 It wasn’t long before Ruby woke from another dream for another Box search so she turns and quietly reaches a paws down to wake Adenium. After shaking her shoulder a few times she wakes to look around to find it’s still dark and to find Ruby motioning for her to get up and follow her once more. Without hesitation she gets out of her little nest bed while Ruby turns and starts leading the way. This time Ruby doesn’t slow or stop at the spot she had earlier that night so Adenium begins to wonder what’s going on. Once they get to a certain area with paths to choose from Ruby slows to a stop then sits down waits for Adenium to sit next to her. Then reaching a paw up she points to a certain path, “That’s the path I saw in my dream this time which means we have to go in that direction to get to the Box waiting there.” Placing her paw down she waits to see if Adenium has anything to say.

 “Alright, at least this time you have me to help you which is why you woke me up. Since you came to help me I am more than willing to come with you to help this other. Of course with me helping you we’ll be able to get there and back a lot sooner and maybe then we can rest a bit more?” Getting up she waits for Ruby to lead the way once more while she smiles brightly because she considers this her first adventure with her Friend. When Ruby gets up and starts walking Adenium keeps a good enough pace so that her head is parallel to her shoulder not wishing to walk behind her for any reason. All the while she takes in the smells and noises that the night brings. That is until thoughts start to swirl around in her mind causing worry to sink in. With it being as dark as it is you never know what may or may not leap out to scare you. Having just become Friends with Ruby she doesn’t want anything to happen to her making her understand just why Miller is so protective of her.

Before long they get halfway to their destination and Ruby wonders and worries about Adenium since it’s been a while since she said anything. So Ruby looks over her left shoulder to see why Adenium became so quiet since she seems to enjoy talking with her. When she looks at her she quickly realizes that Adenium looks worried for some reason. With a slight bump she causes her to jump aside then catch up with her again, “What were you thinking about that caused you to look so worried? It can’t be all of the smells and sounds because the other times I looked over my shoulder at you it seemed like you were having a nice time. It’s also our first adventure together so that should make you happy, unless something is bothering you?” Slowing to a stop she sits there unwilling to move until her Friend tells her what’s going on and maybe how she can help her?

Slowing to a stop she shakes her head a bit then smiles at Ruby, “I was having a good time until I started worrying about you like Miller must worry about you. Being my first Friend I don’t want anything to happen to you while we are walking around at night.” Slightly blushing she looks down while playfully pawing at the ground, “Of course I should know better seeing as you found me without anything bad happening and now that I am here you won’t have to be fearful of being by yourself in the dark.” Looking at Ruby she smiles, “So let’s get back on this adventure because we have another Friend to find and protect while in their Box and once they have emerged from their Box. Seeing as Friends never let harm come to each other if they can help it. Which means when I drag the two of you on adventures I better pick the locations well and not be reckless. If I’m reckless and one of you tries stopping me they could end up getting hurt or both of us can end of getting hurt and I want neither of those to happen.” Getting up Adenium walks over and hugs Ruby for realizing something was wrong and stopping to talk about it.

Hugging Adenium back she replies, “I’m glad you talk with me about it and it defiantly makes the reason that they are so protective of me so much clearer.” Moving back a bit she smiles, “Not that I didn’t have some sort of idea about why they wish to protect me as often as they can. It just makes it that much clearer which will make it that much worse when we do go on slightly more dangerous adventures because I know we will. I have the feeling that you will talk me into some rather interesting things and I will, to a point, go along with you. While I am sure one of us would try stopping you if you got even a bit reckless. Which means you’ll have to thoroughly think about what you’ll going to do before you decide to do it.” Waving her paw a certain way, “Of course after you thoroughly think about what you’re going to do you’ll have to run it past me or our other Friend so we can thoroughly think it through. If we consider it a good idea of any kind we’ll let you and if not we’ll stop you. So until we do start going on other adventures we’d better finish this adventure in case anything happens and anyone wakes up to check on me.” Getting up she doesn’t wait for her to answer back because she knows that Adenium agrees with everything she said.

