 It was finally time she had worked up the courage. While she understood that it may have been a passing whim, an offer was still an offer right? It sounded to her as though there was little hope to find the meadow on her own so she had to find Syn and see if he would really take her. There was only one way to be sure but it required her to travel back to the place where she had been greeted so warmly when she first stepped into these lands.
Kuwanyauma fluttered her wings before folding them against her back as the mare silently surveyed the scenery. While these grassy areas were nice, they did not hold the same lure that the meadow seem to posses. This was what she had been told by her friend. Was he her friend? Was it too soon or too much of her to hope that she had at least one she could call friend? Her golden gaze fell to the ground before her as a breath was pushed free. "Now I'm being silly." She murmured to no one in particular. All these uncertainties were getting her no where fast. Her head raised once and her ears perked up in hopes that maybe the only one she had come to know was nearby. If she had just a small hint of where he might be, maybe she could follow after him. Would he mind?

 * Syn watches the lake as he flies over it towards the meadow. He was thinking about everyone that he met and how he protected them over the years. He smirks as he spots the meadow. He had found a lone basket not to long ago and decided to take the little tike on as his own he protected the basket and hope that tike would come out soon. He smirks again and flaps his powerful wings as he lands. It was good to relax. The basket was safe with Feri she was changeling and she like babies as much as he did. Feri was a good girl he had proudly watched her grow and meet her own mate.
He had met Kuwanyauma a couple of days ago and like most he decided to help her since she was new. He liked helping others and making sure that she would be okay in this world. He smiles and looks around for her. She was a friend and friends where to be protected. He spots her and walks over to her slowly folding his wings and smiling again. " hello Ku, how are you today?"

 The familiar voice brought a smile to her face immediately. "I am relieved that I was able to see you again. Hi Syn." Her voice was cheery despite her being a little hesitant on why she had been looking for him. "How are you today? Are you taking a break from basket watching?" While her encounter had purpose, she was not the most focused mare.
To ease her own inner voice as it recalled the reason she was there, Ku found herself starting to walk a bit. "I'm sorry if I am asking too much but, do you remember when you had mentioned about a meadow nearby? Would it be asking too much if you would show me where it is?" Her tail flicked with her little stars clicking against one another when moved.

Syn smiles at her and relaxes " it is great to see you Ku. I am good. Yes, my friend Feri is watching the basket her and her mate could use the experience. They are young and have been together a few years now." He smiles again he watched her and smiled this young mare was slowly becoming a little sister to him and good friend he was glad that he could help her. " how are you? Have you met anyone else?"
" your not asking to much, we are friends. I'm glad that you care for the basket so. I might have you watch it. if you like. Yes, I would be happy to show you the way to the meadow. I can show you the lake as well if you wish." He smiles again and watches her. He would help her and show her the ropes just as Hanna and her family did when he first came here. [

His questions brought a polite bow her head to him. "I'm well thank you. I haven't met anyone else yet. This place is very large and I hate to admit it but the larger the space, the more time it takes me to work up the courage to meet others." She disliked to mention her own discomforts but she already felt a trust with Syn.
Blinking at his remark of basket duty, she shook her head slightly. "I am well skilled at caring for others but I don't think I trust myself alone with something as fragile as a basket just yet." The mentioning of a new landmark returned her smile. "There is a lake? I would love to see that too if that is okay." She turned her head up the sky. "Water is one of my favorite places to daydream." It was a past time of hers. She looked back to Syn. "Please lead the way."Nekolulu Sorry for the delay; family crisis @_@

~ Syn nods~ " when I first came here it was huge to me so I understand what it is like. take your time. no one is going anywhere soon. that is the good thing about this place. someone always come here so you can decide and watch the others first before you meet them.' ~ he relaxes more. He was joining the sun and being with Ku he like that he got to help her~
~He nods~ " I understand not to worry I won't have you do anything that you don't want to." ~ he smirks~ " yes there is a nice big lake it is to the east of us. I can take you there after the meadow." ~ He turns west and heads down the trail he makes sure that she following and makes sure that his pace is set her. He had to remind himself that he was bigger then most.~ " is there anything else you would like to know?"

