Harrison arrived again at Lawr's door, and this time (at least) he wasn't dragging him.
However, once they actually got there, instead of waiting for Lawr to make excuses about the keys and wait for him to leave, he knocked.

The door creaked open showing Melvin, dressed in jeans, a t-shirt, and a hoodie. In short, he had no plans that anyone would be arriving and had been watching TV on his laptop on the bed. Hair a bit more curly than usual, he blinked as he looked over at Harrison at his door with Jan. He had only last spoken to the Moon during the commission of their furniture.
"Um....Hi Harrison." He said, and then looked at Jan. It felt troubling to have a Moon unannounced - or maybe Jan wanted to get some more chairs?

Lawrence, as soon as the door was open dramatically pushed into the room as if escaping a crazed murderer. "If you had ANY idea how much of a brute that man is you would close the door right now." he said.
"I was just sparring him and he picked me up, manhandled me and dragged me unconcious to the infirmary where he groped and stabbed me."
He dramatically sat on the couch.
"Now he's come to no doubt lecture you too, and possibly make you drink orange juice against your will."

"He fainted," Harrison supplied dryly, "and we took his vitals and a blood sample. I have the printout."
Rodney, who was on the couch, looked exceedingly alarmed. "Lawrence...are you okay?" He asked, meaning it. "Why did you pass out?"

Stepping back to let Jan pass, Melvin lingered by the door to listen to what was even happening. "Unconscious?" He started at first, but soon found the answer with Harrison's short reply.
"You passed out while sparing?" He knew that Jan always appeared pale and was thin, but to have him pass out suggested he might just be overworked.
Turning, he gestured for Harrison to come in. "You printed them out?" Which meant something he was sure or else Harrison would't be here. "What's wrong?"

Oh wonderful, now he was surrounded by people all on the alert over nothing. It wasn't often that Lawrence felt he was in a sensory overload, but at the moment he wanted nothing more than to shut himself in his room away from everyone in the dorm at that present moment in time.
"It is nothing and frankly no one's business. Is there no such thing as confidentiality?"
"I am fine by the way if anyone chooses to listen to me over my assailant.'

"He's dying," Harrison said frankly. "His weapon's the only thing keeping him walking. " He looked at Melvin, "I know you at least care what happens to him, but...he was training for the Sahara, I guess. And he's got...nutritional deficiencies. I drew up some stuff. A workout plan. He needs to be doing that every other day. And some protein shakes, to get his strength back up. He needs to do that every morning. But he also has got to start eating regular again."

"What?!" To hear the word DYING sent a very sensitive chord with the hunter and he could feel his heart immediately racing with a rush of thick dread.
He turned about, looking at Jan who seemed completely annoyed by the simple idea of it, which had him at least a little skeptical.
"But....he's been going on missions. Surely everyone there would - I mean they wouldn't let someone like that be cleared to go to Russia." He said, turning to Harrison and then back at Jan. "I mean....I mean he looks........he doesn't look any different...." But then again, Jan was always pale. It had been something Melvin just associated with being natural for the man.
Walking over, he sat down next to Jan. "Jan...this sounds serious. Maybe you - feel ok because of your weapon, but fainting? What if that happened during a mission." He reached out to hold Jan's hand before looking over at Harrison.
"What does the printout even show?" If Jan was so against it, maybe it was jus t- .....not as serious as Harrison was making it out to be?
His fingers squeezed Jan's a bit more tightly.
He's here. He isn't going to leave. Not after everything we've been through.

Lawr surrendered his hand to the Melvin cause but was obviously not pleased at all to be put in such a sharp spotlight.
"It was once, it was after a long spar, I skipped breakfast it is hardly the end of the world. I do not want to discuss any of this and I am not comfortable with whatever sort of intervention this purports to be."
"If it happened during a mission then perhaps, but it has not. This is none of anyone's business. My medical history is my own, are we just going to start bandying around everything? I had a slipped disc too, do you need to know that? What about the ice crotch or whatever they call it, are we just having some sort of embarassing medical meeting?" he shook his head.
"I should frankly like nothing better than a lie down."

