Prompt
It was bound to happen eventually.

With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.

And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.

With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....

The first thing that had worried Alassiel about the wandering beasts of Yaeli was Ziel’s safety. She didn’t know anything about these beasts and fi they were dangerous she didn’t want her daughter anywhere near the animals. So, if she was not watching Ziel playing on the beach Z’ran was. They’d agreed not to let the little girl get out of their sight. Ally didn’t know when she’d become this over protective but she simply didn’t trust the merchants bringing back something that was safe to their shores. Or at least anything that wasn’t harmful in some kind of way.

Alassiel rested on the beach now, legs extended in front of her one leg over the other as she leaned back on her forearms relaxing. Ziel was playing in the water, splashing about and giggling in her high pitch voice. Z’ran and her had thought about having more kids, but hadn’t decided to make it official yet. Z’ran thought they ought to be a bit older before so that they could have time to extend their home for more children. They’d already spent a pretty penny upgrading to make a room not only for Ziel but also something a little more private for themselves.

“Mama look look!!” Ally turned to see Ziel running towards something, narrowing her eyes the Shifter got up quickly noticing what the thing was and began to run.

“Ziel get away from that thing!” But the little girl wasn’t listening and Alassiel ran faster. The little half breed was just about to pick up the strange familiar when Alassiel scooped her up into her arms and moved back from the thing. “Ziel what did mommy tell you about touching things you shouldn’t?” Putting her down, Alassiel went back and grabbed her spear. “Go get daddy.”

Ziel ran and Alassiel focused on the creature. It was a tintural from the looks of it. She only knew because of the description the merchants had given her, it didn’t look harmful? But looks were deceiving and Alassiel didn’t want to take a chance. She poked the thing with her spear and it retracted into its shell. Alassiel poked it again and this time its head came out and tried to snap at her spear.

“Don’t like being poked huh?” She eyed the thing before finally coming up with an idea on how to get rid of it. “You aren’t smarter than me.”

Using her spear, Alassiel began pushing the tintural away further along the beach. Feeling the movement it stuck its legs out trying to stop her. It created a little resistance but not enough to stop her from pushing it along. Z’ran ran up to her and chuckled.

“Mind getting a merchant for me? I’m going to drag it to the booths.”

“Of course.”

Z’ran ran off and Alassiel continued to push it along until the merchant came up and grabbed it, thanking her and then running off with the tintural in hand who tried to snap at him.

“Well that’s one down.” Alassiel commented as she narrowed her eyes.
