Udaka was bored. There was a lot of change happening in the pride - it had been different when she was a cub - but she was didn't really mind it. Everyone was talking about it, worried about it. At least, everyone she had come across. The conversation was one she avoided as much as possible.
She just wanted to have fun! The seriousness, or bitterness in the conversation was scary, and one she would rather not think about. So she didn't! The young lioness wandered, instead. She normally didn't wander very far, but it was a habit she developed when she wasn't sure what to do or where to go.
Perhaps she could seek a conversation? She hummed softly to herself and began her search.

Khanya yawned heavily, sleep sliding away from her slowly like water, clinging to her limbs as a slight heaviness before gradually fading, her senses awakening fully to the bright blue-sky day. Yawning a second time, fangs glinting in the sunlight, Khanya stood, shaking herself roughly to dislodge the dried stalks of chewed grass.
For once she was on her own, her usual accompaniment of pride-sisters missing. Not that Khanya was a particularly social lioness, but as was the way of things, 'birds of a feather flock together', or somesuch, and Khanya usually found several other non-social females gathering near by, a kind of loose friendship based on the desire for silence and solitude but with the added bonus of not actually being alone. After all lions were not loners by nature.
Blinking pale pink eyes the red-coated lioness lifted her head, glancing round. She could hunt... she supposed. She was bigger than most lionesses, thanks to her firekin heritage, and thus generally had more success than other females when they went out alone. But she wasn’t entirely sure if she felt that energetic just yet.. But before she could settle her mind on something she spotted a shape walking towards her over the eaten-down grassland. A pride-sister. Curious and willing to see if the lioness was going to stop and talk, Khanya waited patiently. Pale eyes tracking the female.
Seaki Sorry I slacked on replying to this!
