It was a warm spring morning in Houston, Texas. The sun was already high up in the morning sky and the birds were flitting about singing their little songs as they gathered food for their chicks. Outside a modest two story, white brick home, a young man was preparing two motorcycles in the driveway for a trip that he was going to take with his newlywed wife.
Danny chuckled softly as he threw his things in the saddlebag of his hog, making sure they both had plenty of money, a map and travel plans, as well as a few snacks for when they had to stop for various reasons. "Alright, you ready Roxy?" he called out as he pulled his motorcycle out front. "C'mon, let me see ya, doll."
As he waited for her to come down, he checked his cell phone, seeing a message from one of his hired assistant managers, Mickey. He sighed exasperatedly as he replied back, [Yes, I told you three months. I'm sure you can handle the shop until we get back. And if we're too far in the red when I get back, you can kiss your job goodbye. You know, no pressure.]
"Mickey, Mickey. I put you in that position because I trust you to be good with money. Don't let me down, man, I don't need this on my honeymoon with my beautiful lady."

"I'm coming, I'm coming..." She called back from within the house. A few minutes later, Roxy emerged from the house. As she stepped down from the porch she pulled on her black lambskin jacket and tightened the buttons about her wrists. "Sorry for the delay. I must have ate something bad last night, my stomach was all over the place this morning." She explained as she sauntered over to stand by her husband's side where she paused to admire the sight of their bikes gleaming in the early morning sun. "Stains has never looked better." She said, referring to her bike by its nickname.

He wrapped his arm around her hip and held her closely. "Trucy's lookin' fine too. So are ya ready to take a trip south of the border?" he asked with a grin as he pat her butt. "We're gonna be the sharpest couple out there on the streets. "Are you sure you're feeling alright?" he asked as he passed her helmet to her before fixing his own, making sure that it was fitted snugly. He gave his motorcycle a few revs before letting it idle.

"Ready and then some. I've read Mexico has some great beaches." Roxy replied, her voice slowly climbing in volume as they both started their engines. "Its just an upset stomach, probably just after-wedding jitters, nothing serious." She added, tying her hair back before strapping on her own helmet.

He nodded and blew her a kiss before they both revved up and took off, heading south to the exciting vista of Mexico. On the way, they made a stop at a Waffle House to grab a bite to eat and give Roxy a quick respite as her stomach churned sourly once again. Danny rubbed her back softly as she took a seat next to him while he waited for his sandwich and hashbrowns. He offered her a sip of Sprite to help settle her stomach. After breakfast and a short rest, they were back on the road, travelling for several hours before the sun began to set. They pulled in to a motel, paid for a room and parked their bikes. Danny carried Roxy into their room, bridal style, and laid her gently on the bed, giving her a kiss before he went to do his business after a long day of riding. "We made good time today hon. We'll be at the border in about a week or two at this rate. Hope you're still doing okay, sugar."

"I think that big pancake breakfast did the trick. Been smooth sailing since that stop." While she had been telling the truth about her stomach pain clearing up for the day, they returned the following morning with a vengeance and Roxy started her day in front of the toilet. After another bout of dry heaving, she pulled herself together enough to ask Danny to bring her the medicine she'd pocketed before leaving the house yesterday. Chasing the pills with some leftover soda from dinner, Roxy was finally able to leave the bathroom. "Lets go get some breakfast, I need something solid to hold those pills down."

He nodded gently, before kissing her on the chin. "Let's take a shower first," he purred gently as he reached under her shirt and rubbed her tummy softly. After a hot shower and a little bit of making out, they both got dried off and dressed up for the day ahead. "I'm in the mood for some burritos. I wonder if there's a McDonalds or a Taco Bell nearby," he said as they checked out of their room and got on their bikes. Before even revving up, they both took a look at their cell phones and found a Taco Bell about 4 miles down the road for them, and a McDonalds across the way from it. "Alright, let's get going, sweetie," he said, kissing Roxy before starting the motor and driving off with her hot on his heels. After a hearty breakfast, Danny pat his stomach and turned to his beau, giving her little hugs and whispering sweet nothings to her, to let her know that he cared. "Are you as excited as I am about our three months in Mexico?" he asked, trying to put the last two morning incidents out of his mind. Surely they were flukes, and he just wasn't trying hard enough to make sure that Roxy was at her happiest and well taken care of.

"I'm excited out of my mind, although nothing will top my excitement on the day of our wedding." Roxy replies, wiping her mouth clean with a napkin before doing the same to her husband's face. "Can't wait to cross the border and get some real Mexican food, not this odd brand garbage." Their mid-morning meal complete the couple returned to their bikes and continued onward.

A short week of travel saw them arriving at the US/Mexican border. They both stopped at the checkpoint, presented their passports, and continued onward into the heart of central America. The sun was hanging low in the afternoon sky, and Danny was starting to worry. Roxanne hadn't been doing to hot every morning for the last week straight. "H-hey, let's pull over and call it an early day, whad'ya say?" he asked as he signaled to a nearby hotel.

"Unless they have a pool, I'd say you are overreacting." Roxy replied, pulling off her helmet and shaking her red-dyed hair loose as they stopped in the parking lot. "Its just a stomach bug and I've been getting better every day."

He chuckled softly as he checked out a room for them. "I know I'm being a worry-wart, sorry. But this place does have a pool and a soak'll be good for the both of us. C'mon, let's get cleaned up and go swimming." They took their bags into their room and set up, before taking separate showers and getting dressed in their swim gear. He had on a old pair of denim knee-length shorts that had a hole in the left knee. "Alright babe, I'm ready with the sunblock," he said, looking to the bathroom for Roxy to come out in her swimsuit. "I'll get your back."