Her ear flicked a little. So she wasn't alone in this feeling? That was a bit of relief that caused her entire being to ease down from the anxiety that plagued her initially. "Do you think it is like that for most when they first find their way here?" Maybe it was just a normal thing that all had to endure. "I find it hard to believe you ever had trouble fitting in here." He seemed like such a natural piece of the scenery. Perhaps that was because to Ku, Syn was the first to ever greet her and he was taking his time to show her around.
Golden gaze swept over their current location to try and get a bearing on directions. Her horn pointed one way then next but in the end she gave up and placed her entire trust in the winged male before her. Ku gave a grateful smile and bow of her head at his thoughtful remark. He was one who certainly who deserved and earned that bond from her. When he moved away towards the meadow, Kuwanyauma trotted after Syn and moved to walk beside him. Only while positioned at his side did she take notice how small she was in stature compared to her new friend. It was not often that she would take in the appearance of others but it could not be helped to be noticed how different they were while traveling side by side. He seemed so massive compared to her and this confused her for a moment as her mind wandered to this. Was he a large male or was she a smaller female? Surely she felt as though she were an average mare. All this thought left her staring sideways at him as they walked.
Ku had almost completely missed his inquiry until finally his question sank in and she realized that he was speaking to her. "Oh!" was her initial gasp, "Sorry!" Shaking her head she smiled politely. "I have many questions. There is so much to take in and I feel like I could talk your ears off if you let me. Please tell me if I ever get on your nerves or if I ask something too personal. I can be a little forgetful of how much I prattle on or when I ask something that most wouldn't dream of asking." However his prompt made her smile a bit and lhelped to usher the conversation into another question. "How long have you wandered these lands?"

~ Syn smiles again and watches Ku~ " Yes, this place is new and we fear and afraid of anything new. it will pass in time. I seen some others run away from meadow." ~He stops to iche his side and smiles again~ " It was a long time ago. I was exiled from my home. My brother made sure that i would have to leave. I have two different eye colors. one red and one green this causes others to fear me a little." ~ He smiles and walks for the meadow.~
~ He enjoys walking beside her and smiles abit more~ " My family was always interesting I was born in near a two-legger hunting camp. My father was the leader there for a long while. when I was young a shadow came and killed my mother and sister. After that no one was allowed to leave the herd lands. when I was young adult my father decided to have a fight for succession my brother beat me and broke my horn off. I was exiled after that. That is a little about me. thought you would like to know." ~ he smiles~
~He smiles at her~ " I will remember that." ~he turns down the path and smirks~ " I don't mind answering questions about myself." ~ he watches her~ " I have been wondering these lands for almost five years."

Golden eyes blinked at such a thought: To run away from a place of adventure? One that could open the doors to a beautiful future? As fast as the thought crossed her mind, it was already out of her mouth, "Syn, why would someone run away from the meadow? Is there something scary there?" She just couldn't wrap her mind around it unless there was something she was unaware of. The moment her friend had stopped, Kuwanyauma's silver hooves halted in their tracks as her head turned in his direction giving a glance.
"People who knew you since you were a foal had feared you?" The mare had to be certain she heard that correctly as she repeated back her interpretation. Such prejudice was completely foreign to her. The family she hailed from was so loving and all were very considerate of each other. It was at the mention of his dual colored eyes did she focus her gaze on them. Huh. It had not been the first thing she had noticed because too often she saw beyond the physical. The tale sprung forth more questions. "A shadow attacked? What is a shadow?" It was slowly becoming crystal clear from her innocent inquiries that her life had been peaceful in comparison. There was a visible flinch at the end of his story from her. The only thing that Kuwanyauma had taken note of: his horn. It was something she couldn't help but notice. Concern took hold of her voice, "Please forgive me but.. does it hurt Syn?" It was beyond her comprehension of someone breaking a horn. How does one recover from a permanent injury like that and still be so kind? A gentle smile was offered to the male. "Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry if that brought up any painful memories."
Her silver footsteps followed each movement Syn made, being only a few seconds behind in reaction. "Five years? That must be why you seem like this place is so natural for you." After all he had shared of his own upbringing, she didn't have heart to tell him of her peaceful existence before coming to these lands. It almost felt as though she had no right to say it aloud.

