At Large
Prompt 1

Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend)
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7

It was bound to happen eventually.

With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.

And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.

With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....

|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.

|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.

This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)

xxxxxStage 2 must roll 50-100 to successfully subdue the beast.

|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!

|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

Bisera's eyes went quite wide as he spotted something rather pretty glittering not to far away from where he was sitting at the moment. He was supposed to be working on some designs, getting them down on paper and out of his head, while waiting for Xarnith to get back. That was what he was supposed to be doing... and yet now he wanted to go get that sparkly thing. Surely Xarnith wouldn't notice that Bisera was even gone if he was quick about it, right? A smile appearing on his lips he set his sketch journal aside, pushed to his feet, and walked over toward the sparkle. It was quite a good size, wasn't it? That meant that he would be able to make something pretty interesting out of the abundant materials. In fact he should be able to make a few things! The color was a nice, a nice burnt orange, which would make a fine addition to some jewelry he thought to himself.

As he got close the jeweler leaned over, hand reaching out to pick up the shiny thing... when it suddenly moved. It was so startling that Bisera couldn't even cry out. Instead he just made a sort of choking sound, stumbling back a couple steps, and watched as the 'crystal' turned around the stare at him, its tail ratting like crazy. What... what was that? Some sort of strange cousin to the sailscales from back home? They must be a Tale thing... but a rare one, it wasn't as though he'd ever seen one before and he'd been traveling for a while with Xarnith. It was really pretty no matter what it was, huh? Even if it was a bit on the grouchy side the lines of the creature were lovely, as were the various crystal decorations that it seemed to be decorated in.

"You're really lovely." Bisera said, shifting so that he was sitting down in front of the serpent, retrieved his journal from his pack, and turned to the next page, "If you could hold still for me?" He requested before he set about sketching the creature that was coiled up there before him. His reaction to the beast, which was to work on sketching it, seemed to if anything confuse the creature. It hissed at him... but got no reaction, shook its tail, but the same thing happened, which caused the fight to leave the creature. It coiled up, starring at Bisera and Bisera worked on his sketch. He was just getting done with the beast seemed to bore of being a model, turning around and slithered away from him.

Blinking a couple times before giving a little pout Bisera called after the strange, glittering serpent, "Aww... you didn't have to go!" It was a shame that he couldn't show the weird beast to Xarnith, his friend might have liked it. At least, if nothing else, he could show him the sketch! A sketch that he meant to use in his designs since the creature was so beautiful and flowy, making it appear like an extra large piece of jewelry! Pushing to his feet he hurried back to where he was supposed to be waiting for Xarnith, hoping he returned soon to see the sketch.
