adjusted to the lighting. He saw his caring mother and his panicky father, both with immense love in their eyes and words.

The lioness watched her mate, ears perked curiously before she smiled softly.
He could get so cublike at times, but that was part of the reason she loved him.
"Ramses, I'm alright and so is our baby..." She said softly, she then smiled and nuzzled her little gray bundle.
"I think his name shall be...Anubis...it suits him..."
However, there was no rest for first mothers and soon enough the contractions started again, she growled slightly, moving her first born to her nipples to drink while she pushed out it's younger sibling.
The question was, how many was she going to have.
But through her thougths, another push and strong contraction made her push out the second one.
And boy was this one a surprise.
She blinked, staring at the dark female for a moment before picking her up.
Swiftly eating up the afterbirth before lapping away at her amazingly dark fur.
This one was darker then Ramses!

Black as a panther, the little girl was in fact darker than either of them, a similar black to her mothers mane and tail tip, save for the soft brown markings like her uncles. She squeals in new born indignation as she's lifted up and licked, though she leans into such attentions, staggering on new born legs as she quests, blinking bleary blood red eyes, as she moves to seek food and warmth with bullish determination.
"Wow....." He says softly, leaning forward slightly with awe. So dark..."She's so...black!" He can barely make out that her toes and belly are a lighter shade than the rest and grins with awe as he realizes it. "She's amazing...they're both amazing Laana...YOU'RE amazing..."

The new mother of two smiled softly, only to nudge her little girl beside her older brother, watching them before she looked up at Ramses and purred softly.
"Thank you..." She then turned back to her little one's, ear's flattened softly in admiration as she thought of a name for the newest one.
"Hmmm...how about...Sekhmet...it's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl..."
While her little one's nurse, contractions started again and she lay her head down, knowing what to do and actualy getting used to the pain.
After two cub's already, you'd know what to expect.
This one was surprisingly quick as it came out, only to reveal itself as another little girl.
Laana gave a warm, thought exhausted smile, picking up this one and cleaning her off.
She was nearly her exact double, but had her father's marking.

Eyes squeezed tight shut, the little grey girl mewled pitifully at the cold emptiness around her. What was going on? Where were her siblings? They'd been all curled up together and quite content. But they had left her, and now here she was, overwhelmed by bright light and sounds that were so very loud!
She yowled, almost as if to say, "Hey! What's the deal?" Just then, she felt something close around her shoulders and draw her close against something amazingly soft. A rough pressure stroked her side and felt so very good. Her mewling stopped, and a faint purr began to vibrate her tiny body. This she could deal with. She snuggled against her mother and gave a small, contented sigh.
((Sorry I was a little late! My son's sick, so I wasn't online. Woohoo, I'm so excited to be able to rp my little girl now! ::dances joyfully:: ))

"I think Sekhmet is a wonderful name." Ramses agrees, stepping forward to nuzzle Laana affectionately, gazing at the newborn cubs. He feels almost too light to stay on the ground, he's so full of pride and affection it seems as though he could drift off on the lightest breeze.
Sekhmet squeaks again as she's nudged forward by the vast warm shape of her mother, before nuzzling up close to her side, next to her brother. This is better, this is what she was looking for. Food, warmpth, saftey....

"And this new female shall be Shani."
The lioness smiled softly, nuzzling deeply into her mate's mane before another, unusualy sharp contraction flowed through her body, making the female snarl slightly.
She looked up at Ramses and licked his muzzle.
"Looks like I'm not done yet though."
Dear Storm God would this ever be over?
Apparently not as she started to push, growling loudly as the throbs of pain grew stronger, the other's weren't HALF as hard as this one.
However soon there was a plop, along with a small gush and blood and she turned, only to look wide eye'd at the blood drenched cub.
The cub didn't squeek, nor did it breath, it took a small, blind look around, the cascade of redness and the lack of warmth only to force him to fill his lungs with air and let out a loud squeal.
Only to silence them slightly as he was picked up and cleaned briskly, leaning in to his mother's tongue slightly as he gre silent and calm.
The enticing aroma of milk and foul stench of birth making him snort a little, ony for the large lioness to chuckle.
Laana cleaned of the pure white cub's fur, glancing softly at the marking on his shoulder but paying no heed...for now.
Only to smile and nudge him between his brother and sister's to drink.
"And Moses...my little Moses..."
