Terry had just finished up classes for the day and had moved off to a nicely shaded part of the campus so he could power up into Erebus. When he wasn't gathering his own energy into the crystal or spending time with Seung he had taken to patrolling a bit more frequently so he could get used to being a Squire faster. Since no one knew when Caedus would be ready for the portals he wasn't taking any chances in not being ready for the attack. All it would take would be one mistake and someone could get hurt of killed. This however wasn't on his mind at the moment as he was powering up, instead he was mentally going over the routes he was going to take this time around.The shaded area he had picked was close to the edge of campus and other buildings were near by so he knew his starting point he just hadn't decided on the direction just yet.

Newgrange was surprised when an energy signature suddenly appeared, very near to him. He had been paying attention (though knew he was guilty of occasionally zoning out), but the sheer suddenness was a bit jolting.
Slowly, he looked around. "…Hello?" he called out a few seconds later. The area was shady enough that it did not give him a clear look, but he was certain he'd caught movement—and, considering it certainly felt like the energy signature of a Knight (and one near to his own rank), he was eager to seek it out.
Newgrange liked to meet new faces—especially when he was drowning in his own thoughts. Right now, he could have really benefited from a distraction; he could only hope he didn't seem too eager in seeking one out

Erebus had been just as surprised at the sudden appearance of the other Knight's signature, having not been able to feel it until he had powered up as usual. When he heard the almost startled sounding hello he dismissed his weapon and decided to meet the other. He was pretty sure it was no one he had met before personally since his voice didn't sound familiar. "Hello, sorry if I startled you." He said as he walked in the direction of the voice and signature. It wasn't long to get around the flora to find the other Squire and he gave a small smile. "I'm Erebus of Saturn." He introduced himself.

Newgrange seemed a little relieved to have a face to the energy signature he'd picked up; he smiled and extended a hand. "No, it's okay. You didn't startle me, I just wasn't quite paying attention and felt an energy signature. I was worried I was losing my touch," he laughed.
He extended a hand to Erebus. "I'm Newgrange, of Earth. It's a pleasure to meet you. I feel like I don't see hardly any Knights running around anymore, I was starting to worry everyone got called off for some other job and left me behind."

Erebus gave a nod as he took the other Knight's hand in greeting. "I see, well don't worry about that, the only reason you didn't feel me was because I just powered up. Sorry about that." He said with a chuckle. "Pleasure to meet you as well." He gave a thoughtful hum as he thought about whether he had seen of felt a lot of Knight recently before responding. "Maybe they are just patrolling other area's of the city or at different times? I admit I've only run into a handful myself, including you, in the past few months."

"Really?" Newgrange seemed surprised and reached a hand up to scratch at his chin. He looked up to the sky, as though the answer to such a question could be so easily spelled out in the stars, but he shrugged and managed to bring his gaze back to Erebus. "That's a bit concerning. I've been trying to be good—going out a few times a week. Just seems like no one's ever out. Well."
He paused, and then corrected, "No one good is ever out. There always seem to be some sort of trouble lurking. But it's good to meet you," he smiled, but a thought apparently crossed his mind because he was jumping to another topic. "—Hey, have you, by chance, been to your Wonder at all, recently? I don't know what's the same for Wonders and what's different between them, but I've just got this list of questions that keeps building up, and I don't know who to go to with them."

"Huh." Erebus frowned and furrowed his brow. He had just assumed that others were patrolling different areas for the most part just like he told the other Knight, but if the other wasn't finding anyone either he wasn't sure what was up. "I know I've seen many at meetings I had gone to but beyond that I'm not sure why we aren't running into more then." It might be something to look into later then. "I admit, I've only run into a handful of Chaos agents myself." At the change of subject, Erebus gave a nod and a smile. "I have gone fairly recently yes. What sort of questions do you have?" He asked. He had no problem with answering questions and possibly swapping stories of Wonders.

Newgrange nodded. "I see most of the other Knights at meetings. Mostly when Olympus is involved. I don't know if they're running meetings down here on Earth or elsewhere, but…"
He reached down to twist at the signet ring he was wearing. "…I'd think if they were going to do things like that, we'd hear about it." He was partly trying to buy for time, but he finally just sighed and drew his attention away from the ring.
"Most, I can't figure my wonder out. There's a guy there, who thinks he's still supposed to be protecting Newgrange. Which—I get. Except, he's not exactly the most friendly or accommodating person and told me I was unnecessary. So I don't know…if it's possible that there was some mistake with putting Newgrange under my protection. Do you have someone at your Wonder, or…?"

