Now that he had Sessrumnir's support behind him, Babylon felt more confident that this could be done. Surely he wouldn't collect the unified support of the entire order, but with enough dissidents, Caedus's plans would falter. He would show the Code that it had Chosen well and that its faith was not misplaced - Babylon was ready to be a leader.
He anticipated Pharos would also be sympathetic to his cause - as a member of the Zodiac, she was bound to protect the solar system from external threats. All Babylon would have to do, hopefully, would be to appeal to her sense of duty, and she would come happily to his side.
He steeled himself for her arrival, calling up his newly-bolstered confidence and straightening his spine. Under a streetlight on a residential street was not the most inconspicuous place to meet, but he'd chosen this place because it was convenient to Pharos - and because they were still far enough from Caedus that Babylon wasn't afraid of being overheard.
Besides, it was late at night. He doubted they'd be spotted.
He looked up and down the street - she couldn't have been far.
