Tattoos/Markings/Scars/Piercings:N/A Picture: Name: Arturus Valient Age: 18 Race: Human - Very cursed human Gender: Male Bio: Stuck in the lands cursed by, someone he didn't know, Arturus Valient was simply related to his ancestor, who had been stuck there when he was passing through on a journey. For no sin other than being born, now he was stuck as one of the few who could stay mostly sane through it all. A number of the others gave in to their fate, but while he was still able, during the daylight hours, he moved about in human form to find a way to lift the curse. At night, he is forced into the form of a raven, A dark raven.
Of course, as part of his curse, he did have the power to use the raven form, even in daylight hours. Likes: 1. Hunting 2. Fresh air 3. Competition and gambling
Dislikes: 1. His curse (though he doesn't mind the raven power bit) 2. Being unable to leave 3. Being forbidden to hunt Extra: He is a marksmen, a wanderer by choice and hunter by trade. Despite his time stuck looking for a way out or in raven form, he is still rather exceptional at it. He loves to teach the skill. Tattoos/Markings/Scars/Piercings: His wrists have marks from learning to shoot, where the bow rubbed against him, and his hands have thick callouses.
Dawn
My morning light
Combing out her hair Dawn sat in a stone window frame, this was as close to getting out as she could get. If she tried to jump out she simply ended up in the kitchen, if she tried to climb down she would find herself atop the tallest tower. She had tried everything she could think of and yet she always ended up back in the walls of the castle. With a sigh she set aside her comb and stood brushing out dust from her dress as she looked up at the morning sunlight."I care not if it's only a day, I just wish to get out"she said to herself with a sigh as she turned from the window

Arturus meanwhile, as Dawn was off dealing with her looks, was roaming the castle, prodding various stones with a broadhead arrow, trying to find something. He absolutely hated here, at least being forced here, and everything was just distasteful. He had a little more freedom, able to go around the castle grounds as a whole, given his raven form, but even so he couldn't sufficiently explore to make much use of it. It was growing tiresome.
The upside was that he could move more freely at night still, with the new resident keeping the woman company while he moved. Even limited as a raven was, any progress was.. useful. Though as he muttered to himself,"Not that I ever find anything of actual use. Thrice damned castle."
Grabbing her cloak Dawn walked along the hall, hung up were tapestry she had mended and kept clean over the time she had been there. Through out the castle anyone could she she had been hard at work, and today she needed to go and clean the throne room. ALready she had replaced the chairs but walking she went into the kitchen. Pumping water into a bucket she grabbed a mop and broom, sighing she looked around the dimly lit room knowing she would need to clean that one again today.

Arturus sighed and sauntered down the halls. Everything seemed to go on forever, just forever. There was no end to the castle it felt like, Avenue as he was at the very edge of the walls. It was infuriating if he thought about it too long.
Finally tired of aimless wandering and prodding bricks, he headed down to the kitchen. Maybe a sink would be smart. Of course, he found Dawn there as he entered, and he smirked a little bit."Oh my, if it iant our newest cused resident. Tell me, how are you enjoin our sty here at CAsa de Briar Rose?"
Hearing a voice Dawn looked up and the broom clattered to the floor. Looking down at it she gave a small frown."I must admit, it is not a very pleasant place. The wise woman has me cleaning and working for her night and day". Dawn gave a sigh and reached for the broom. "I do pray once it is clean she may allow me to the gardens even, I do so wish to smell the lovely flowers one day" she admitted to the male as she stood back up with a small smile, she couldnt really say she knew him although if he two was here he also was cursed in some way much like her.

Arturus chuckled and found a pump not in use, getting himself some water to drink. He wiped his face as he finished, and turned to face the girl, leaning up against a wall. SHe really wasn't much to look at, honestly. "Believe me, the gardens aren't much. No gardeners to take care of it anymore, everyone's given up long ago. A lot of us have been born to this little hell. Don't know how you fit in, you just showed up one day." How did she fit in, he sighed and stayed otherwise still, pondering what to do. Where to look.
"You ever wondered what would happen if the woman croaked?"
arrying the bucket and other items to the door she gave a small sigh when he mentioned her, true she had meet few although she fit into place much like them, only she had once managed to leave as a baby. Now that she had returned she was stuck her like each of them. "If the woman was to pass her curse would stay until broken, the castle will stand and we shall all stay our age till it was broken. Just as Briar rose slept in her chamber we to would be stuck in such a state until someone came to break it. The wise woman is quite lively after shes had her spirits Dawn said opening the door with her shoulder. "I must go to clean now, the wise woman will raise more then her voice if I do not clean more today"

