Prompt It was bound to happen eventually. With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them. And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped. With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....
This was her chance to get her hands on something. So Solari went out hunting for one of these run away creatures. She looked all day until she came upon a Tintural lying in the shadow of an alley way. She approached it cautiously, hands out as if she wanted to grab the thing and carry it away. Not that she could even if she wanted to.
“You’re mine!” She had no clue as to how to capture a familiar but maybe feeding it something until it followed her home would be a good idea?

Tasinei Senja (stage 3) needs 40+ to subdue. Subdued but not tamed~ In the days since she'd left Neued to travel with Zimbasi, Senja had gotten disconnected it seemed. No longer did she have her morning gossip fests in the market places, no more evening chats over dinner with her large family about details and information that had passed through teh theaters. And it upset her: especially when she learned there were creatures out there from Yeali that had been shown off by the beast tamers who'd captured them! And she'd missed them! And now to hear, from what her lover had to say, that some had escaped into the wilderness all over tendaji? She was miffed to say the least. Not only did she not get to see them when they passed through the towns, the only ones she'd get to see were wild ones frightened and probably not going to let her pet them! She sighed as she walked around, waiting for Zimbasi to come back from hunting. She rather liked traveling, but she did miss her creature comforts in Neued! They'd finally reached an oban town only to hear that the attraction had escaped its cage... A cute animal that had a slice of earth and plants upon its back. She stopped when she heard some one say "You're mine." Looking around she saw a matorian crouched in an alleyway; odd... she thought as she walked over. Whats she talking too? "What's yours?" She asked in an amused tone as she got closer. She couldn't see what it was as the girl's body blocked her view. Was it an animal she wanted to take home or item she'd stolen?

“Don’t come close you might frighten it!” Solari hissed as she turned to glance at whoever it was that had spoken up. Looked like a shifter woman, but since she had the light to her back it was hard to tell. In all honesty, Solari had been much more frightened by the voice then the larger familiar in front of her. The thing moved so slowly, she had never seen anything moving at such a speed. It turned to look at her with lazy eyes as if to say ‘why are you bothering me?’. Solari narrowed her eyes.
“It’s a tintural!” She whispered excitedly. “One of the runaway Yaelian creatures everyone’s been up and about for!” Solari inched a little closer. “And this one is going to be mine!” She didn’t want some Shifter coming all up in her business and stealing the thing from her. “So go find your own!” A thief was always afraid of her own things getting stolen sadly and Solari was no exception to the rule.

Senja chuckled at the reaction she got; "I might frighten it? By the looks of it that .. tintural is not bothered at all." She walked a bit closer and peeked over at it. So cute! She did want one now that she saw it to be honest! But she could always pay someone to get one for her! "Don't worry child, I won't touch it. If its from Yeal it might be toxic like those lands are... I'd rather wait and get one from a beast tamer so I know its safe. And get advice on how to care for it...." She eyed it for a moment and wondered what it'd eat. Yeal was apparently jungle like.. more swampy and had a large mountain from what travelers had said. "Do you know how to care for it?"

“Well, they’re slow creatures.” Solari said stating the obvious. She wanted to appear to at least know something about the tintural. Maybe the shifter would keave if she thought the Matori was in charge of the situation.
“I’m not a child,” Solari huffed. Though she had not thought about actually not touching the thing for its toxicity. “You would rather? Are you trying to sneak in and take it from me?” Now Solari really didn’t trust the shifter! “I found it first” She grumbled, though she ahd stopped inching forward to consider how toxic the thing might be.
“No I don’t know how to take care of it. Do you?” Of course the shifter didn’t know how to take care of it, she was a shifter not a Yaelian. “I think if they were toxic people would be dead by now.” Or at least they’re would have been reports of dead people and warnings not to approach the creatures. Though if it was toxic… Solari didn’t want one.

Tasinei gonna have senja grab it so its "subdued" XD since she rolled high if you dont mind? Senja chuckled and resisted the urge to pat the younger girls head. Her Saki had that same tone when trying to act like he knew stuff! Though this ones attitude was more sulky; but what would you expect from a matorian still living in Oba where they may or may be treated respectfully? "No I won't take this one silly. And your near my son's age so that makes you a child in my eyes!" Also the attitude but she didn't say that! "I don't either!" She responded cheerfully. "That's why I will purchase one from a trainer and ask them about it! Since they caught it and brought it here and it survived they would know how to care for one right?" Senja thought on the girl's comment.. that was true. "True... Lets test it out!" She laughed ad slid gracefully around the girl and scooped up the turtle in both hands, making sure she din't crush the plants or get her hands near its head. Maybe it was dangerous... but only if she ate it or it bit her? There wasn't any slime on it she could see so it should be safe to handle right? She hefted it as it slid its limbs inside the shell to hide. "Its rather heavy!" She said in a startled tone. She was expecting something lighter.. but for a creature that was a good 3 hand spans across on its shell that was to be expected...

