At Large
Prompt 1

Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend)
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7

It was bound to happen eventually.

With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.

And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.

With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....

|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.

|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.

This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)

xxxxxPrentice must roll 60-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
xxxxxStage 2 must roll 50-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
xxxxxStage 3 must roll 40-100 to successfully subdue the beast
xxxxxStage 4 must roll 30-100 to successfully subdue the beast.

|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!

|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

|| Those who win a familiar should be followed up by a PM to our Beast Battle Mule: Beast Tamer Freya with this form:

Species || Tintural, Keldari, or Limbara
Gender ||
Name ||
Owner || [username of owner, not character name]
URL ||

|| Title your PMs with "Tamed"

Kaalnia could think of few better things than to hang out with her niece drinking fruit juice on a balmy day. Of course, spending it with a pretty lady who wasn't completely and totally off limits would be great, and spending a day like this with her daughter would have hit the jackpot.

But Kiki was far away now, and probably would have said some radakucrap about Ilyra being impure or something stupid like that. Kaa had a few responses to that, and a rude noise made with the tongue and lips was one of them. Either way, Kiki was not available, and Kaa had been out of luck on the beautiful-women-on-her-arm front, so gorgeous niece it was.

"How've you been, Ily?!" she asked, plunking a glass of fruit juice down in front of her, sipping her own gingerly as she retook her seat on an old log-turned-table. "Haven't heard much from ya lately!" of course, part of that was because Kaalnia had recently returned from a hellish crucible of bandits and cold, scarred and a little more solid than before, but still!

"You've got to tell me everything!" Little did Kaalnia know that they had an eavesdropping creature, alien to the jungle lands...

Keldari go!

Her mother kept telling her that she needed to get out of the house more, that she couldn't mope around forever. She knew it was true but she wasn't ready yet to be out and about. She wasn't ready to face the world without her love. She didn't like the idea of being in a world where her love wasn't.

However it seemed her mother wasn't giving her a choice. When Kaalnia showed up at her door step while her mother was out she knew something was up. But this was her aunt, and although she wasn't up for company just yet she hadn't seen Kaa in a long time and wasn't about to turn her away.

She sipped on her juice, thinking of sleep and how long this little visit would take, when Kaa's voice brought her out of her thoughts. Did she not know? Could she not tell? Kaa had been gone for a while though, so maybe she didn't know.

"I haven't left the house much to be honest, nothing exciting on my front. Just staying home and bothering mom. What about you? We haven't' heard from you in a while? Mom was getting worried."

"Whaaat?!" Kaalnia put her - now drained - juice mug on the table with a theatrical clunk. "You gotta leave your house, Ily, that's where all the cool stuff is!" Kaalnia explained. She honestly had no idea about the situation, just that Bri had suggested this and it sounded fun. What outing with her niece wasn't? What outing wasn't? What anything wasn't?

"Oh, you know... Just fighting for my life." she said, making a flippant motion with a hand. She had the scars to prove it, though not all of them were visible. "Bandits, beasts, mayhem..." It was all very interesting, and normally Kaalnia would tell Ilyra all about it, with plenty of embellishments. Except, this time, she had learned to wait. Go on, her glittering, mischevious eyes almost seemed to say, ask me about it!

"Yeah, cool stuff." She mused out loud. Personally she didn't think that there was anything outside that was all that cool, all that fun. But hey, she wouldn't know anymore. Maybe there was cool things she was missing out there, but if she was being honest she didn't care much to see them. What she really wanted to see was only available while she slept, so sleep she did.

Fighting for her life? She had seen the scars on her aunt, but she really didn't think it was anything that serious. Maybe she should've gone with her aunt though, it would have been more exciting then staying home, that was for sure. "Please tell me you didn't tell Mom about that, she would be worried sick."

She waited a little longer before speaking again. "What kind of mayhem."

"Nah, haven't gotten a chance to properly tell Brie yet - gotta get her good and settled, 'cause its a long story, but your mama, she always is doing something!" Kaalnia shrugged and laughed, before leaning in conspiratorially. "Well, bandits, you know. They had a whole hideout all to themselves in the mountains and they even had an armory - can you believe it? An armory! They were organized and everything! And guess what?" Kaalnia waited for a moment, "I got caught by 'em! I had to escape them!" she grinned proudly, "Exciting, right? Right? You're awesome aunt, captured by bandits, in a really well-guarded place, Fighting her way out?"

The more that her aunt spoke the more she realized there was no way her mother could ever find out about any of this. She would have to send Bri away on some task or something every time Kaa was around. The story would give her a heart attack for sure.

"What were you doing in bandit territory? How did you get caught?"
She was more worried about how her aunt had gotten caught then how she had gotten away. "And have you told the others? I'm sure that someone will want to go and make sure all of the bandits are dealt with."

"Well, there was also an avalanche. I was out hunting with Votzhem - you know him, big hybrid, blue, uses two blades - and it just came down and swept me right into their territory!" Kaalnia said, leaving out the part with Ruelash and her wounds and all the other unpleasant stuff that had gone along with it. That wasn't the fun part of the story, and Kaalnia was all about fun. Not that the bandits were fun either, but they were exciting. "So I was in their territory, freezing my butt off, and they actually kinda saved my life. I'll give them that, they saved my life. But then they locked me up so, you know, I kicked their butts instead!" she grinned, "Well, I fought my way out and met up with Votzhem, and we kept at them, so if theres any left, it ain't in their hideout." She left out, of course, her period of recovery and recouperation.

"Found me a cute pet along the way... OH!" she exclaimed gleefully, "Have I shown you my Raoti? He's soooo fluffy, you would not believe it!"

---

The creature was hungry, and there were things nearby that looked like things it could eat, but it was too afraid to move very far. Silently, cautiously, it slithered towards a likely mushroom, unwittingly near another creature... a certain, very pink, Raoti...