Who, he had to question, was this girl who had become the maid of sorts. He shrugged and picked up his bow, walking through the halls after her. "Yeah, you do that. I'll try to find a secret passage or something so we can actually work on this curse. I don't much like the changes I have to go through." He patted her shoulder as he walked past, headed to the throne room. Of course, maybe the chairs or something had a hidden switch to a door. It was worth a shot, considering they had little other options left.
He arrived first, and began toying with everything he could find. Twisting candlesticks, messing with the throne, the floor panels. Hell, he even shot an arrow or two (the practice kind that bounce off things) at the ceiling in case there was a pressure point up there. BUt so far, nothing.
Dawn entered into the throne room in time for an arrow to land on her, startled she dropped the bucket mop and broom. Looking at the puddle around her she frowned, looking up to see the male anger turned her cheeks red"How could you?"she snapped at him in anger"I scarcely was able to lift the bucket and now look what you have done. I need to have this room clean, I can not have a young child making a mess here when I am trying to clean."

"I'm trying to find a way out of here Missy. Secret passages or hidden compartments with some sort of criteria to break this curse. More than you're doing. Sure keep the old hag happy, won't mean I can stop choking on feathers each morning." He put his bow on his back and began focusing on the throne. "Tell you what, you do what you can now and ill get you a new bucket of water when you need it." He couldn't find any secrets. Was this thing just a normal room? WAs this castle void of any secrets? He groaned and sat down, in the throne of course, and rubbed his head. Everything was so.. annoying.
"You keep her happy, she has sealed us off why cant you see that. She wont let me out, she sealed every way out so I cant run, she wont let me rest or leave this place ever." Dawn snapped glaring at him the anger she had kept to herself boiling up."I got out once and she wont let me leave again, ive been trying my best to get her to let me out. Cleaning every room, fixing everything there is here. All because I was able to leave once shes sealed every way out so I cannot leave here ever"

"Good for you!" He sarcastically replied, turning to look her in the eye best he could. She was angry, and so was he. So why not let it out a bit, blow off the steam so he could think clearly again. "So *you're* the reason I can't go out hunting anymore, is that it? You're one of the people who originally was here, and now because of you and your damned ancestors I'm stuck here. A wanderer without a place to go or a hunt to go on. And why I have to be cursed for the rest of my life. SO it's ALL your family's fault." He knocked another practice arrow and aimed it at her, tauntingly. He wanted to let it loose.
"Do you think I want to be here? My mother died, My father died and I never knew him. My own sister betrayed me and sided with the queen. My own family threw me here and left me to pass just like my mother. ALl I wanted was to see my sister be with her, but she dragged me here and handed me over to the wise woman. SO she could be free, Eve left me here" Dawn yelled at him teary eyed. "SO hit me with another arrow if you want, my own blood hates me and locked me here in more ways then one. Im stuck here as a slave cleaning and working, all because my own family hated me"Turning Dawn stormed out of the throne room holding back her tears, she remembered the night she had mourned her mother she had yet to morn the passing of her father or the betrayal of her sister. She refused to to cry again though as she had. She had been banished there and taken by her own sister and given to the wise woman. All the warnings her mother gave to the twins had been forgotten for a trade that now left one there and one free.

"You want to complain? You? My mother died in childbirth, and my father was so obsessed with escape he could hardly talk about anything else." He had put his practice arrow away and was following behind her, refusing to let her leave without him getting in the very, very last word. He hated it when he was left to be the only one digesting sad stories and information. "I am all alone. I grew up, alone, and the only people I've ever met have been broken beyond all repair. How do you think that affects a kid, girl? How do you think that affects people? My only hope to ever have some semblance of a normal life is to break this curse, without any idea what the curse actually is."
It was pretty strange, not knowing what the curse stated verbatim. That would've helped him a long time ago, though only the wise woman knew, and the one time he'd had a chance to ask her, she denied him. And promptly sent him back to his usual haunts in the castle, stuck as a raven. Brilliant days these were.
"Have you watched your mother cry when she seen your father enter the home? Do you know what its like to have the family you know reject you over and over before they die bleeding in your arms as you hope it goes faster, only to have that same look in the one person you trusted in your life? My mother died hating me because I was her child born while she was asleep, because I was the reason she woke she hated me and my sister. I never had a hope for a normal life, and I never will. Curse or no curse im stuck here, or im killed by my own sister. Be glad you didnt have a family to constantly refuse you or trade you away like a trinket. Id happily trade what ive had to instead have a mother that never existed and a father that never raped her" Dawn glared at him."I cant even die here, I cant rest. All because my mother lived and my father though he would have fun while she was asleep, while hie queen waited happily at home. Id rather have never had my family and had the wise woman raise me, she let me stay here and not kill me. She wont even let me die hear and you know what, thats the first time anyone seemed to care that much about me. So whine about while you didnt have a family because I would happily have had yours over mine, at least one cared enough to die for you"