"That's typically how I see them as well." Erebus agreed with a nod of his own. "I haven't heard of any meetings down here, so if there are it's probably between groups of friends." Unless they just didn't have the names of everyone who were powered and couldn't get a hold of them somehow but he doubted that was the case. After all it would have been mentioned at the Olympus meetings and they would have tried to collect contact info, even if it was just Knight names in order to send ring messages. At least he assumed they would do that. "Oh!" He paused when the other Knight mentioned his Wonder and the man already there then gave a smile. "That person is your ancestor. I'm sorry he's not very friendly but it wasn't a mistake that you became Newgrange at all." He reassured. He didn't have any experience with ancestor's himself though so he wasn't sure how to help the other in getting the Newgrange of the past to help and accept him. "No I don't. If you are a descendant, like you are, then ghost of your ancestor will be there as your link to the past, but if you are a reincarnation like me then you get pieces of memory of the past instead." Newgrange seemed pensive, and while he knew some of what Erebus had said, some of it made him wonder where all these new knights were getting their information. He'd been at this for so long and still felt like he was learning something new.
Of course, if he'd known everything, he figured he wouldn’t be having such an issue with the man back at his wonder.
He nodded, somewhat absentmindedly. "What I mean," he said after a moment, "Is that—descendent or not," (though it was a strange thought), "He seems intent on guarding that place by himself. Like he didn't want me there. Though," he glanced down at the ring he now wore.
"…He was willing to part with this, but demanded I leave. He was insistent that he was the only one that should guard my wonder. And I'm afraid I have no idea how to appease him. It's not that I mind him being there, but…it's my wonder. I'd like to get to know it a little better. Instead, every time I visit, he's chasing me out."

Erebus frowned and pondered over the problem that the other Knight had. "I'm honestly not sure myself. I don't have to deal with anyone at my Wonder, anyone else there are people I bring." It might be that Newgrange will have to find a few descendant Knight's to talk to about the problem. "Have you asked him how he expects to be able to protect your Wonder as a ghost? I wouldn't think that he would be able to defend anything that way and you might have to point that out to him for him to see it." He asked after a moment. "You're best bet for advice on this would be either to find another descendant Knight to talk to or to look in the database to see if anyone might have shared their experiences."

"No," Newgrange confessed. "To be quite honest, he said he wanted me gone, so I left. I figured I would come back, but I didn't want to do so if I didn't have a way to earn his favor. But I suppose I just don't want conflict. If he is the old protector of Newgrange, then…I mean," he shrugged and sighed.
"He's got all the answers I don't have. And I don't want to wind up on a bad foot and lose the opportunity to learn about my Wonder's past—or his. But it's hard to find out what you bring a ghost. I'd bring him cupcakes if I knew he'd eat them," he mumbled, reaching to scratch his chin before sighing.
"…But checking the database is a good idea, I'll have to see if I can find someone who has more experience or progressed better with their ancestor. Thank you, Erebus."
He smiled, but faltered and quickly insisted, "Oh, I didn't mean to take up so much of your time! I'm sure you've got your patrol to do, and I should get back to mine. But it was nice meeting you. I hope we bump into each other again. And hopefully I'll have some good news to relay," he added, laughing softly.

"Well he is technically your family on top of being the protector of your Wonder so I can't blame you for not wanting any conflict there." Erebus said with a nod. If he had to meet his own ancestor he wasn't sure how she would react, since he only had very small pieces of memory and nothing was concrete about her personality, and even if he had it was very likely that the two different people would have different reactions and ways to appease them. "No problem, sorry I couldn't be more help besides pointing you in a different direction." He gave a sheepish smile and a shrug. Hopefully Newgrange would be able to find someone who could help him with this soon. He then blinked in surprise as the other Knight pointed out the time. "It's fine, you have questions and I don't mind taking time to answer any." The Saturn Knight said with a smile but did nod when it was said they should get back to their patrols. "I hope so too, good luck with your ancestor problem. Have a good patrol."

Newgrange had a strange, foreign sensation pulse through him when Erebus referred to him as family; he had to stop and think about that. Still, he nodded. "You helped," he assured, offering a smile. "And thank you, for the luck. I feel as though I'll need it. You have a good patrol, too. I'll see you around."
He raised a hand to wave, but he had enough on his mind that he knew he couldn't linger—or he'd keep Erebus for some lengthy, obnoxious time with all his questions and thoughts. He wanted to stay and talk, but he knew he couldn't indulge. Not now, not when he had so much left to do. After the wave, he turned in the direction he came from and left.
He could only hope that the next time they met, he had good news to relay.
