At Large
Prompt 1

Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend)
Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7

It was bound to happen eventually.

With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.

And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.

With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....

|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.

|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.

This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)

xxxxxStage 2 must roll 50-100 to successfully subdue the beast..

|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!

|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

Huh, that was an interesting sort of beast, and not one that he'd seen before today. It didn't really seem as though it were from Jauhar if he compared it to all of the other creatures that he'd run across until this point. Sure, there was always the possibility that it was a new species, but it didn't seem likely. If it was new the air would have been a buzz about the creature. It was an anomaly... and anomalies like that were worth money. A smile spread across Bushi's face at the idea of getting his hands on something like that. Yes, he was certain that he would be able to make a pretty penny off such a rare beast and that was what he meant to do.

"Aatos, look after Profit for me." He said, digging around in the packs on the bushi's back to find the net he was looking for, before hurrying off after the glittering beast. It was a decent size but he felt that he should be able to fit it in one of the baskets that Aatos was carrying around on his back. Once it was in the basket he'd see about bringing it to the market place where he could sell it off to a beast tamer as a pet. If he knew anything it was that beast tamers always loved to have the newest, strangest, rarest things that they could get their hands on. They wanted beasts that were special so that they could flaunt them in front of other beast tamers. Well, he supposed that the flaunting part might be an Oban thing, but the desire for rare beasts was certainly a beast tamer thing. He was sure he could find one in the market place in Ast that would pay good money for the glittering serpent.

The pace that he set for himself was one that was quicker then what he normally used, not really a fan of running about without reason, but it allowed him to catch up quickly enough. As he got too close the serpent whirled around on him, giving a great hiss, its tail rattling. It was yet another interesting feature that the serpent had, something that made him smile from ear to ear before he tossed the net over the creature. There was a lot of flailing from the strange snake but that seemed to only get it more and more tangled in the net. After a time it finally gave in, hissing its displeasure at Bushi.

"There we go! That wasn't so hard. I don't know what all those beast tamers are always going on about." He'd done just fine gathering various creatures after all. Surely some of them had to just be making a fuss about nothing at all. Walking back to where he'd left the other two he carefully removed the serpent from the net, though only after catching it behind the head so it wouldn't bite him, and transferred it to the basket. Likely exhausted from all the flailing about it had done the serpent coiled up and soon settled down in the basket. Bushi put the cover on the basket, patting the top of it, and made his way toward the market place. Time to sell the weird snake he'd found and make some coin!

(( Word Count: 553 ))

(( He's not keeping it long. I got an okay from the staff for him to sell it off in the other WE Prompt <3 ))
