Temperance—that was the way of a Neptune knight.
With it came self-restraint and patience; taking things in stride and never rushing headlong into situations without second thought. Unfortunately, Slievenamon seemed to be lacking in that department. In fact, she was the direct opposite; the page like to jump into confrontations if it meant learning even just a little about how her opponent ticked. It was why she had a little too many unsavory youma encounters under her belt, but as long as a keen observation was made, she was willing to put her life on the line for it.
That night, while letting her legs dangle off of a warehouse rooftop in downtown Destiny City, she flipped through the pages of her little memo book. The contents within were of a barely legible notes and doodles of the monsters she had encountered from Chaos. Yet, she wore a perturbed look as she flipped to the last page she had filled in and stared to the blank one next to it.
It just wasn't enough.
Slievenamon was a tad tired of youma—sure, they were exciting in their own right, but had lost their charm after repeated encounters. Though only a page, she wanted to find out more of the other half of Chaos—the actual humans.
But good luck doing that without dying first, she thought to herself with a sigh after slapping her book shut. It is nigh impossible.
Daekie Hope this is good enough!

Less than a lifetime ago, the girl who used to be Sailor Warhol would have told Slievenamon to be careful what she wished for. But those thoughts, that person, no longer existed - and it wasn't like Chrysocolla could read minds, anyways. Why would she want to? People said ugly enough words already.
She felt the aura, but she didn't really care too much: she wouldn't go and track them down, anyways. If they were smart, they wouldn't go after her. And usually, first-level auras were that smart, surprisingly enough! But - well. Looking up from the streets, she saw colors silhouetted against the rooftop, legs swinging in a nonexistent breeze. (It was vaguely reminiscent of herself circa maybe a few months ago, but Chrysocolla didn't really care about that, anyways. It wasn't like she remembered being a basic Senshi- all her memories started at corruption, and she'd already been a Super then.) The Page didn't seem to be paying enough attention to here-and-now to notice the Corrupt walking on the other side of the street, and she decided: oh, what the hell, better to make it even.
She cupped her hands to her mouth and called out -- "Hey -- are you going to come down here or what?"

Slievenamon cupped her cheek in her hand and blew out a breath. Y'know, there is better things I could be doing right now, she thought. At home, taking a bath, reading a book. Heck, I could even practice my flute since dad's outta town. Giselle might make a fuss though, ugh—
The redhead blinked when she heard a voice. At first, she had confused it with idle chatter below her, but considering there was hardly a soul within the vicinity and the blip of an energy signature in the back of her head, it seemed as though she had some company. The page wasn't sure what to think of her luck; she was fulfilling a desire, but at the same time, engaging them wasn't within her best interests when she knew she'd get her a** handed to her.
Ah. She wished she were stronger.
Slievenamon felt inclined to stay where she was just to be, well, an a**, but thought against it and obliged the other. Dropping down from where she sat, she held her shell flute at her side protectively and pursed her lips.
"What do you want?" she said, eyebrows scrunched. One couldn't deny the look of interest in her aqua eyes, though. Her energy signature just radiated with Chaos. "Bored and looking to pick on new guys?"

Chrysocolla frowned indignantly, hands clenched into fists by her sides. "I'm telling you to go home. It's not safe to be out like this." Sure, maybe she had a bit of a double standard, but at least she knew what she was doing! A teenaged Page, alone, in a less populated area of town? There was nothing to stop any less scrupulous officers from pulling her starseed and leaving her comatose on the street. "I'm giving you a better option than 'corruption or death', okay? You should go home and never power up again. You'll be a lot safer that way."
Her fingers clenched. Unclenched.
"What has anyone even told you, anyway? They never tell anyone anything. Did they at least give you your name?"Unoderi i have literally the worst attention span whoops sorry >> how tall is slievenamon?

Slievenamon tut-tutted. She admired the other's straightforwardness, but it wasn't enough to convince to stop her when she had just stepped over the tipping point of this new, unknown world. There was so much to discover, she wasn't going to back down now.
"Not gonna happen," she said rather obstinately, twisting her lips up on her face. "I've finally found something I alone can live for. I'm not going to just give it all up because you're telling me to." Slievenamon knew the risks (heck, she was staring one right in the face), but they seemed to pale in comparison to the hunk of knowledge they had to offer.
Come Chrysocolla's requests, she knotted arms across her chest and raised her eyebrows up. "I found out enough," she said, not betraying her knowledge. Slievenamon was a little selfish in that regard; playing the "I know something you don't know" card rather childishly. "And, yes, I do know my name. It's quite a nice name, in fact."
Daekie It's no problem, haha~ She's 5'7" while powered-up.

