Things had been dreadfully slow as of late. There really weren't any of those things around to go awaken or harass into being awesome things of Chaos, so Silk had resorted to one of his hobbies to pass the time. Today, it wasn't harassing his twin or wrecking her hoard of shinies and baubles. Today it was climbing things, and today happened to be the jack pot of climbing. The kitten had somehow managed to get himself onto the sill of an open window, and he stood on it like he owned it, as cats rightfully do, and then peered into the space, although is was really glaring. It appeared to be an apartment of some sort--- " What dumb a** leaves their window open in February!?" Nuxaz Hi ouo /touches I hope this okay! If something needs to be changed, please let me know! <3

It didn't matter that it was the one of the coldest months of the year, Jade left her window open because her apartment, which she'd converted into her YouTube studio, was hot as hell. It was a side effect of being a top floor apartment and it didn't matter that her heater was effectively off, because beneath the bright lights she used for filming she got very warm.
And certain skits or videos required her to be wearing more clothing than was comfortable over a long period of time beneath those bright studio lights.
She'd finished filming, just barely turned the lights off and made her way to the kitchen oblivious to the cat peering into her home. She was too preoccupied with rewarding herself with a water bottle from the door of her fridge.
It took her no time at all to down the entire bottle and she grabbed a towel from the kitchen sink and dabbed at her forehead. Tossing the bottle into the garbage can, she began to make her way back towards the room with her laptop.Lucyal Assume Jade is blissfully unaware that there is a cat thinking of coming into her apartment!

Silk hopped down from the window sill and into the room, golden eyes darting this way and that. "Oh, it's hot." His nose scrunched up, briefly, before he looked up at all the equipment in the room. "Still. Dumb a** leaving windows open." His ears tilted towards the sound of foot steps. Ah. Alright. So there was someone in here. He didn't seem all that alarmed, because he was a cat after all--- he owned the place. Cat privileges. In fact, he parked his little furry bottom right there on the floor and waited. Staring.

Jade didn't know what she expected when she returned to her room but a cat sitting in the middle looking like it owned it for all the world. Blue eyes blinked slowly as she stepped forward cautiously, one pale brow raised curiously.
"Well hello there kitty cat, what are you doing here?" She asked, aware that as the thing was a cat it couldn't talk back to her, but still Jade liked to coo at animals when she got the chance.
"Aren't you a handsome fella? I think I've got some cat treats in the cupboard if you wanna come out with me?" She made a few clicking noises with her tongue, wiggling fingers at the cat as if it'd get it to follow her.

Silk couldn't help but roll his eyes. What was it with people and their cat talk? But, she said a magical phrase: cat treats. Oh. Well then! He could put up with the act of being a regular cat if it meant he'd get something good out of the deal. Hopefully she had some good s**t. Like a can of tuna. The kitten gave a half hearted and almost bored sounding 'meow' and shifted to all fours, padding after her. Though he had to wonder...why wasn't she super surprised at finding a random cat in her apartment? Hm.

It was simple, Jade talked to cats like she talked to babies because they were cute which meant lots of cutesy compliments, cooing, and big smiles like those were all keys in getting them to like her. Most of the time it worked, unless the cat was an a*****e and didn't like people. The woman wasn't strictly a cat person, but an animal person.
But cats were more particular so it was important to her that they liked her.
She counted it as a small victory when he meowed and followed her out the room. She padded over to the cupboard where she kept all her treats, human and otherwise, plucking a container filled with bags of cat treats and toys.
She pulled out a particular one, a tea-bag shaped toy labeled Kit-tea. She looked at the small black cat with a mischievous grin. "I wonder what you're like when you get catnip." She mused glancing from the now dangling toy and back to Silk.
Then she tossed the toy full of catnip at him.

Silk had plopped himself back down on his bottom, wondering what kind of treats she had, when his eyes suddenly widened. If she hadn't thrown the toy his way, he probably would have broken his 'plain ol' not talkin' cat' bit, with an obscene exclamation of how this crazy chick was stranger danger and invited random cats into her home to DRUG THEM. Alas, the words never came out of his mouth, because the toy soared his way, and he caught the scent. The scent he just had to have. Not only were Silk's eyes wide, his pupils suddenly expanded, the gold of his eyes a thin lining around the black. The kitten bounded after the toy, where he then immediately pressed his face into the ground and rubbed up against the toy. Except the toy wasn't staying still so...Silk ended up following the toy around with his nose pressed against it, dragging the rest of his face across the floor with his little bottom still up in the air. So not dignified.

Jade watched with a gleeful grin as Silk's pupils dilated and he launched after the toy. She returned the cat toy container to it's rightful spot in the cupboard before moving to the kitchen counter and leaning against it as she watched, obviously amused, the cat go to town with the tea bag filled with catnip.
Blue eyes followed the little cat, with his bum high in the air, as he scooted across the ground after the toy that kept trying to slip away from him.
She couldn't suppress the giggle when it bubbled.
"You're cute," she told the cat, who was probably not listening to her. And okay, taunting cats with catnip was just too fun.

Jade was right. He wasn't listening to her. He was now on his back rolling back and forth with the toy squeezed tightly between his paws as he kept his nose pressed to it. So much inhaling. Much scent. Wow. He couldn't get enough. Honestly, this behavior continued for all about five minutes. He chewed on the toy, he threw the toy around, went after it, sniffed it, chewed it more, wigged out, hopped around, came back to it, wigged out more, but then when he was done--- he was done. Silk could finally quit the toy, and he moved away from it, sluggishly, and then shifted into a cat loaf position on the floor. Except...he couldn't keep his head up, so that ended up drooping. His eyes lidded as well.

Moments like this were the exact reason that Jade kept a container full of cat things because watching a cat go to town on a toy or catnip was down right adorable. Her only lament was that she hadn't gotten a video of the cute little thing. Her viewers would have ooooohed and aaaaaawed at Silk.
Maybe it was something she could get later. A bonus video as a "hey I really appreciate that you guys find me entertaining!". It was tempting.
But what was more tempting was the desire to scoop the black cat into her arms and scratch him behind the ears while she watched something. So, that was exactly what Jade did.
She rounded the kitchen counter, bent and swooped up the exhausted kitten into her arms and plopped down on the couch, turning Netflix on in one fell swoop.
Then, she folded her legs in a criss-cross position and settled Silk in her lap, petting him casually, prepared for any exhausted lashing out. "I hope you enjoyed your playtime and that you're comfortable."

This woman...this woman was evil. He could be like... cat-napped. She seriously must drug all cats unfortunate enough to come in and like... do things. What kind of things he wasn't sure---and not that he was in any right mind to speculate. He wasn't. All he wanted to do was take a huge nap. Thus he didn't fight at all, and actually just hung limp in Jade's arms as she scooped him up and positioned herself and him. Yeah he...honestly couldn't do anything. It was also totally against his will that he started to tiredly and softly purr as Jade pet him. Right after he napped, he was totally out of here. Nuxaz Actually, this seems like a good place to wrap up! Jade will forever be known as that crazy lady who dishes cat drugs
