It's finally the start of the Festival of Life and the roped off areas are now free for anyone to enter. There is a large carnival scattered throughout the sanctuary grounds, a big portion of it being between the Main Building and the Dormitories (being the center of the grounds). There are food stands, carnival rides and game booths with all sorts of prizes. If you get enough tickets, you get some really cool prizes too! Nova has really outdone herself this time by making sure that everything looks fun and that the games are easier for all the young ones. Also, she and Delilah managed to fit everything within the grounds so that children don't have to be accompanied at the carnival. Most everything is free as well, thanks to Headmaster Rhun who helped fund a lot of the costs of the festival. The carnival will be running for the whole week of the festival. It also seems like Delilah personally screened all the carnival workers for those who accept and want to help Metas, so that's a nice touch as well. *Anyone may RP here that has a Meta. *You may RP approved quests (up to two only). *This is an all ages event, so any Meta may attend and play. *Please follow the shop rules! *Each day, you may roll a 20-side dice for a trinket/plush. You may RP all you want, but rolling is only once a day. *You may take only one trinket/plush at a time as outlined below but may end up with as many as you want by the end of the event. Food Items: (Even rolls) Cool Toys: (Odd Rolls) Plushes: (Rolls ending in 0 or 5 you get a plush instead)

A Festival! A party! Needless to say, Sally was delighted. She grinned widely, overwhelmed by the myriad of choice available to her. She picked up an adorable blue elephant and hugged it, giggling a little at the sound it made. Such a fun sound, a sound of innocent childhood. Tonight, she knew, she could be innocent. No one knew about Wereloc here. No one knew about the things he had made her do. Tonight, she could be free. She could have fun. She intended to.

Rhun entered the carnival, taking in the colorful sights and sounds. He adjusted his mask slightly with one hand as his other hand was occupied holding the hand of a small girl. He looked down to her and smiled. "What do you want to do first?" he offered to her, hoping something might have caught her eye. There was after all a lot to choose from. He smiled kindly as he took a quick glance around. He'd have to personally thank Delilah and Nova later for all this. They really seemed to work well together.

Zahara clasped both hands around Rhun's, tugging his hand in one direction before stopping and trying another. So much was going on and the games were so bright! She watched other people as they did the games and saw one she knew she could do. Who couldn't toss a hoop around a peg?
She perked up again, tugging at his hand again and pointed at the ring toss. "Circle game!" She bent her elbow and extended multiple times, trying to convey stronger emphasis in her pointing that the circle game is where they needed to be urgently.

Zahara seemed excitedly indecisive as Rhun watched with a smile. There was a time in his life that he had hoped to have kids, and this is what he imagined it would be like. Though, that time had passed and now he was a headmaster. In the end, he was technically a father to all young Metas now. Even young girls like Zahara. At least her caretaker for now until someone could adopt her. He smiled even brighter as she finally decided what it was she wanted to do. "Oh, yes! The circle game looks very fun!" he responded as he began to walk in that direction, being practically pulled by the young girl. As they approached the booth, he gave a charming smile to the attendant. "Hello, young one. Would you like to play the ring toss?"The attendant held out a few colorful rings out to Zahara. Rhun looked down to Zahara as though to encourage her to participate.

Leukos ran excitedly into the carnival grounds, his eyes lighting up with joy as he was surely in his element. All the lights and sounds, it's everything he loved. He was truly in rare form this day as his hair began to grow brighter. He looked back to see if Melody was running after him, she was always more than willing to go frolicking through the grounds with him. Though, he was usually trying to catch her in exasperation. This time, it was his turn.-------------------------------------------------------- Melody was lagging pretty far behind, not even caring to run after Leukos for once. She trailed behind him slowly as she seemed deep in thought, almost sad even. She walked up to stand beside Leukos and slid her hand into his, just as she always did. Looking around, there were quite a few people already here. She even spotted the Headmaster for a brief moment walking around with a girl about her size. She looked to Leukos with a frown as she inspected his jovial expression. She was slightly overwhelmed by all the noise that she reflexively began to make soft strumming noises as she thought for a moment. She looked around at all the carnival games, trying to decide what to do first. She noticed a booth with stacked colorful milk cans and she could only assume the goal was to knock them all over. She looked to Leukos once more then sighed. She wasn't sure if she should decide to do that, or to find something else to do.

Ten little fingers curled around the rings handed to Zahara. She spent a moment to ready her first toss. She went to toss, but didn't release. Just a practice. She bent her knees and gave a toss, letting out a small grunt. She smiled at Rhun as she tried again until all the rings in her hand were gone and she was ready to get her prize.
She chose from a selection of snacks and picked out a purple-striped lollipop. She couldn't quite think of the flavor, but decided that this is what purple tastes like. She placed half in her mouth, then removed it, forgetting her manners. She held it up to Rhun to see if he wanted some. "It's purple," she offered.

Rhun was very pleased to see that Zahara was enjoying herself. He watched intently as she threw each ring, clapping for her when she finally tossed them all. "What a great job you did! What prize will you choose?" He watched her eye the selection of prizes and smiled as she picked a purple lollipop. Even though she had already stuck half of it in her mouth, she still graciously offered him some. He placed a hand on his chest in feigned awe at her thoughtfulness. "A bit for me? Oh, how nice of you to think of me!" He knelt down to her level and took the offered lollipop and pretend to taste it. An expression of surprise filled his face. "You are absolutely right, Zahara. That is purple!" He smiled gently at her as he handed it back to her. "Thank you very much! And what would you like to do next?" he offered a hand to her so that she could lead them wherever she wanted to go next.

Zahara held on the her lollipop tightly in one hand and pointed over to what appeared to be a Duck Pond game. Kids were picking up rubber duckies and getting prizes depending on the duck they chose. She ran to the booth, looking behind her to make sure that Rhun was still behind before pointing at the pond. "Duck game! Duck!"
She looked at the prize, a cotton candy. She picked a pink one, but handed it to Rhun. "You can have it," she said to him, disappointed she didn't get a cool toy or stuffed animal.

Off they were again, in search of a new game to play as Rhun very attentive to Zahara's happiness. As she had spotted a Duck Pond game, she had run toward the booth. Rhun kept his eyes on her as he followed behind and approached the booth behind her. "Oh, look at all those ducks!" he exclaimed softly, keeping the excitement going for her. It was really nice to see how jovial she was about playing carnival games and winning prizes. He clapped again for her again as she carefully selected a duck. "Well it looks like you get more candy!" he laughed a bit, beginning to think on how she might act with all the sugar she might have by the end of this. Before he could finish doting on the thought, Zahara held out the pink cotton candy to him. "Is this for me?!" he gasped, accompanying an expression of surprise. He took the cotton candy and smiled gently at her. "Thank you so much, Zahara. That is very nice of you!" Rhun was actually fascinated at how generous this young girl was. It was a rare trait in a child to show such kindness for strangers, which is what Rhun still considered himself. Maybe she had warmed up to him over the time. He hoped he could have kept Zahara in his personal care, but he knew she would eventually have to give her a more permanent home. His situation was complicated and being the Headmaster was already time-consuming and required almost all of his attention. Though, Rhun was happy to enjoy these moment while they lasted, his grin growing a bit. He took a bite of the cotton candy and playfully licked his licks to mimic that of a child, "What next, Zahara? Do you see more games you'd like to play?"