"You can look at the printout if you want. Just his values and blood count being lower than they aughta. He's gotten taken off Sahara work, until he's better," Harrison continued, ignoring Lawr. "It is real serious. But there's nobody outside this room that's going to help him. Now, aside from the shake, you need to make sure he's having a lunch. Something light, like a sandwich, is okay. Dinner, too. Just regular stuff. A meat with vegetables. I don't know why he doesn't want to talk about it. You'd think he'd be keener on being alive, but maybe he doesn't like himself as much as I thought."
Harrison looked awkward.
"It'd be good if he had someone he could talk to honest about it. That person's not me."

Melvin sat there, looking down at Jan's hand. It was always thing, nimble, but he had always thought it was the fingers of an artist. Now, he worried if they were the brittle fingers of someone just about to breathe their last before their grip left his.
"Thank you, Harrison. For bringing Jan to the infirmary and checking up on him. A lot of people would be assholes and left him there.....and thanks for the advice." He looked up at the Moon, genuinely thankful someone was watching over Jan when Melvin wasn't around. Some people could be vindictive and spiteful, but Harrison didn't put Twitter and gossip before his own responsibilities as a very good medic.
"Jan, we need to talk about this."

Lawrence was just plain irritable.
"No. We don't" he said. "I would rather not. At least." and he softened. "Not right now. Perhaps later, when I feel more up to dealing with it. Right now I am tired and have been through quite a lot. I would like to have a shower and then nap."
The word nap sent Butch into delighted barking and he felt even tireder than before.
"And don't worry Melvin." he said and returned the squeeze. "It isn't as bad as he is scaring you with."
Harrison got a peevish glare.

"Did you...have anything to eat today yet?" Rodney asked, clutching his sweater.
"Nothing," Harrison filled in. "Listen, he needs to start today, not tomorrow. He also probably would be due for Butch changing, and if it happens now while he's weak it could all get stunted. ...Now, I set him out a beginning workout schedule. You got any questions about that, or the shakes, go on and text me. I think the two of you'd benefit from the workout, too. So you both go with him. And either or both of you should be there while he's eating. ...We did practice defense today. And Weiman, you did a real good job. Once you get back on your feet, you'll be a force to be reckoned with. But it's up to you. ...and you guys."
Harrison tossed the cup, and gave Melvin the papers.
"Uh, so. Feel better. I can show all you around the gym tomorrow morning, if you haven't used it before."
Harrison excused himself, closing the door behind him. He wasn't sure if it was worth it. Lawrence was an ungrateful piece of s**t. An ungrateful piece of s**t who had lived in his room for who knew how many months.

He nodded and let Harrison leave, waiting a moment before he stood up. "If...you're tired. Then take a shower and go to bed. I'm make it for you. But....when you wake up, I want you to eat something, Ok?" He moved his hands over and over Jan's' own, not able to directly look at him before he slowly lift them up and kissed them. Then, reluctantly, he let them go.
"The towels are fresh." He said, forcing a smile as his throat went tight and he rose up, looking away from Jan as he felt a tremor shake through him.
"....water...should be warm too."

Patronising, Lawrence thought as he listened to Harrison, and inconvenient. The idea of having to sit and eat in front of other people for his own theoretical good made the cold fury he was nursing spike dangerously. He did not intend to allow it but it was something he refused to even deal with then and there.
He notably refused to agree to Melvin's request as he rose and avoided Rodney's gaze entirely.
"Thanks." He said to the blonde man and gently stroked his hair as he passed.
"See you both later."
And he turned and headed to the bathroom, as soon as he was in, turning back and locking the door.
<< They urr right ye know masturr>> Butch said sadly.
"I know!" Lawr snapped briskly enough to make the canine flinch in his thoughts.
He had never wanted to undress less but the water would help, it would warm him up. And he wouldn't be asked any more questions for a while.
He took his time and when reluctantly he had to head to the bedroom he intended it to be without a look at either of them, even the gnawing hunger somehow tainted by their judgemental presence.