~Syn looks at Ku and smiles~ " Sometimes there are soquili that like to hurt others. they do not come to the meadow often. But sometimes they do and when that happens bad things do too. I seen a couple of others get attacked there. But don't worry you have me to protect you". I'm bigger then most." ~ He smiles gently at her. He knew these woods and the way to the meadow was quite safe for the time being.~
~syn looks at her~ " yes there was a old story that someone like me would lead the village to ruin. silly thing is that I protected them and never meant them harm." he smiles at her and shakes his head. " The shadow is what my people call a bad soquili ones that want to hurt and kill others. We had a what we thought was a bear come and kill most of herd and village. To this day I think it was another soquili that could shift into a bear." ~He looks at her and stops walking for a little bit~ " it hurts only when the weather changes. The rest of the time it doesn't. Your fine Ku ask away I don't mind and it was a long time ago." ~ He walks again and smiles at her~
~He smiles~ " yes, after I was cast out of my herd and my brother took over I left. I traveled many days. But was glad I had a wonderful place to rest it. the meadow was the first place I came to." ~he turns down the path and smirks as the trees get thinner as they enter the meadow. He spreads his wings and looks at her~ " Welcome to the meadow." The meadow was huge it had wide open spaces that seemed to last for ever. There was a pond in the middle and waterfalls in the north side it was sounded by mountains ex for the small paths on each side. The scent of strawberries, apples, pears, oranges filled the air.~

Mention of others who liked to harm another was something completely new to her and she found herself concerned by such a notion. However at his remark she smiled to him in gratitude and gave a bow her head. "I'm lucky to have you as a friend. Thank you Syn." She felt indebted to him for all he was helping her with. She knew everything would be okay as long as she wasn't alone and he had shown himself to be a reliable stallion of his word. The mare did not allow concern over what awaited in the meadow to bother her any longer. At the thought about the meadow, her golden gaze ripped free from Syn and looked around to take in the trail. It would be something she would look for later.
Such a story about one's own family and friends having such doubts left her to wince in pain for Syn's sad tale. "I'm sorry..." was whispered to the wind. How could anyone be so cruel to one they care for? Kuwanyauma blinked at the definition of what shadows were. Her ears flicked as something else caught her attention. "There are others that can shift into such creatures?" It almost sounded like a bad nightmare but her faith in Syn helped keep her grounded. No he wouldn't have any reason to lie about something so scary.
Her hooves stopped when he did and her wings fluttered a bit against her back. Was he alright? She took that moment to look back and retrace their steps up to their current location. The sound of his voice brought her gaze back to him and she gave a bit of a nod to show she was listening. She smiled a bit at the end of his story. "I'm glad you could find such rest after such a weary journey." She couldn't begin to imagine how hard it had been on him to get to where he was today.
As his wings opened her eyes grew wide as she gasped at the sight and smells and sounds before her. The meadow was truly magnificent and filled her with such happiness one could swear her eyes sparkled with enchantment. "Oh Syn its so pretty!" Despite how excited she was, her utterance was barely over a whisper. Slowly she moved from his side and made her way out to the lush grassland before her. A deep inhale brought in so many delicious smells and the fresh open space. "Oh how could anything bad ever happen in such a wonderful place!" She glanced back to Syn with a smile. ~Syn smiles at her` " your welcome Ku. I'm glad you are my friend too." ~ He watches her again and thinks. He didn't mind showing her around and there was something that reminded him of his mate. His Sera was special and he was bettting that this mare was as well he was glad that he could show her around. He hoped that he made her feel safe just as he did his mate Sera.~
~He smiles slowly at her ~ "it's okay it was a long time ago." ~ He nods to her and looks around~ " there are but it is rare to see such things most of the time they hid in the shadows and you hear of members of families being taken away." ~ he looked sad but he knew and met others that had family members takened then returned at a later date.~ " There are tells of such things and stories. The shadows are rare and are like nitemare. However there are ones that would protect others. Such as me and a couple others. You are safe here."
~He smiles~ " yes I was lucky. I hope you are resting well." ~he smiles and looks her over.~
~ Syn smiles and watches her~ " would you like to fly it is easier to see everything by flight then walking?" ~ He looks around at the meadow it was huge and could take many days for them to walk.~ " yes I love apples they are the few things I enjoy the others are melons." ~smiles~ " there is a huge gurdian here that protects this place his name is Entei he guards against shadows so this place is safer then it was a few years ago."
