He was having a wonderful sort of day. He hadn't a clue where his family was though. He had gotten separated from them but that didn't really bother him so much. He had his voice with him. Though he couldn't figure out where it was coming from. 'Come on, let's go see what we can find.' It said in a rather odd but somewhat darker meaning voice. He didn't understand it at all. "Where should we go?" He said to it, clear as day thinking the voice itself was also something alive and not in his head. He bounded along the woodland paths, his little tail flopping behind him as he did. He was completely oblivious to the fact that it was all in his head.
His green eyes flashed slightly in the sunlight as he pranced along into gods knows where and he had a smile on his face the whole time. This was quite fun. He liked being away from his parents watchful eye. 'Go that way..' The voice basically commanded. "What way? You can't just say That way. I don't know where you're talking about. And where are you?" He said trying to look in the trees or around him for the voice. Still not seeing it he gave his shoulders a shrug and just went in any particular direction, when the voice said nothing he assumed all was well.
As he continued on he thought he spotted movement up ahead but wasn't sure. "Hello? Is someone there?" He called out curiously, his little tail swishing excitedly. Perhaps he'd make a new friend today? 'The only friend you'll ever need is me.' He furled his brow. "Why do you say that? I don't only need you..." He said rather frustratingly at the voice. Why would he say something like that to him? He wanted friends he could see. Not this mysterious stranger he couldn't ever find.

She shook with pure glee at "escaping" her mother's ever watchful eye. Okay, so she had had a little help thanks to her mother's companion, but still. She was free to do whatever she wanted to do today! She bounded about letting out a happy sing-song voice. Anas Cyanoptera couldn't really believe she would get to have a whole afternoon to herself. She would prove to her parents that she would be just find on her own (well at least for a little while until she got hungry). She was still getting used to eating grass, seeing as her mother was slowly weaning her off milk.
"I can be grown up and eat grass by myself!" she spoke aloud in triumph. She continued wandering along, half hopping in hopes to see if she could fly higher than her little jumps, half walking as her small, undeveloped wings tired. Slowly beginning to grow bored--especially because her siblings hadn't wanted to come with her--she looked around to see if she could find anything interesting. Her ears perked up as she heard a voice reach her from somewhere nearby. "A new friend!" she exclaimed happily. Anas rarely saw other foals besides her brothers and so it was exciting to meet someone completely new. At least, to her, anyway.
"Hello!" she called, trying to find the source of the voice. Hmmm. I think I heard the voice in this direction? she thought to herself as she listened hard. She noticed some movement out of the corner of her. Turning, she tilted her head a bit, but decided that since there wasn't anything happening (well, anything dangerous; she had no idea what "danger" her mother was always fearful of), she slowly approached until a colt came into view. Hey! He has a horn like me! The first thing she noticed, of course, was his horn. "Hi there!" she chirped, feeling more energetic meeting someone new. "My name is Anas Cyanoptera!" She made a face. Why did her mom and dad give her such a long name again? "Oh! But you can call me Anas or Cyano. What's your name?" Anas looked around to see if there were others. Wasn't the colt just talking out loud to someone? She thought she heard him speak, but she wasn't sure if it was someone who had been with him or if he had been waiting for her to find him.

As he walked around looking for the creator of the voice and he gave a slight frown and decided whoever it was had to be hiding really good. 'You'll never find me.. you're looking in all the wrong places.' It said to him as the little brown foal trotted along determined to find whoever the owner of the voice was. "Well, you have to be somewhere!" He exclaimed rather frustrated about the whole ordeal. However his attention was averted to a brown filly with wings as she seemingly appeared from no where. "OH! Hello!" He said in response to her greeting. "I'm called DarkHeart, it's nice to meet you Ana Cyano-" He stumbled a bit on her full name and decided the nickname was best. "I think Anas or Cyano is best." He said with a small laugh. "You have a long name." He said to her trying to pronounce it in his head. Maybe he'd get it right? 'You look like a fool right now. Just close your mouth and listen. You don't always have to speak so much.' The voice said rather rudely towards him. He frowned and looked around. "I don't talk too much." He said rather defensively as he tried to locate the creator of the voice, still failing to realize it was all in his head.

Cyano blinked at Darkheart's sudden outburst. "Um...? I never said you talked too much. In fact, I'd like it if you did." Cyano wondered if she had, in fact, spoken aloud and just didn't realize it. No, that's not right. I know all I did was say hello and introduce myself...? Well, it didn't matter. Darkheart seemed fun, and she made a new friend! Finally! "Well, Darkheart, tell me about yourself! Why are you way out here? I wanted to escape my mom for a little while so I could play! Have you ever played tag? I play it with my mom all the time, but she always lets me win, so it gets kind of boring..." Cyano found herself babbling excitedly in the presence of a new friend. "Let's be really good friends, Darkheart!" she exclaimed enthusiastically.

DarkHeart 'Voice' He looked at her with bright eyes as she seemed confused by his words. He hadn't been making that comment towards her. Didn't she hear the voice too? This was really starting to confuse him now. Though he was quite pleased that she would like for him to talk more. His tail flicked behind him happily. She wanted to know why he was out here? "I was trying to find whoever was talking to me. Though I was also doing a little bit of exploring, and then I met you!" He exclaimed gleefully. And he was quite familiar with the game of tag. Though his brother didn't just let him win. That didn't sound like a lot of fun, having someone let you win all the time. 'You could always try to find me while you're playing too.' The voice teased and Dark actually found that to be a good idea. Poor little guy. "Oh yes! I love that game. And that doesn't sound like a lot of fun. And maybe we can try to find whoever was talking to me because I haven't been able to find him yet." He added looking around for the voice's "owner". He was pleased with the idea of them being friends and pranced around excitedly. "Yes! Lets!" He said. "So how do we want to decide who is it?" He asked her curiously. Usually he was always it when he and his brother played, but he wasn't sure if she had a different way to pick who was going to be it.
