WELCOME!
This section of the rp is for role-playing on the outside of the cities, whether that might be in the outskirts directly outside of one of them, or in the area between the cities. However, there are some rules to this that you should know! Like what can be done in each section, and what can't be done, so please read on in order to make sure you don't post the wrong sorts of things in the wrong sections!
Also, feel free to fill out the description of your own city's outskirts so we know what they look like, and what might be surrounding them! Whether that is sharp rocky cliffs and steep grassy slopes, flat grasslands and rivers, sand and sea, hills and forests or whatever! If there are a few old buildings that are run down and abandoned, or even a few homes that are not run down and abandoned, or even shops that might sit on the outskirts of the city, please feel free to add that in! Please also include whether or not you are okay with people having characters make homes on the outskirts of your city, and if so, if you have a limit to how many characters will be permitted to do so! I know sometimes too many people wanna live on the outside of the city in rps like this and then the city kinda seems really empty and sad. We don't want that!

- City Outskirts -
Okay so when it comes to the outskirts directly outside of the cities, this is more meant for rp that isn't involving traveling to another one! Pretty much think of this as rping in one of the topics within a city labeled as "City Streets" or something similar, but on the outside of the walls! Just like in the city streets type topics, here it's more like you're just wandering through the outskirts, or maybe moving towards some specific destination in them, or maybe you are sitting in a certain part of this area just waiting for someone to come by and talk to you! That's the sort of area this is.
The City Outskirts are also places where people are allowed to make houses if the person who owns that city wishes to allow for it. You may also make a shop on the outskirts as well, but it follows the same rules as the house idea. However if you make a shop, it might be better to make that in some way double as the place you live, unless of course it's like a small stand or tent or something and you don't want your character to just live there. Then in that case, feel free to have a house as well, unless the rules of the outskirts of that city states that houses aren't permitted.
Meetings between gang members belonging to the city may even happen here, or even a meeting of another city's gang who may or may not be planning on making an attempt at going after some of, or the whole of, a gangs territory.

Okay, so in the topic that is simply labeled "Outskirts" the style of rp is a little bit more limited. While at some point there may be added shops for the purpose of further rping (if seen as something necessarily) there will be no allowing for people to make characters who live in this completely neutral zone (completely neutral zone meaning it will NEVER be in the control of gang or military, it is land that is able to be freely traversed by all) meaning no houses, apartments, ect, and no one is permitted to have a character who owns a shop here. Any shops that exist in this area will be npc controlled and nothing else. And unless setting up for a character to be moved into one of the cities, they are not permitted to work at the shops either. (unless for some kind of story based purpose whether silly or not like you broke something and are being forced to work there to pay things off or whatever) You don't need a neutral character to live in a completely neutral zone, they can live in the cities just fine, just have it listed as they will have no interest in being affiliated with any of the gangs.
What is permitted in this topic, is someone rping their traveling between cities, or the rping of traveling from somewhere completely unrelated to the cities, into this area as a way of coming into the rp if need be.
Meetings between gangs or just gang members of one gang may happen in the Outskirts as well for when it comes to discussing things about neutral cities, territory, deals, or what not. It may even be a place where two or more gangs may choose to meet to fight it out instead of risking the people of their city's lives or safety. That is, if the two gangs involved decide to do it the easy way, which....probably isn't the most likely.
- Important Notes On Housing and Shops in City Outskirts -
Please note that just because a city has outskirts, that does not mean you automatically have the permission to create a home or shop in that area. It is important to check each city's initial post for information dealing with that city's outskirts. They should have it marked as whether or not you are permitted to have housing there, or shops, or both even. If that is allowed, next check for anything saying whether there is a limit to how many people are permitted to live in those outskirts/make shops in the outskirts. If there is a free space, the next step would be to inform the cities owner that you would like a character to live in the outskirts, by quoting them in the OOC and letting them know.
When making a home or shop in one of the city's outskirts, you will be creating your own topic for that home or shop. Once you have it created, you MUST tag it as belonging to a certain city's outskirts in the subject line. If you want an example, just look at how the outskirts for the cities are listed in the outskirts sub-forum. There is for all the cities the title "Outskirts (city name)" where the city name is obviously which city it belongs to. Please remember to tag your things and if your character is from a specific city, obviously there home isn't going to be in another city's outskirts. Though I feel I shouldn't have to say that lol.
