At Large Prompt 1
Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend) Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7
It was bound to happen eventually.
With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.
And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.
With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....
|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.
|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.
This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)
xxxxxStage 4 must roll 30-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!
|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

Chalcedony was glad that Aysun wasn't nearby when he was battling against the serpent that had gotten too close to where his younger sisters were living at the moment. He'd stepped between the snake and the pair of them, despite the twins claiming that they could 'take care of it' and put his shield in front of the snake. The creature puffed up, hissing at Chal, and then it struck... only to sort of knock itself senseless against his shield. It was a sight that had his eyes going a bit wide before he winced, "Oops." That wasn't something that would have sat well with his son, especially the way that creature seemed to wobble around before sliding off the branch that it was sitting on, falling to a branch down before, fell off that one, and then landed on a further down branch where it lay there still. He glanced toward the twins who were teasing him.
"Oooooo! You killed it, Chal! Our cute little nephew is going to be sooo made!" Reva said in a sing song voice. Something that made Chalcedony go rather wide eyed before he looked down at the creature that was laying there a few branches down, looking still.
"Yeah, he's not gonna be happy knowing you let the thing smash its face like that. Especially since its such a rare beast." Vera added, which made him wince a bit more. The twins teasing him was something that he should be used to but when one drew his sons into the mix was a good way to throw him off kilter.
He shook his head before he set his shield aside, making his way slowly down toward where the snake was laying. Best that he made sure that the thing was still alive and from there he could bring it somewhere to get it looked at. While he had zero interest in the creature itself he didn't really want his son thinking that he just smashed a snake to death for no reason. Best that he made sure that wasn't the case. After reaching where the unconscious serpent was laying he poked at it a couple times, scooped it up, and tucked it into his pack, "I'm going to give this to a beast tamer that I have seen around. I am sure she can see to it that its healed up and taken care of." He called up to his sisters who were hovering over head watching him.
He'd see to it that it was taken care of correctly but he wasn't about to give it to Aysun. As much as he loved his son he was certain that Keilana might strangle him if he gave their son more pets then he already had. Aysun already had himself a zoo, so he supposed that one more really wouldn't matter at this point, but it was the principle of the thing. Better to keep their hammer wielding mother happy he thought to himself as he started toward where he knew the beast tamer woman to leave. He'd drop off the serpent before Aysun knew he had it and then he wouldn't have to worry about the boy trying to talk him out of it.
