➸ WORK | During work hours, Katherine is a rather fun instructor provided she's not provoked otherwise. She'll respond to sarcasm with sarcasm, and will use wit to subtly humiliate her more disrespectful students and give her other students a laugh. As far as assignments go, she tends to give a two or three day due date to not overwhelm her students. However, Katherine is a "no crap tolerated" person. She will hand out discipline referrals left, right, and center if she must. Bullying is not tolerated, and late homework is an automatic fail without exception. When the situation calls for it, she can and will take control.
➸ PUBLIC | The personality she has during work is vastly different than her public face; a mask she's spent quite a while to master. Outside of work, she's a klutz and is a bit socially awkward. Never knowing what to say right away and stuttering when she's confronted with sudden decisions. However, she's friendly and is a doting mother to her son. Maybe a little too doting, as she does tend to spoil him. However, she's quite fierce when provoked, so don't let her general behavior fool you.

➸ Katherine is the youngest daughter of a wealthy New York couple she lost contact with years ago. She was raised equally with her two older sisters, but expectations for her were naturally low given her place as the youngest. At a young age, Katherine knew surpassing her sisters would be impossible, so she never focused on it. Instead, her extra free time gave her the opportunity to indulge her own personal interests. Most notable interests were photography and baking, and she fell in love with both.
➸ When she was fifteen, she was a very shy girl who had a hard time putting herself out there. When a fellow student at her school confessed to admiring her, she's not afraid to admit she threw herself into it fully. Katherine was genuinely happy someone had even noticed her, and soon fell completely in love with the young man. It was through this relationship that her son was born. Katherine and her lover stayed together and married after high school, but he died in an accident when their son was four. Since then, Katherine had been on her own as a single mother working as a college literature professor to support them both. Recently, she was transferred to a new university in need of a new instructor and she intends to do her best.

Michael is known by his family to "test" men who are interested in Katherine, and tends to cry and lie if he doesn't like them. This is a behavior unknown to Katherine, however.
