At Large Prompt 1
Can be used toward Battle req (or RP req only if done with a friend) Solo word minimum is 500, RP post minimum is 7
It was bound to happen eventually.
With rumors of great beasts roaming the shores of Yael, many mainlanders flocked across the sea to capture the exotic beasts. In no time at all, they returned with large scaled monsters, dangerously translucent serpents, and turtles that carried the earth. These traders traveled across the Mainland to parade the beasts, going from Matori to Zena and everywhere between. Soon enough, everyone had either seen the Yaeli beasts or at least heard of them.
And they were sure to hear about the beasts when they escaped.
With such little knowledge of the foreign creatures, the traders underestimated the animals. In no time at all, the Yaeli beasts escaped into the wilderness and ended up near your location. With new creatures all but knocking on your door, what do you do? Do you dare to try and tame them, or do you run them off back into the wilderness? You better hurry, because these creatures are lost and scared, and are sure to cause some damage before they are captured once more....
|| The Yaeli familiars have been spotted in the following locations: Tintural (Oba and Matori), Keldari (Jauhar/Chibale and Tale), Limbara (Sauti and Zena). Only individuals in set locations can encounter the specific familiars.
|| If you are located in Yael, respond to this prompt as if you witnessing a mainlander abducting one of the newly announced familiars. Do you step in or run away? Use the same rolls below, but instead of subduing the beast, you are rolling to test your success for freeing it.
This prompt will be resolved by each player rolling 1D100 to test their success. (You can only roll once - there are no reattempts!)
xxxxxStage 2 must roll 50-100 to successfully subdue the beast.
|| Success or fail, completion of this event rewards you with 15 EXP!
|| If you roll a 95-100, you get to keep the familiar! Congrats!

The news of various creatures having escaped from various sellers had reached Incanthis's ears, making him wonder if perhaps the beasts were actually better off having escaped. He knew that someone like Abie took good care of his pets but what about your average seller of rare animals? Did they take good care of them? Did they feed them right? Were they just trying to make a quick profit off of such creatures with no regard to their well being? It was the sort of question that made him twitch a bit just thinking about it. The poor things, the last thing that he wanted was to think that they might be hurt or starving! Of course even as he thought those words he was suddenly being pulled along by someone who knew of his powers, a neighbor to where he lived currently, and he found himself face to face with something that the youngling, and his various friends, called a tintural.
The creature looked a bit on the beat up side, making him wonder if the it were in fact the sellers that had done such a thing to the poor creature. If that were the case someone, though not Incanthis himself, should give them a stern talking to! Much to his surprise though it seemed that it wasn't the buyer in this case. The younglings said that it had gotten bitten by a young janarim that belong to someone in the area, but they had thrown rocks at the creature to chase it away. After that they had come to Incanthis for help, needing a healer to the tend to the bites. After giving the surprising calm creature a once over he found that most of the bites were to the shell and while damaged it was unlikely that the creature even noticed that it had gotten chewed on. Now the bite on its back leg was another matter entirely.
"I am going to see about healing its leg, you see about keeping it calm." He told the little ones as he took out his beads from his pack, holding them in his hands as he started to cast a simple healing spell. It didn't take much in the way on of concentration, and soon enough the wounds on the tinturl's leg had closed up, "It might still be a little weak from the blood loss so it will need to rest up and eat." He told the group of younglings. Instantly a few of them scattered, returning a short time later with various sorts of scraps from fruits, vegetables, and bits of meat, laying it all out in front of the turtle to see what it wanted. It didn't take much to tell that the creature was going to be well taken care of by the group, which was a good thing. It needed someone to take care of it instead of just taking advantage of it for profit.
Giving the group a smile he said, "If anyone bothers you about it, telling you that it belongs to them then... ahh... I will... talk to them..." He wasn't too certain of the idea but surely he could buy the thing off the seller for the kids? Provided it wasn't too much money. Here was to hoping the situation never came up and the little ones could play to their heart's content with their new friend.
