Tyyn stomped through the sand, kicking and pawing at it with her feet, digging herself a hole. Sometimes she liked to do this just so she could see how far down the ground could go. Sometimes she would find a hard space, and it wouldn't let her go down any more than her ankles, other times, she could go all the way down to her knees before she just got too tired to kick anymore. Her mom always hated it because she came home filthy and tracked sand through the house. Her feet would be darker than the whole rest of her body, and she thought it looked kinda neat, but she guessed her mom didn't appreciate it as much as she did. Her dad neither, she thought with a shake of her head. Not to mention the neighbors got angry because she would just leave the holes there. Why they were so upset she couldn't say.
Today her hole was pretty deep, all the way up past her calf when she hit an end. She put her hands on her knees and wiped some of it off, only to smear it further before she noticed that there was something huge coming her way. She whipped her head around, her braid bouncing against her shoulders as she saw something mammoth pounding at the ground with its huge heavy feet. What even was that?!

Nuri's caravan had made good progress through Jauhar, not too worried about familiars in the area. Since the great war, Oba easily was able to capture radaku, and therefore knew how to train them almost as well as janarim. Because of this familiarity, the team really had no need to travel into Jauhar save for safe travels. Even with such paths, they still needed to avoid major camps and bandits, as Obans were just as angry at Shifters as they were with them.
Finally, they arrived in Tale and made way to the biggest settlement in the region. The others were keen to make way to an inn, yet Nuri was uncomfortable with all the looks his newest companion received. The limbara was an eye sore, and therefore he knew he needed to find a place away from the settlement for his team to relax. He didn't even bother asking for a place to keep both the large limbara and the janarim.
No, he'd just camp under the stars...it wouldn't be the first time afterall.

Tyyn waited with anticipation for the creature to get closer, wanting a good look at it. But with a frustrated sigh, Tyyn could see that whoever it was that was in charge of it made it stop right in its tracks.
She huffed and jumped out of her hole before charging toward the giant thing and whoever was controlling it. The closer she got, the more she could see of it and it was fierce looking. It had such a huge head with long pointed teeth, and heavy looking plates that looked like better armor than she had ever seen an earthling wear.
She screeched to a stop only a few feet away and whipped her head back and forth looking for someone who would be able to tell her about it and where she could get one for herself she thought with a grin.

Nuri, ever the observant man that he was, quickly noted the tan figure approaching. Containing a sigh at the fact that another child was interested in his limbara, he moved closer to his newest familiar and brushed his fingers across the beast's tough hide. It seemed to purr in contentment, and Nuri knew that the animal did enjoy such attention.
Once he and the creature collected themselves, Nuri turned with a sharp eye to the child, looking from the tips of her ears to the dirt that stained her toes.
Oh joy.
"Careful, not too close." He grunted out slowly, both to the child and to Naraka who was interested in the tiny earthling who approached. Naraka was much more controlled, but the ever growing limbara was not used to being around such tiny beings.

She saw the dark haired man only after she had stopped and gawked at the gnarly looking thing in front of her. She felt the urge to put a hand out and touch it before she was told otherwise. "But I wanna know what he feels like." She huffed, pushing her bangs out of her eyes.
She crossed her arms and eyed the other crazy armored looking creature with him before she answered. "And what are you, the beast whisperer? You speak for them, hmm?" She didn't approve of someone telling her what she could and couldn't do and just his tone had her starting to sizzle. She might have been small, but she wasn't dumb. Though that was questionable in reality, she saw reason for her actions that were good enough to act upon.

"You walk up like that to any beast and you are going to get your fingers bit off..." Was his dry response, and Nuri suddenly realized he was face to face, on his own, with a child. The awkward nature of uncertainty came through, as he only really had interaction with his sister...and his sister wasn't quite the same as this little hybrid before him.
"I am a beast tamer, and I would say that I am quite connected with them considering I capture and tame them for a living."
Another dry response, and another stand off as he looked down at the girl for a long moment. Then, he sighed and looked at the limbara before gesturing to his janarim.
"This is a janarim from Oba, and this is a limbara from Yael...my janarim has fought wars with me, but if you want to ride on its back you are welcome to try and climb..."
Maybe the janarim would distract her focus away from the wild-like limbara, at least enough for Nuri to determine if she could get close enough to touch.

Tyyn jerked her chin back in response to the grown up in front of her. Man it just seemed like he was trying to be mean and over serious. Was it because she was a kid that he didn't think she could handle herself?
She tilted her head and pursed her lips in disapproval. She opened her mouth as if to give him an earful when he offered his jana-whatever to her. Hmmm... Well... couldn't argue with that. She looked back and forth between the janarim and the limbara. Did she dare give up on the giant beast for the slightly smaller but still large ferocious looking thing?
She thought so.
"You don't have to tell me twice. And there is no trying." She threw at him as she approached the janarim. She would climb this thing and she would ride it. It looked fierce.

If he was in a better mood, and hadn't just traveled through the stretch of Jauhar, Nuri would have laughed at the spitfire before him. Instead, he glanced to Naraka and sent him a look, which seemed to be returned. The beast, all but groaning, snorted out enough to have the air hit Tynn's face, before slowly settling down on his belly.
"...This is Naraka. I tamed him as a pup and raised him to be a war beast...he actually fought in the last great war." He bragged, assuming the girl before him might be interested in such a fact despite her age. Maybe it was the dust on her legs, or her attitude, but the girl seemed more like a boy in personality than anything.
"Janarim have tails that can hit as hard as a club, and teeth that are pretty sharp too..."

Tyyn watched the giant thing slowly lower himself to the ground and grinned. Even on its belly the thing's back came up to her neck. She rubbed her hands together before she grabbed onto one of his plates and climbed up to plop herself down.
The guy in front of her started explaining the janarim to her and she listened with interest. Wars, huh? She smirked. "Did he kill anyone?" If he was as tough as the guy said he must have taken down some people in its path, right?
"You make him sound like he's pretty fierce, I don't think that I can believe he was in a war and didn't beat at least some people down." She leaned forward on the janarim, trying to reach closer to his horns. They were curled in so they were harder to reach but they looked like they would feel really cool. All gnarled and rough like old bone.
