Shiro was born in a forbidden forest at the edge of an ancient kingdom. His mother was a water spirit and his father the the god of that forest (how he ended up being a neko, who knows). His mother abandonned him, horrified that her son was a monster. The forest god raised him, never telling him of his flighty mother. Shiro grew up knowing nothing but the forest. He never had a craving for the outside world, for he knew nothing of it.
Until one day...a lone traveler ventured into the forest. He claimed to be a travelling mage, out to explore all corners of the world. Shiro, fascinated, followed the traveller when he left, leaving behind his forest home.
The traveller took Shiro to Fiore, where the traveller was arrested on account of being a wanted thief. As Shiro explored this new world, he got many gawking stares on account of his cat-like features. He never paid these any mind, as he thought it was the norm in this new world. He stumbled into Lamia Scale one day, and after showcasing his skill at making foreign liquor, he became a mage and bartender of Lamia Scale.