 The way she’s smiling and blushing means she knows that Ruby only wants her to be safe like Adenium wants Ruby to be safe. The smile is because she knows Ruby is right to tell her that she needs to thoroughly think things through and then tell them so they can do the same. Seeing as she might not be thinking it trough as thoroughly as she should and really doesn’t want anyone to get hurt because she didn’t think it through thoroughly enough. So following Ruby she lets a calm wash over her since if Ruby is calm then she has no real reason to be worried. By the time they reach the area Ruby sniffs slows to a stop so Adenium sniffs the air to smell what her Friend smells. When she can smell the new scent she follows her nose to it just like Ruby is doing. It doesn’t take long before they find a rather interesting Box which appears to have purple and red flames coming off of the top. Looking at each other she asks, “Ruby, I know that my Peach isn’t very natural, though, how much more un-natural are purple and red flames?” Her gaze goes back to the Box wondering just what sort of Friend is waiting inside.

Walking around the Box a few times she stops and shrugs, “I’m thinking a lot less un-natural than a Peach on you head which makes me wonder what the next Box will look like. Since I know that this Box won’t be the last Box that we find and help by any chance. Though, with it having flames on it I think it’d be best to take the Box home as quickly as possible in case it rains.” Then looking around a bit she wonders before she walks away to get a leaf and two vines. “Here’s my plan, we tie each end of our vine to the steam and then pull the Box back home. We’ll have to be a foot or so away from each other because walking side by side it’s a good idea. If we rub against each other it’ll start as slightly bothersome and become painful after a while. Which means that if my plan doesn’t work then I will be more then willing to hear any sort of idea that you might have.” She hands the other vine to Adenium while she ties her vine to the steam.

Once Ruby finishes tying her vine Adenium ties her vine and then they turn and pull the vine up to their shoulders. Then they start pulling which is a lot easier with both of them pulling so she smiles, “Seems that you have really good ideas which only makes me that much more eager to go on adventures. Seeing as with you and your great ideas and loving nature combined with my adventurous spirit/nature I am sure that we can face just about anything together. Which means I can’t wait till we meet this Friend to learn what they will bring to our little group. With another one in our group I’m sure Miller will be more likely to let us explore. Since the more the merrier while with a small group we will feel that much safer together.” By the time they get back on the path she realizes that Ruby hasn’t answered back and when she looks over she sees her brightly smiling. Probably thinking about all the amazing things they will do together now that they have each other. Making their group safer will put everyone’s mind at ease and let Ruby go that much further away from her home.

When they get close enough to see the tree Ruby has to keep herself from bolting to it so that they can safely place the Box inside. That way they can curl up and get ready for bed since it really has been a long and interesting night for both of them. Of course she doesn’t remember at that moment that the Box will have to be hidden for the time being. The only place she has hidden a Box successfully is the hole that Adenium had claimed as her own little nest bed. Once they get inside they take the vines off so that they can move the Box off the leaf and place it into the hole. Which causes Ruby to remember that Adenium is using the hole so she looks over at her. Giving her a sympathetic smile and shrug she whispers, “Sorry about your nest bed, though it’s the only place I can think of to place this Box for the time being. You wouldn’t mind making a nest bed up here would you? If not I am sure we could dig another hole out for you to sleep in if that’s what you want?” Seeing as she doesn’t want to just toss her out of the hole without offering to help her with another hole that she could call her own.

Sweetly smiling she shakes her head a bit then quietly jumps into the hole to take her bedding out to make room for the Box. Once she finishes with that she helps Ruby to gently place the Box into the hole and cover it up with leaves. Afterwards they walk over to the bedding and they build a nest bed which Ruby thinks is for Adenium. Turning towards Ruby she smiles, “Here, I’m fine with sleeping on the leaves since we have all day tomorrow to collect more bedding. It’s because it is actually your bedding and you were more than willing to sleep on the leaves to make me feel comfortable.” With a yawn and stretch she replies, “Anyways, I’m sure the leaves are much more comfortable then they appear to be. As well as if you hadn’t found me I would have been sleeping on the ground out in the open if I hadn’t found a shelter of sorts by the time night came around.”

