Issun should be back any day now. Amaterasu's raccoon envoy left to go spread his stories and collect the reports from the other members of the Order, and was due to return in two weeks time. Tomorrow is when he's officially due to arrive, but occasionally there's a give or take of a day or two and Amaterasu wanted to be certain she was at their agreed upon meeting spot when he returned. It certainly helped that there were delicious clover blossoms in the field, only just starting to bloom. She nibbled on some now while she grazed, nosing around in the dew glazed grass. She felt... content, for the first time in a very long time. She had three beautiful daughters, one of which who decided to join the Order too, in addition to several grandchildren who were all grown. She was proud of the family she created. She'd hoped to settle down with a life mate before actually having children, but after her first pregnancy, she found it difficult to trust anyone enough for that. She was glad she and Rushil were still friends, at least, and their children turned out just fine. Her daughter Ukiyo-e had even settled down with a fine flutter stallion.
A noise to her left startled her back to the present time. She raised her head, on alert as she scanned the field to find the source. When she spotted the unicorn that had joined her on the field, Amaterasu breathed out a sigh of relief and relaxed. It was a shame it wasn't Issun, but at least it was nothing dangerous. She couldn't help but smile as she watched the dark unicorn prance around the field, playing in the tall grass and chasing butterflies. She seemed so innocent, and Amaterasu was reluctant to interrupt her play, but she didn't want her presence to startle the mare. "Hello!" she called out in greeting, bowing her head when the other mare looked her way.
