He moved through the streets, hands tucked in his pockets as he kept out a watchful eye. He was buying time most likely, he needed to finish his patrol, then return to his office so he could fill out his own reports as well as gather up any reports that had been delivered to his office and turn them into the higher ups.
He sighed, removing one hand from his pocket to comb pale fingers through his snowy hair. To think he actually had to eat lunch with his co-workers. The sandwich and coffee wasn't enough for him, but he had ended up finishing them. It would have looked suspicious had he stayed longer, so he had chosen to leave after paying his bill.
The bag of marshmallows still sat in his pocket, a temptation he couldn't give into while out on patrol. He had missed his lunch break opportunity, so he'd have to wait until he returned home to eat properly.║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║ GΣȠΣЯɅȽ ϺΛЯϨҢϺΛȽȽϴШ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║

  Headquarters was possibly one of the blandest places to be if something wasn't going on. Usually he was that something. Other than that it was a pretty tame place that Leon couldn't be in for too long without feeling the need to knock some heads over something little.
In general moving around helped, though he wasn't about to do another patrol just for the sake of it. Instead, he decided to go and find Vali. Not like that would be difficult when the guy usually had a few routes he picked from.
It seemed as if Leon was right about which one Vali was on now. Which was nice because he didn't want to find the other ones.
"You most certainly enjoyed yourself at lunch."Leon said plainly, walking beside Vali.

"What makes you say that?" He asked, hiding his brief moment of irritation at the reminder.

Leon grinned slightly at Vali. "A casual lunch is a casual lunch. You treated it like it was the worst meeting of your life."
Leon paused with a small sigh, "look, you might be able to hide your undying irritability from them, but you're going to have to try a little harder when im around."He finished, looking over at few of the buildings. Leon probably shouldn't be this informal, though he wasn't around as a coworker, but more as a friend. Not like the difference would matter to Vali. It all seemed to be the same with him.
"I'd have a death wish if I didn't."He responded, tucking his hands in his coat pockets. "Though, there might be another request to be moved waiting for you."Leon said. It wasn't rare or anything, it happened every now and then after an outburst. Only a few select times, that were once in a blue moon, where it was a letter of resignation.

No use pretending around Leon, he was right. "It felt like a meeting. First it was Hyo-Rin coming in and asking if she could turn in her reports, then you came in asking the same thing. You should have known my answer before I even said anything." He remarked, combing his fingers through his white hair again. It didn't do much, his bangs instantly were back into place without a complaint.
"Though I'm starting to wonder if your end goal was to make certain I was eating something other than Marshmallows." He muttered the last part thoughtfully, glancing at Leon through the corner of his purple gaze.
He chuckled softly hearing that remark, "I wouldn't kill you Leon, there's far too much paperwork involved with the death of co-workers." He reassured, motioning his hand dismissively. Then he sighed, shaking his head. "Seriously? Another one? What did you do this time?" "I did. Mainly wanted something new to do, though. But I imagine the Xanthos brothers weren't much of a joy to see before we arrived."
Leon laughed lightly. He couldn't help but to wonder what they were up to now. Assuming they were still avoiding work.
He gave Vali a small smile. Indeed Leon made a small habit on checking on him from time to time, but he didn't want to pester Vali to much over it. Over anything for that matter.
Leon snorted, "A death?Sounds almost as if you have it all planned out to make it look normal."He teased. Paperwork aside, murder was also messy. "Nothing too bad.They still have all ten fingers."Leon grinned.

He noticed the smile and shook his head, he knew what it meant. When he heard the snort he smirked back at him, "Are you underestimating my ability to make murder look like an accident Leon? You should know better than that by now." He remarked, clicking his tongue. He nodded, "Well, as long as they can still do their job it's not that bad." That sounded about right, though it was a little shocking to hear Vali chuckle. "He's got a lot to learn if thats what he wants to do. Or perhaps that mask of yours is more see through than you thought?"Leon said moving slightly in front of Vali to look at him directly. He was playing of course, but this was a rare occurrence. To bad Aquios wouldn't get his "reward" for attempting to set Vali off.
Leon figured Vali wouldn't say much on that matter. Though a lot of his concerns went further than Vali just eating marshmallows. Honestly Leon kind of felt like a fairy godmother, but not really. There was less magic and wish granting involved.
"Underestimate you on that? Never."Leon said with a small grin. He then shrugged, not all to concerned about the person. Sure they came pretty close to losing a finger, but they were fine other than a little mental trauma.

After all, Leon had been the one person to see Vali at his darkest, and even at his worst on more than one occasion. "Maybe I let you off too easily these days. I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to use you as a role model for how to treat me." He remarked, moving to step around him so he could continue his patrol, motioning to make certain Leon was still following him so they could continue their conversation.
Vali wouldn't call it a fairy godmother, more like a nagging wife. He'd never say it out loud, but he appreciated it. He was certain if it wasn't for some of Leon's meddling he'd have killed half the squad and turned the office into ruins by now.
He chuckled again hearing that, "Smart choice of words, for once." He remarked, partially teasing him. He would put the potential victim to the back of his mind until he returned to the office. If the paperwork was on his desk he'd worry about it then. If not, he'd not worry about it at all.

