Barter and Haggle
Prompt 2

Can be used toward Solo or RP req

Lately, the local market places have been filled with new traders offering their wares. It seem as if many across the land are trying their hand at selling clothing, weapons, and trinkets. With so many new faces, now is the best time to go to the market and barter for the best prices.

So go ahead and grab your goods or grab your gold and take a shot at bartering.

This prompt can be played from either side: your character can be the merchant, or can be looking to purchase an item. Groups can RP with both characters on the same side, or trying to barter with each other.

Bushi had to say he was in a rather good mood. The strange serpent that he'd subdued and put in one of the baskets on Aatos's shell was going to make him some good money. He'd let it slip, completely by accident of course, that he had gotten his hands on one of the creatures on his way back into Ast. He'd barely started to set up his shop when interested buyers had started to show up. He didn't rush anything though and neither did they, as though everyone was waiting with their breath held for him to bring out the merchandise they were really interested in and it gave them time to see what else he had to offer. No reason for him to get right to the main event when he had so many people gathered after all.

"A great afternoon, weather's nice and busy seems to be good." He said glancing between those gathered, unable to help but to smile when he saw the manner in which they were all starring at the hissing basket. Giving a laugh he said, "I will let you all in on a secret now, so that the less experienced among you are prepared. I may have subdued the serpent while I was out but I didn't tame it. I am not beast master, so I will leave that to whoever purchases the brightly colored beast." The warning was one that had the people talking among themselves and two, likely prentices from the looks of them, dropped back to let the older tamers step up. Probably a good thing since it was unlikely that they'd have have the coin to compete against the older beast masters. Best to get rid of bidders like that because there was always a chance that the older ones might pity them and let them win. Not a good way for him to make some cash.

Once they'd backed off, and the others seemed to be eyeing one another in a serious manner that spoke of their competitive nature over the 'goods' on hand, Bushi grinned, "Alright, shall we then? Since everyone is so eager to see beautiful Keldari. It's not something one will get their hands on easily unless you're willing to go all the way to Yael." He said, opening up the basket for a moment, allowing the potential buyers to look within at the coiled up, sleeping serpent. He allowed them look for a time before closing the basket once more, not wanting to rile the creature up, "So, shall we begin the bidding?" He asked, giving those gathered his best smile.

Some time and a bidding war later Bushi was happily heading away from the marketplace with Aatos, Profit, and a good deal more money then when he headed there this morning. To think that the beast masters in this area would want such a beast so badly. He supposed that it made sense though, wanting to get one's hands one something rare wasn't new. Not to mention that to get to where the Keldari lived one would need to travel some distance. A trip from Jauhar to Yael wouldn't be an easy one, it was why Bushi had decided against making the trip himself. At least now that was. Once he made his way to Sauti and Zen, then sure, he might try it out, but presently it was out of the question.

Turning to look at the pair walking alongside him he said, "Alright, we are going to see about doing a bit more in the way of trade goods, getting some supplies, seeing about dropping off a package with Sauron, and then we might be off to Sauti." Another go through some Tale villages on the way to pick up some more products from there as well, and then he would definitely be ready for the journey to Sauti and all the trading he'd do there. From there though he would need to consider his next move since he didn't want to bring Aatos to the cold lands of Zena. He supposed that he'd have to make those plans once he made it to Sauti, looked around, and decided what he wanted to do with the rust colored bushi. There was always the chance he found find a pet sitter after all that he could hire.

Smiling a bit he patted the big turtle on the back, heading for where they had been staying while in Ast. Once he got the two of them bedded down he'd see about making himself a list of all the things he'd need for the Sauti trip. Once those things were decided upon and bought they'd be on their way once more toward new lands to explore!
