Dianthe didn't really know when it started. She felt like she had an intense love for knowledge as far back as she could remember. She had loved to read, loved looking at pictures and diagrams, but most of all, Dianthe loved maps. She loved the one dusty atlas that was kept on the bottom of the Freshling bookshelf that creaked ever so slightly when you opened it. She loved the old brown pages that just smelled like learning, and the scrawling script that held the knowledge of the world in their curls and swirls. She figured out how to read specifically so she could unlock the secrets that ancient book held, and boy were those secrets old. Each land held its own lore, its own cultures and people, with different trades and values and customs. Each race that inhabited these scrawling maps worshiped differently, but somehow came together to coexist. At least, it all worked out until the 500 year war. This period of history proved just a bit too much for the little Litch to handle, so she resolved to save the bulk of that knowledge for when she was a more seasoned scholar. The deeper she dived into that weathered tome, the deeper her love for history grew. This was why Dianthe chose to be in Eldritch house. The thirst for knowledge was unquenchable, and she knew that her path would be strictly academic. History then held a very special place in her heart, and she decided that she would study history exclusively in her higher education.
