At Large Prompt 1
Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend) Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7
It was bound to happen eventually.
With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.
And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.
With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....
|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.
|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.
This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)
xxxxxPrentice must roll 60-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!
|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

He'd done it! He'd actually won a 'fight' against a strange creature that he'd run into in the woods, without needing the help of his sisters or his friends. It was something that he hadn't done before, normally running away as fast as he could to avoid having to deal with such a thing. Now, if he were to be honest, he would have much rather run away as fast as his feet would carry him but he hadn't had a choice in the matter where fighting was involved. Instead he had to stand up to the big, flashy reptile because he was following along after Bruin, seeming to be intent upon eating the poor baby kinfa! Bruin was a grump at times, often fluffing up and squawking at those he didn't like, but Jerami loved the bird! As such he'd armed himself with a stick, as well as some rocks that he scooped up, and ran to the aid of his little birdy.
The rocks he threw for the most part seemed to miss, something that told the boy that he maybe ranged weapons weren't for him, but he still had his stick. He didn't want to kill the snake, it wasn't the creature's fault that it was hungry, but he did want to chase it off. As such he'd been quick to scoop Bruin up in one arm and swung the stick at the snake with the other, as well as kicked dirt in the direction of the serpent. His 'attacks' if one could call them that seemed to do little more then make the snake puff up, hiss, and rattle its tail at him though, something that terrified Jerami quite a bit. It was the moment where he wanted nothing more then for his mother to come rushing in to beat the snake into submission with her bare hands, something he knew she could do, but it wasn't happening. He supposed that he couldn't hope that she could appear to fight all of his battles, huh?
As such he started to swing the stick harder at the creature, actually hitting it a couple of times, which seemed to actually get its attention more then the misses had. It caused it to hiss more, barring its fangs at him, before it decided against the fight. Turning on its tail to flee. Jerami didn't even try to follow, instead picking up a couple rocks to throw after it, hoping that would dissuade it from returning later to attempt to eat Bruin again.
Once the snake was gone and didn't seem to be coming back Jerami hugged Bruin tightly to his chest, nuzzling against the kinfa's soft feathers, "It's alright now, Bruin, the mean snake is gone and won't try to eat you again!" He declared, snuggling him for as long as he could get away with before the bird set to struggling in his grasp for freedom. Giving a laugh Jerami set the bird down, "Sorry, sorry... I know you don't like being hugged that tightly." The bird wasn't the cuddly sort so it was best to put him down before he ended up in a bad mood, "Come on, let's go back home." He wasn't sure about the kinfa but he was eager to get back to where his sisters and mothers were, feeling that he'd feel safer there near to them. He'd done his best to be brave for Bruin but now that everything was safe and sound Jerami couldn't help but to shake a little as he made his way home.
