At Large
Prompt 1

Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend)
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7

It was bound to happen eventually.

With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.

And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.

With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....

|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.

|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.

This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)

xxxxxStage 4 must roll 40-100 to successfully subdue the beast.

|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!

|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

It had been some time since Gyuri had to stand off against anything that was really note worthy. There were some drunks here and there, those that got too rowdy for their own good, but those men never meant any real harm. They seemed to learn their lessons once he set to looming over them, but when it came to a real battle, one filled with danger, it had been a while. Today was different though, there was a monster roaming about, like nothing that he'd ever seen before, and from what Makani said about his own run with it the creature wasn't like anything that he'd ever felt before. It didn't belong in Sauti, nor anywhere else that the group of them had ever been.

One of those things that made Gyuri feel as though the beast was one from the southern island of Yael. The rumors about escaped beasts roaming around between Yael and Zena, those that their captors couldn't handle, had reached the inn a while ago via word of mouth. Gyuri had hoped that none of them would come to the inn since they sounded a bit too dangerous for his liking. Now that he saw the beast he couldn't help but to wonder what the smugglers were thinking. It was far too dangerous to bring something like that here, so why bother? Was a profit really that important? So much so that not only the merchant but all those around him would be put in danger? If he found the one that brought the monster so close to the inn he would knock their heads clean ff their shoulders... at least once he was done dealing with the monster.

He knew that battling with such a large beast wasn't the best idea he'd ever had but better that he was the one that drove it off instead of it finding Eira or Borra. The two of them were too soft and defenseless to deal with a monster like this one. That thought in mind Gyuri moved forward, cracking his knuckles as he did so, scooping up some rocks as he went. He'd deal with the beast and be back before things starting to get busy he thought to himself.

The beast that he found himself facing off with, a Limbara if he recalled correctly, was quite powerful, as well as armored. It was quite on edge as well, stuck in some foreign land that it didn't understand. The skittishness that it was overwhelmed by helped though, allowing him to more easily deal with it, whipping the rocks at it, roaring at it in what he hoped would be an intimidating manner, and was able to drive it back away from the inn. A temporary fix, but he'd stay on his guard, to make sure that it didn't dare come back or next time he'd have to finish it off. He might not have a killer instinct normally, but like with the Ghost of the Mountain from so long ago he would do what needed to be done if it meant protecting others.
