It irked her, having an empty hive. She would have to fix that. As Chiara got up and admired her trophies, an arm band stolen from a drugged orangeblood, a locked with a drop of a redblood's blood, and her favorite, a purple ribbon pulled while an intimate moment was shared. It was nice, but she wanted more. The ribbon reminded her of another ribbon-ed troll. Wouldn't that hair accessory look nice tied around Chiara's waist? Or maybe it would work as a makeshift belt. Options. Chiara had Elidae on her mind since the yellowblood showed her alliance to that horrible seadweller Lorata. There had to be a way to take advantage of the situation, and maybe score a trophy at the same time. The blueblood pondered a plan as she walked the halls of her hive.

Chiara stood outside a hive complex in New Hemisect City. She leaned against the wall of the building, making her presence hard to miss for anyone who came in or out of the building. Her prey would come. She had to. Chiara's prey had a timetable to keep, and a hair salon to be at. It was only a matter of time before she had to walk by the blueblood.

With the coming of a new night, Elidae rushed out of her hive complex in a whirl, a tote slung over her shoulder. "Late, late, late!" She cried as she turned out of of the city sidewalk, ready to weave her way clumsily through the trolls littering the walkway. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed a familiar presence. She did a double take. Leaning against the wall as cool as her blood hue stood Chiara Moteku, looking sharp and predatory as ever. A pit in her bilesack dropped.

Gradually, her pace slowed to a stop and she nervously fiddled with the strap of her bag. It was too late, wasn't it? Elidae knew she wouldn't be able to walk by Chiara without being noticed. Perhaps she could... walk to the other side of the street? Maybe turn around and take the long way? The idea seemed golden enough until it dawned on her that she was practically late as it were and couldn't afford to lose more time; a scolding from her boss frightened her more than a quick hello to a... fri... friend?

The notion of being friends with Chiara seemed both right and wrong, considering she still felt like the blueblood was good company and Elidae adored most highbloods, but her defiant behavior at the event she last interacted with her irked her in a curious way she could not pinpoint. Not to mention she giggled at her expense, which the yellowblood still felt guilty about and hoped it wouldn't ever come up.

Nonetheless, Elidae went ahead, approaching the girl with a flurry of waving arms and a bright grin.

"Oh! Chiaraaa! Whoa! Nice to see you in this part of the city!" She greeted with the usual Elidae cheer. It was short lived. Before Chiara could interject, Elidae put on a surprised expression, bringing a hand to her mouth with a gasp. "Oops! I am so sorry! But I'm actually running a little late to work today!" Continuing her walk backwards, she kept her attention on the other girl, yet clearly attempting to leave the scene. "We'll definitely catch up later though, right? Riiight? Okay, see ya later!" With a quick wave, Elidae spun on her heel and maneuver herself back on track, pleading to glub the blueblood would be satisfied with her bargain. She had so much work to do tonight!

Chiara called as she reached out to grab Elidae's arm. "I did ya a favor you know, don't you want to know what it is?" Chiara got in front of the yellowblood, hands on her hips, grin on her lips. "Why i got you some time off! Called ya in sick not ten minutes ago. So really, if ya don't want to go lying to your boss, you should get back upstairs, get into bed, and let me feed ya some soup. I mean, i told your boss ide take care of you all night." Chiara's grin widened, showing sharp teeth. "Don't want to be a little yellow lier, do ya?"

Without waiting for an answer Chiara hooked arms with the startled yellowblood. "And ill do all that too. If ya want we can go upstairs, and ill baby poor sick Elidae, all night long. Or..." Chiara winked at the troll caught in her arm hook. "How about we play a game together?"

"Eep!" Being pulled back, Elidae stumbled slightly when Chiara grabbed her arm. Of course she wouldn't let her go so easily. She gave the blueblood a nervous, questioning smile, but it only fell when she continued speaking. "Uh- a- a favor?" Uh oh.

"You what?" While she wore a tight lipped smile, Elidae's horrified stare transfixed in a different direction than Chiara, the cogs of her thinkpan whirling in registration. Elidae fumed. She turned her head to the side as if trying to get make better use of her spongeclots, completely in disbelief on what Chiara said she did without her knowledge. "N-n-n-no! I need those hours- I have to work- you can't- why did you-" Stuttering her opposition, she quickly realized it was all useless. Chiara already did the deed and, even if she did try to run to her employer to explain what happened, Chiara's word greatly outweighed her own. Visibly wincing as the blueblood continued, Elidae brought a hand to her face in frustration, allowing her to hook arms with reluctance. A yellow flush crossed her cheeks at the thought of Chiara "taking care of her all night long". But she wasn't even sick!

"What... what kind of game?" Elidae finally asked, glancing at Chiara with anxious eyes. What did Chiara have planned?

I know your the kind of troll someone can count on!" Chiara said, sewing some seeds of fear of her peers' dissaporval on the yellowblood. Chiara knew how Elidae cared about what other thought. Everyone cared what others thought, at least to some degree, even Chiara.
"But i told those bone suckers they didn't know what they were talking about, Elidae is an upstanding troll, she wouldn't chicken out on a fun little game." Chiara papped the yellowblood on the nose with one finger. "I know, this isent what you really wanted to do on your day off, so how about i sweeten the deal? If you win, Ill do something for you. Anything. Winner's choice."The blueblood offered as she guided her friend towards a nearby gym.

"Leave it to other trolls to totally miss judge a troll, just because she acts all bubbly and cute. I bet your going to love this, its called fencing. Im sure you've heard of it before, right?" The blueblood had rented out a large room for her game, complete with the gear, room, and most importantly, the swords, for fencing.
"See its a very elegant style of swordsmanship. Started by one of the queens thousands of sweeps ago, has really had a noble place in troll history and all. Nothing some lowblood or uncultured troll would know about, but im sure your well aware of all this Elidae. I can tell you are obviously a cultured troll." Chiara grinned at the yellowblood and picked up one of the swords. They were not deadly at all, but they did look quite elegant.

Even if she was frustrated and uncomfortable, Elidae seemed to still lean in on what Chiara was saying. Her face fell into despair. "Someone said I'm no fun?" Elidae whimpered, though Chiara continued to talk over her. Much to her surprise, Chiara was... complimenting her? A sudden brightness returned to her features as the blueblood talked her up, and she gave an unsure sheepish smile. But then again- Chiara kept mentioning a game. What exactly was this game she wanted to play?

"Wow- that's- that's nice of you to sa-" When Chiara tapped her on her freckled nose, Elidae wiggled it in response, feeling the blueblood's unwanted touch linger.

"Winner's choice...? Well, I do like games! Especially when there's something to win! ... What exactly are we going to try to win, though?" Elidae questioned innocently, blinking with an interested smile despite herself.

"Anything you want, Elidae, anything in the world." Chiara put a hand on her hip, glad the fish had taken the bait. Chiara took Elidae's arm in hers, escorting her to the gym they were going to play the game in. "And if i win, well hey, maybe i could get a small favor someday? But really Elidae, i hope you win, think of all the things you could do if you had your own shop! None of that wretched rent, or loans, or whatever those nasty trolls use to snare sweet trolls who just want to make a name for themselves."

Chiara guided her opponent over to a large building, and flashed the troll at the door a badge. The troll quickly lead the two into a room with a padded ring, some equipment, and several long shiny swords. Chiara bowed to the yellowblood, and indicated the equipment around. "Care to have some fun?"