Just great, Solari had nothing to say if the woman had a son her age! There would be no helping it then. This woman was so cheerful, it made Solari narrow her eyes at her and wonder what she’d eaten for breakfast. She’d never met anyone so…Peppy before about life, it kind of caught her of guard. She didn’t know how to react and she felt like she shouldn’t be rude to her? How odd! Solari usually just said whatever thought passed through her mind, but she’d hold back for now.
“Test it?” Solari stared at the woman incredulous. Then the Matori kept staring at the woman with her mouth slightly agape and one eye narrowed what in the world. She’d just picked it up all dandy like right there and then? Really? Though Solari did slide a bit closer to it to get a better look when it retracted into its shell. That was interesting! “Heavy?” As much as she wanted to test it herself she had no wish to do so. She really hadn’t expected it to go back in like that. Solari stared at it, hands on her hips and shaking her head.
“Well I don’t want it, it’s boring. You can have it if you want.” Solari waved her hand I the air. “Too much work to feed it and take care of it.”

post 4: "Well," Senja replied to the girls incredulous question. "You made a good point about it not being toxic! So why not? And its kinda cute!" She hefted it then held it out for the other to try and hold. The small creature poked its head out and peered at her before hiding once more. So cute! I wonder what sort of plants are on its back, Senja thought, they were different than the ones she knew! "You wanted it and were warning me off just a second ago!" She twitched an eyebrow up slightly disapprovingly at the matorian. "Why the sudden change in attitude? Its an animal. Animals always take effort silly!" This girl seemed a bit ... unpolite was how she thought of it. Unenthusiastic? Maybe I should have let her pick it up first... this girl seemed to want to do it herself otherwise why bother. Huffy. A bit spoiled which is an odd word to think of since she was probably a freed slave. I wonder if slaves were spoiled? Easy cushy job and now she ha to work for a living?

Solari immediately put her hands up to avoid grabbing the thing when it was extended towards her. “I don’t want it!” She said quickly. “If your hands fall off after this well you can’t say I didn’t warn you!” She even took a step back to avoid having to hold it. “If you want it have at it. I don’t think I’m even allowed a familiar in the house.” She could probably ask to keep something small, it wouldn’t be a problem. But the moment this woman had said she’d have to actually put any kind of effort into it… Solari didn’t want the responsibility.
“Well yea it could be dangerous.” Why else would she tell her to be careful? “I don’t need any more responsibilities thank you very much. I’ve had more than enough of my fair share.” Nope, she didn’t want any more work. “I think you should take it to a tamer or something though. Maybe it bites, maybe it kills at night. Who knows.” Solari shrugged. “Always gotta be careful with crazy familiars.” Not that this one was very crazy… but looks could be deceiving.

Senja put the creature down and propped her hand upon her hips and stared up at the taller much younger girl. "You, young lady, need to be a bit more consistent! It's mine go away! Turns into a: you take it nevermind whatever!" She shook her head, her short pony tail whipping back and forth. "If you want something you have to stick with it! Not start it then give up halfway." She sniffed disapprovingly. "Crazy familiar? Is a shy quiet thing that hid the instant it was threatened! I guess its a good thin you don't want it since you don't appear to want to put in any effort to keep the poor creature alive!" The lackluster attitude was off putting: a matorian still living in oba ought to be more of a go getter!

Who was this woman?! Trying to act like her mom and everything! “You’re not my mom lady!” People could change their mind if they wanted to! There was nothing wrong with that sheesh. “Maybe this familiar isn’t for me, I’m allowed to change my mind. I know what’s good and bad for me.” And having a familiar that size who was about as useless as anything was certainly bad for her. Solari didn’t want anything to do with it and she was allowed to! “I do finish tings I start.” She grumbled throwin her hands up in the air and letting them drop by her side.
“Heck no I don’t want it but I don’t wish it and harm either!” She didn’t want the thing to die! But if it had survived this long without them it could live without them. “And I would probably have gone to find a merchant to come and pick it up.” Solari huffed. “So don’t judge.” Then Soalri pointed at it. “Aren’t you going to take it with you if you’re so keen to defend it? You wouldn’t want it to die would you?”

Senja rolled her eyes. Not my mom! "Now you really sound like a small child. yes people can change their minds... but you seem to simply not want to put in any effort! Laziness won't get you anywhere in life!" She had to stifle a smirk at the thrown hands; just like Saki when he was upset with Rastian! All pouty and I dun wanna! "Uh huh... and hows catching a Tintrunal going for you? I picked it up really easy... except it seems to be leaving... If you really want a pet I would suggest a sprite. They at least take care of themselves..." She eyed the girl. "Though from what I've seen pouty doesn't seem their type so they might just leave you." She eyed the tinturnal walking away and sighed. "Poor thing is probably just lost. I'll go take it back to the trainers I saw earlier. They at least have other tinturnals and can take care of it."

“I like being lazy,” Solari said in a huff. What was wrong with being lazy? Nothing! The idea of a sprite was not a bad idea… Solari narrowed her eyes a little and rubbed her chin. Sprites seemed to be quite useful too… Especially if they took care of themselves. “You know what, that’s not a bad idea! I think I might get myself a couple of sprites then!” Solari grinned, pouty or not she was going to get her hands on them sprites! “I think I am going to get going, you seem to have this,” Sol waved her hand in a circle. “Situation under control. Was nice meeting you! Have fine with the crazy Tintural!” And with that Solari turned on her heels and walked away.
Now where did one acquire a sprite?

Lazy is as lazy does. Senja thought with amusement and shook her head. The girl would find sprites a hard target to capture if all she wanted was something pretty and wasn't wiling to put in effort! A rock would be a better pet for her, I'd suggest a plant but she'd kill it without watering it! Senja thought to herself with a laugh as she picked up the poor tinturnal and headed towards the tamers she'd just come from.
"Lets get you to someone who can take care of you!"
