At Large Prompt 1
Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend) Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7
It was bound to happen eventually.
With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.
And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.
With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....
|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.
|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.
This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)
xxxxxStage 2 must roll 50-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!
|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

Aysun found himself starring, his entire body having gone stock still, as he ran across a beast that he'd never seen before. In all his years of traveling around in Jauhar and Tale both he'd never seen the beast meaning that he really had no idea where it had come from. He didn't really spend enough time around people, save for his family, to really know that a bunch of foreign beasts had escaped into Jauhar. All he knew for certain was that it was new, it was beautiful, and that he had to have it! He blinked a couple times, seeming to recall that he could in fact move, but he wasn't quick to do so. Instead he moved toward the serpent slowly, so as not to scare it off.
"You're really pretty, aren't you? Like nothing I've ever seen before." The closest that he could compare it to was a sailscale but sailscales had too many limbs to be too close a relative. No, this was something else, something amazing, and he couldn't help but to stare. How did it get around without limbs? If not for the fact that it was on land he might think that it moved the same as a fish... and yet even fish had more limbs then these guys did. Once he got close he reached out to give the creature a poke, something that drew a bit of a hiss from it, and made it rattle the decoration on the end of its tail. Aysun's eyes went wide and he laughed, "Well now, that's a neat feature that you have there, buddy." He told the snake, his tone one that showed he was impressed. It was a warning, Aysun knew that, but the creature didn't seem all that aggressive. If anything it seemed pretty mellow, it just didn't like being poked at.
Settling down next to the rock Aysun gave a smile, "You know you really should come home with me and the rest of my friend. I am sure we have something tasty there that you can eat... well, that or I can get you something. What do you guys eat? Fish maybe? Or rodents? I am sure I could get either one for you." He told the snake, getting another hiss in response. One that he took as a go ahead, causing him to get to his feet, "You wait here!" With that he was rushing off to find something to offer the pretty, glittering serpent.
A while later, and much to his delight, when he returned Aysun found the snake was still there sunning itself in the beam of sun that was coming through the thick canopy. He walked over to the snake and dangled a small, now dead, rodent front of it by the tail. The thing swung back and forth a total of three times before the serpent had snapped it up, gulping it down as though it were nothing. Aysun couldn't help but laugh, "Wow! You're really fast!" He praised the creature, getting another rodent out, offering it up as well. The first two, and another after that, and it seemed as though he'd won the creature over. It was something that put him into quite a good mood as he scooped the creature up, letting it drape itself over his shoulders, before he headed back to where he'd left the others.
"Time for you to meet the rest of the zoo... and time for me to figure out a good name for you." Always the hardest parts of getting any new pet if you asked Aysun. Here was to hoping that they all got along and he thought of a good name for the glittering beast.
