of course, best is what you think is your best
for me, i have one for each type of gear
hat: pilot goggles- all special duration up
clothes: anchor sweat (gray one with cold blooded)- all damage up (lmao no reroll needed neither)
shoes: plum casuals- all swim speed up

I've got 1 defense up to cancel out people's damage ups and I love ink recovery/saver stats but lately I've been obsessing with getting run speed ups because holy hell they're making me op as ******** far only my cherry kicks have triple run speed up and that was just by unlocking em ó v ó

I have tons of gear with 3x same sub. A few perfect gear with the main ability matching the 3 subs (didn't savescum for them either). One of my favorites is the Hero Headset Replica. Main ability run speed and it has 2x run speed up subs.