Leon laughed and shook his head. That was amusing to think about. "I only treat you with the highest "respect" as my superior when we're around them."he laughed once more, following Vali on his patrol. Sure he didn't do much for keeping up with appearances, but he only eased up this much when he was alone with Vali. Perhaps even a few others he knew fairly well and maybe a few ex's that knew that he could be this 'laid back', for lack of better words. Other than that he was an angry cat to the rest of them.
"And your words cut me deep, Vali."Leon said, putting his hand over his chest as if to act hurt. "That reminds me, Hyo-rin said one of the gustiest things to me just before I left. I have to hand it to her, it's been a while since someone talked to me like that. Though I sure as hell wasn't expecting it to come from her."Leon chuckled.

He shrugged his shoulders slightly, "Hmm, then maybe they're reading from the same book. 'How to piss off your boss 101'." The suggestion was there, even if it was a joke.
He gave a rather impressed look hearing about Hyo-Rin's actions though. "Are you saying I should offer her a raise?" He asked jokingly, tilting his head slightly as he looked to Leon. It was nice people were standing up to Leon in his opinion. Toughened them out if they could survive the process. "It is pretty strange though. I had planned to keep tabs on her to begin with." Not like he wasn't keeping some kind of tabs on the different members of his squad to begin with.

"Perhaps you should get better at answering your door then."Leon mumbled. To be fair there were very valid reasons for that, or at least before he was given the spare key. Even then it was easier to just kick down the door."Its a good book, you should give it a read sometime." Leon said going along with it."Anyhow, I like to think that you enjoy our company to some extent for you to not get angry with us."He knew this was not the case, but it wasn't like the others knew a whole lot about Vali.
Leon laughed,"Maybe you should."He laughed once more and moved some of his hair out of his face.It was annoying that she did, but at the same time it was a good thing."Oh? For what reason?"Leon already had a list of reasons to why, but he wanted to know what Vali meant specifically.

He was normally in his apartment if he wasn't on patrol or at the office. He used to use his apartment as his place to think without needing to worry. He could focus on his work without being interrupted there, and he could eat without being judged. Or at least, he used to. Leon's habit of breaking his door down and checking in on him got to the point where he just gave him a spare key to keep from replacing it.
He chuckled lightly at the remark to read the book, "I'm sure you've got a copy of it I can borrow." He joked in return, his tone full of sarcasm. "Oh yeah, I just love spending so much time with my co-workers. I should just move us all into one house, live out our days as some big happy family." The sarcasm remained in his tone as he finished his sentence, rolling his eyes.
He quirked his brow at that remark and he smirked, "I'll see what I can do. I was planning to give the Xanthos brothers a raise for the stunt earlier anyway. Might as well give one to her too." His steps didn't pause as he turned a corner, his gaze shifting from Leon to their surroundings. This was still a patrol after all. He couldn't let his guard down completely in case something was out of place.
"I've noticed some of her reactions are different than that of a normal blind person. Not to mention it's rather strange that she would go through the process of joining our squad while blind. If it was about working in the office alone I'd understand the pay is good, and the office work is less dangerous than what we'll be doing out here. She doesn't limit herself to that though." He explained, lifting his hand and making a slight gesture before tucking his hand back into his pocket. "I'm sure you also can think of other reasons to keep tabs on her." Vali kept tabs on everyone. He trusted his squad only to an extent, especially after the incident.

Leon gave Vali a small look and chuckled."That's fair, but not many know you in the same way that I do. Not to mention the only three places you are ever seen are at, the office, your apartment or on patrol.In short you don't do much." Leon said. That was another reason for concern, not as much though. He could understand that there were people who preferred to stay inside, for whatever reason was to their own. But when Vali showed any off signs then it was different.
Maybe one of these days he'd drag Vali out somewhere.
Leon laughed at Vali's sarcasm, deciding to go along with it,"Yeah? Somewhere out in the country side where it's nice and quiet? Wouldn't that be nice. Maybe you could get the dad of the year award." Leon said with a small grin. Vali was probably going to give him s**t for that one.
"Vali, are you sure you're the General of an actual military squadron? Or the General of a bunch of smart asses?"He shook his head slightly before going to looking around. Might as well be of some use instead of just being a distraction since he was here after all.
Leon nodded in response to Vali. He noticed that too, it was almost like she was never blind. Which was impressive. There was probably more to Hyo-rin then just that, that could explain her further. But she seemed to be doing fine. At least for now that is. Leon would leave her alone about it until it started to become a problem. But again, she seemed to be doing well on her own.