Chrysocolla sighed and rolled her eyes. She'd tried! She really had! Maybe not very hard, but at least she'd tried a little to convince this girl to not throw her life away in the stupidest of ways. Oh well - it wasn't going to work if it wasn't going to work, and she kind of wanted a fight, anyways. Unlike some Pages (Triumphalis came to mind involuntarily) - this Neptune girl didn't seem like she knew how to fight.
Good for Chrysocolla. She'd been training.
"You're going to get yourself killed, you know," she said, almost conversationally. "I bet your name's nice - but do you know what'd sound nicer?" One step, two steps, closer, closer - "A mineral. Like mine." Close enough. Four inches or so of height difference might have been a problem in other cases, but - her arms were long enough. So Chrysocolla did what seemed like the most reasonable course of action:
She punched Slievenamon in the face.Unoderi chryso's 5'3" when powered up lol. i'm so sorry for her >>

Ah, she wasn't expecting that.
Ah, I wasn't expecting that, Slievenamon thought. She had just expected Chrysocolla to instigate her a bit more; y'know, show her exactly who the boss was between the two. Of course, the page would've stubbornly held her ground, but once the fists were being thrown, the page knew then and there she was on the side of a losing battle.
She landed on her side with an audible thud! as stars sparkled in her eyes. It took her a moment to recollect her bearings and, when she did, she directed a glare at Chrysocolla that, surprisingly enough, wasn't filled with hate. In fact, it was interested once again.
"Huh, so you Chaos guys know how to pack a punch," she said, more to her herself but loud enough for the other to hear. If she wasn't in the midst of a battle, she would've documented that observation immediately. Spitting out a some blood that had pooled in her mouth from her teeth scrapping against the cheek that was punched, Slievenamon stumbled to standing. "Show me what else you've got!"
Turning her shell flute around in her hand to where the pointed end face outward, she charged at Chrysocolla with the intent of giving her a good stab.
Daekie It's all right~ I'd love for her to get beat up a bit. 8'D

A month ago, maybe, Chrysocolla would have been the instigator Slievenamon expected her to be. But now? Now she was just mad, and trying to tamp down on that ugly feeling inside herself - and the more she talked, the more chance there was she might say the wrong thing. No point in ruining things more than they already were, at least. And it wasn't like she wanted to kill this girl...just knock her around a little.
Heh. A 'little'. Compared to so many other officers she knew, this was nothing but a love tap.
"We actually train," she retorted, hopping back in case the Page tried to attack her before getting up - and when Slievenamon charged her with the shell, she did manage to dodge, although barely. The shell scraped along her side, not quite enough to bruise through the fabric but enough to hurt a bit. Chrysocolla just gritted her teeth and stuck through it. "Wouldn't you like to know?"
The proximity was enough on its own this time, and she hooked her leg behind the other girl's knees and pulled.

Slievenamon backpedaled at the sharp swoop under her legs and gave into gravity once again. This time, she managed to level her fall a bit by splaying her hands out in front of her and pushing off the ground a bit when her palms touched the cement. She was to her feet again after using her strength to haul herself up again and, using this moment, she jumped back a few feet from Chrysocolla.
"Oh, I would love to know," she said, almost laughed. "Information is information and this is more than I could ever ask for." Giving in to her want, she used that small expanse of time to jot does a few hastily scrawled notes into her memo pad. "Care to tell me a little more? How does Chaos feel? How does it aid your strength?" She clicked the end of her pen several times expectantly. "Anything you can tell me works."

"What - I'm not -" Chrysocolla sputtered, cheeks going red. Here she was, attacking the knight, and the girl had the nerve to try and interview her?? "Don't change the subject! If you want to know how Chaos feels, just corrupt, it's not that hard...! How stupid do you have to be to try and interview me when I'm attacking you?!"
Despite her words, though, she didn't move to attack Slievenamon again -- still in shock at the sheer audacity of the action. "I do my job, and I fight morons like you. That's all you're getting...!"Unoderi i'm going ot Punch Myself In The Skull until i can concentrate on rp

Slievenamon stopped clicking her pen.
"Oh."
Disappointed.
"Oh, okay."
Dejected.
"Hmmph."
Dispirited.
"Welp, that's not a path I'm really willing to take. Thanks for the advice, I guess." Slievenamon slipped the pen back into the binding of the book and tucked it back from whence it came. She let out a heavy sighed that dropped her shoulders. "More thanks for the info and"—the page pointed to the swelling on her face—"the punch to the cheek; this darn thing's gonna hurt for a while. Oh, but hey!" She waved a hand at Chrysocolla before departing. "If you have anything else to share, you know where to find me!"
And off she went, just like that.
Daekie It's no problem! I figured we can end this is a post or two since Slieve's all, "no infos? gotta goes" rn, haha.

It wasn't the reaction Chrysocolla had been expecting, but honestly, she thought this girl might be a little off in the head. Either that, or she'd never met anyone who legitimately wanted to either fight her or answer her questions, because who would? (Would answer her questions, that is. Not 'would fight her'. Lots of people probably wanted to fight her, if this was how she treated everyone.) "The option's always available," she smiled, trying not to let the growing frustration show in her face. "I'm always around. Ask for Chrysocolla." She waved Slievenamon away, and before the other girl turned the corner - "You'd look so pretty in black." And off she went on her own merry way. Unoderi i think this works as a fin!! thank you so much omg, now i'm only 8 solos away from growth (which i joke, because i am not going to write any of those remaining eight)
