The thought brought a brief, flickering smile to her face. And as she sat on the edge of a rooftop, studying the streets below, she thought she'd probably gotten a better deal than some of those characters.
"This isn't so bad," she muttered to herself. Get magic, help protect the world. She doubted there would be profit involved, and that was okay too. Of course, the cat hadn't really stuck around long enough to give her any kind of training, but maybe it didn't have to. Still.
"Y'know," she spoke to the starry sky as she laid back on the roof. "If your gonna give a girl magic and s**t, it's kind of a d**k move to not explain any of it."