Not wishing to hurt Adenium’s feeling by turning the offer down she just comes up with a better one. “How about we both sleep on the bedding, if I fix it a bit more there will be just enough room for us to lay next to each other. That way neither of us has to sleep on the leaves because we both need a good night’s sleep. Once tomorrow comes I am sure we will have a lot of explaining to do since you are new around here. Everyone will want to meet you and get to know you. You have been part of this Family ever since I brought you here so everyone will want to meet you. After everyone has been introduced we can explain just what happened and then we can reveal our newest Friend to them. Which is also part of this Family so once they emerge we can introduce them to the rest of them. Yet, if they come out of their Box sooner than we think then we can introduce ourselves while trying not to wake my Father up.” Since Adenium looks too tired to talk anymore they fix the bedding and then lay down to fall into a deep and dreamless sleep.

 Waking in the middle of the night, the beginning of April the nineteenth, Adenium wakes when she hears a small noise coming from the Box. Getting up Adenium accidentally wakes Ruby even though their bed twice the size that is was before they still like leaning against each other. It makes them feel even more like Sisters then Friends which is fine with them. They’ve only had about a day to bound, though, that bond grew rather quickly. Since she woke Ruby they both walk over to see what’s going on since it’s coming from the Box. Like Ruby said, it might come out sooner than they think and that’s probably wants happening now. Adenium moves the leaves aside and then she reaches out to help open the like Ruby had done with her not all that long ago. Once they can both see the sweet looking creature inside they smile while quietly welcoming her. Helping her out they walk her over to the bedding where she curls up while looking up at them with her large light blue irises which are slightly lighter than Ruby’s. Sitting down she whispers, “I’m Adenium and named after a flower since I like the sound of the name and I like the flower itself.” She points up at her head while she explains her middle name, “While my middle name is Peach since I have this Peach on my head.” Placing her paw back down, “And my last name is Sabi Star which means Desert-Rose which I heard is rather pretty.”

Just as quietly she whispers, “My name is Alora, I’m not sure if it’s a flower or not though I guess it could be? I think it sounds rather interesting and I’ve heard it a few times before. Of course I’m not sure who said it because it feels like I heard it a long time ago. The only thing I do know is it wasn’t either of you because I only heard your voice tonight. Which means it must have been someone else like my Family or whoever was watching over me.” Looking at the bed then at Adenium she asks, “Whose bed is this? Do you think they will mind that I’ll be sleeping on it? I wouldn’t wish to upset them in any way and hope that it’s alright.” Alora goes to uncurl to get up when Ruby walks closer to the bed before Alora can do anything else. She reaches over and places a paws on her shoulder causing her to become startled and back up a bit. She replies rather frightened with large scared eyes, “Who are you? Is this your bed? Do you mind that I’ll be sleeping here?”

Blushing she shakes her head no a bit while she smiles realizing that she seems rather spoft spoek and shy. She whispers while trying to calm her down, “Alora, you are part of this little Family that we have here so there is no need to become fearful of any of us. This bed was once mine and now I share it with Adenium here which means we’ll share it with you. Adenium would never lead you astray or help you towards a dangerous situation so you can trust her. You can also trust me because I would also never lead to astray or help you into a dangerous situation. Of course you probably want to know what my name is so you have something to call me? My title is Lady, first name is Ruby, middle name is Amethyst, and last name is Heart.” Pondering the name Alora she wonders if it is a name of a flower because it does sound slightly familiar to her. Looking at Alora she says, “It could be the name of a flower, though, either way it’s a cute name. So now that we have been introduced to each other I suggest that we sleep a bit longer. When we get up later we can introduce you to everyone else that lives in this area that we consider Family” That seemed to have calmed her down enough so Adenium and Ruby find a nice spot on either side of Alora. Of course they wait for her to fall asleep before they let themselves go back to sleep.
