So we've all heard the stories about the creatures of the night, right? Vampires, hellbound bloodsuckers without a drop of humanity left in them, draining humans like juice boxes to keep their eternal life and youth. Werewolves, the mindless feral beasts that can rip men to shreds and change back into normal humans the moment the full moon is done with. Demons, Angels, Ghosts, the list goes on. We've all heard a story or read a book, seen a movie about these things. We know they're just legends, scary stories meant to frighten children or entertain the masses. Well, actually, here's the thing...

They're real.

Yep, that's right, all of them. Werewolves, Vampires, Ghosts, Demons, Angels, Witches, Wizards, all those legends and myths, scary stories that you read when you were a kid, those trashy teen movies and books that pander to sparkly vampires that can't emote to save their unlives. Yes, I know, even those. Hell, there's more than I can even list here, and some we don't even know about.

"Who's 'We?'" You ask? Well, 'We' are what is known as SGA, the Supernatural Governance Agency. We are responsible for knowing all about the things that go bump in the night, the creatures and monsters that are capable of terrorizing Humanity whenever they please. We make sure they all follow the rules, and those that don't are severely punished.

With the ever increasing globalization of humanity and its interests, the supernatural beings have taken to hiding in plain sight, as one of you humans. Did you think those people in society that seem a bit different were just like you? Well most times you're right, but once in a while, you'll be talking about a supernatural being. Of course, this could be tantamount to an invasion, if they were to all turn on humanity at once, but that's not how things work. They're people just like you, and they all deserve a chance to live their lives, even if some of them are unnaturally long.

The SGA as an organization was started and funded in secret by the UN in 2025. From there we compiled a mostly complete list of every supernatural we could, registering them with our database, marking them as citizens and keeping an eye on those who needed an eye on them. It's now 2055, and the SGA has authority to act in every country that is in the UN, provided it is about something supernatural in origin. We are staffed not just by humans, but by like-minded creatures of all origins. Werewolves, Vampires, even some ghosts, though that isn't terribly common.

So, with that introduction out of the way, may I say it is my pleasure to meet you and welcome to the SGA.

The Big Three

Alright, now that the introduction is out of the way and you're mostly done processing that world bending revelation, let's move on to the next section of our orientation. Since the SGA governs all sorts of creatures, we should probably clear up a few questions everyone is likely to have about the ones we like to call the "Big Three." The three most influential, if not highest population, supernatural creatures that have mostly successfully integrated with society. We'll begin with the one everyone is likely to know about.

Vampires

The undead kings of the night, they thrive off of blood, human blood is most nutritious but they do not survive solely on one source. Other animal blood can sustain them as well as different creatures of the night can be a decent source of nutrition, with the exception of Krusnik blood. Vampires are notorious for being beauties, frozen in time, usually in their prime, their appearance is always that of a being in their mid-twenties, unless the older ages suit their tastes better. They thrive at night but this does not mean they cannot walk in the sun during the day. The sun is merely a nuisance to them and they will usually stagger but not burst into ashes like some legends say. Holy water, garlic, and crosses are useless when fighting against vampires, silver will hinder their healing process, and if one needs to disable a vampire for a little bit, one can stake them through the heart, but the only way one may truly destroy a vampire is by cutting off its head and for extra measures, burning the body.

Werewolves

Lycanthropes, more commonly known as werewolves, are, contrary to much of popular media’s depiction, pack dwellers, and not controlled only by the phases of the moon. They have very strong family ties, long life spans and very rarely do they compromise the safety of their pack for a blood-soaked night on the town. The full moon forces the change only once the werewolf has reached adulthood, and they are often controlled and held back by their elders. If they spread their “curse” to anyone, it is usually to bolster their number and introduce a new person to the pack, if children become impossible or unfeasible. However, they are not all sunshine and rainbows, many werewolves are fiercely territorial, and will attack anyone who tries to move into their territory. While the packs tend to stay away from cities and keep to themselves, it has become inevitable that they need to integrate into human society, and oftentimes this causes problems. A werewolf will defend itself and its pack first and foremost, every other part of their lives becomes secondary when compared to the well being of them and their family.

Krusniks

Much like Vampires, these fairly unknown creatures are considered beauties, but for their abnormality in general. Varying bright colors of hair and eyes, a near infinite life span like Vampires, along with their youth. Krusniks are the Vampires’ natural predator, they feed off of the blood of the nightwalkers, though it is not required for physical sustenance, and their own blood, while intoxicating to Vampires, is also one of the most lethal poisons to them. When ingested, it is lethal as long as the vampire has had more than a few drops. Krusniks are weaker than vampires, and do not have the same strengths, they cannot turn into mist, nor bats, and they cannot control thralls or make more of their kind simply by spreading their blood around, Krusniks must mate like normal humans. They are much less complicated to kill, though no less dangerous, not needing their heads removed, they will simply expire after sufficient damage is done to their bodies, though it is an almost infinite amount more than what is needed for normal human.

A Note:

Please remember, that these are not the only supernatural creatures that we at the SGA will be dealing with. We are merely making an effort to dispel rumors and inform people about what is and is not true regarding these creatures that we will be facing.
