And so the tale of love begins....

Vali was never the kind of guy to let his emotions get to him. Certainly not the ones pertaining to love, there were just to many things that could go wrong with that. Have you seen a super hero movie? Love always got in the way of justice or the love interest always needed to be protected or saved. Not to mention star crossed lovers were another story of their own. It always ended bad for everyone involved and people died all because two or just one person was blinded by the concept of love.

At least this is what the General thought.

It was on that fateful day on patrol that Vali happened to come across a gang member, this was a turn of events and was certainly looking up to make his day. With a grin, Vali made his way over to them, unable to contain his joy on just how much he was going to ******** this guy up. Inches away from the guy, Vali stopped dead in his tracks as they turned to look at him. 'Oh no' was the only thought that Vali could process before the other spoke.

"...Did you need something?" He asked, confused to what this man wanted. Yet Vali felt his heart skip a beat as those words left their lips.

"You- um, drop this." Vali replied quickly shifting through his bag, only to pull out a thing of marshmallows. Smooth.

"Those arn't mine." The robot responded, turning to leave.

"Wait- I mean, would you like to share these with me sometime?" Vali asked. This was the highest honor that anyone could possibly have. How could this android of sorts turn this down?

For a moment the android looked at the bag and then back up at Vali, "no thank you," was all he said before turning to leave once more. Any feelings of love and disappointment followed the android when he left.

Vali then returned the bag of marshmallows to where they once were and continued on with his patrol.

THIS IS A WHOLE FIC AND I REALLY DO APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE INVOVLED AND THOSE WHO READ IT. DONT LOOK CRAITHXVINCE

For a while now Octavian noticed a particular military personal visiting his shop lately. Naturally it wouldn't bother him as that did happen from time to time, but this particular man had been coming in and sitting in the same spot ordering the same thing. It was a routine, one that Octavian picked up on. He could only think it was due to the increase of gang activity in Reim. To top it off the man sat in the seat that Octavian liked to call the assassin's seat of his shop.

Every building had one, it was the seat that gave you the best view of the entire building, of all its exits and entrances as well as the different people who moved about. This wasn't unusual because there were people who knew about these assassin's seats, but a military personal? That was bad juju.

Today, Octavian decided to deal with this, not like he could kick him out or anything. Well he could, but he wasn't going to because this guy looked like fun. There were two ways he could approach this. As a worker or as a 'customer'.

In the end he went with customer, though he decided not put on a disguise.

Without warning Octavian took a seat across from the general with two cups in hand, his usual order. "Whats up hotstuff. Getit? Cause the tea is hot and youre the stuff. Just kidding youre the hotstuff." Octavian grinned, sliding the cup over to the other. "So what's your name?"

"...Vali." He said flatly and took he cup with caution. He normally preferred to enjoy any food or drink he had alone. Undisturbed.

"Aw~ Come on, you dont really think I would put something in that? I'll even prove it to you-"

"There won't be necessary." Vali said pushing the cup aside with the back of his hand as if it were now diseased.

"Huh, most people take free drinks.More for me then, " Octavian said taking the cup back and took a sip, "a shame too cause I wanted to say its on me and it wasn't going to be the only thing on me. Catch my drift there buddy? Eh? Eeehhh?" He teased, wiggling his eyebrows at Vali.

"Yes. I do unfortunately. Now do you intend on leaving anytime soon?" Valid asked sternly.

"Nope. But you're tougher than bricks there Vali boy, you know that right? Didn't even ask my name. Nothing. Now is this how you normally great strangers who just want to make new friends?" Octavian leaned closer in on the table to get closer to Vali. The other sighed heavily through his nose. It was obvious that he didn't want to deal with this. Almost as if every fiber of his being was being tested.

"Fine. What's your name."

Octavian sat back with a smile, which only seemed to irritate Vali further, but the guy wasn't showing much of it. "Luke."

"What a shitty name."

Octavian got up from his seat with a small huff. "Good, leave- wait no-" Vali said as Octavian scooted up close to him.

"Now i'm not much of an outdoor person, but i'd ride down your Vali any day." Octavian chuckled, leaning up against Vali. The other man scolded, he really did look like he was going to leave if this continued any further. Octavian's best guess on why Vali wasn't going to was because he didn't want to make a scene or rather, he knew that Octavian would cause some scene if he did. What a piece of s**t.

"Alright, two conditions. Get off me and no more puns or jokes." Vali said shoving Octavian off of him who complied and moved back to his original seat.

"With a face like that you can tell me to do anything."

"And no more harassment either."

"Mmm, too late hotcakes~"
