The Freshling was not entirely convinced he was making the right decision, but with so many of his friends moving forward and up the grades, he was starting to feel a little left behind. Evan never pushed him and let him explore at his own pace, but the Geist thought he had found something he could run with, and well, if not, he still had plenty of time to change his mind. Dabbling was never a bad thing as he understood it anyway.

With wide, caring eyes, Caper delicately watered the row of flowers that were on the sill in their apartment. He had his own little stool his mother had put out for him in order to go through his daily routine of caring for the plants he had won at the Winter Solstice, and he balanced on it carefully as he watched the water drip over the plants. It had helped him make his decision that he had enjoyed his science classes too, and thinking about the little plants that just grew up to be so big -- it excited him greatly, and he gripped the handle to his tiny watering can even tighter as he cut off the flow so they would not drown. He couldn't wait until they were big enough to bloom for then he could properly see the fruits of his labor.

Yes. At least for now, Caper thought he wanted to go into the sciences, and hopefully he would come out on the other inside invested in biology, or at least knowledgeable enough to keep his slowly amassing army of plants alive.
