 Raevynn had finally made her decision. Finding Illyria was not proving easy and yet there had been that rumor of a band of large winged Soquili. Perhaps it was possible that they had come across Illyria and would have information that she could use. Even if that was not the case there was the chance that she could mingle around the area and stay on the lookout for any information that spoke of a large winged mare.
The mare glided on the air currents before spotting a likely area in which she could land and explore the land. Somewhere nearby would be the brothers that she was searching for. Raevynn was sure of it.

 Hiei was sulking once more. He had had an argument with one of his brothers and had taken to skulking around the edge of their territory. He was still technically on scouting duty so he kept his eyes open for signs of trespassers. The stallion's black plumage was striking against the stark whiteness of the snow on the ground. He had taken to holding a brief conversation with himself over what he wished he could do. In such times Hiei wished that he could just take off and go explore more than just this little area that they "controlled."
It would keep him from getting on the nerves of his brothers.
A sound of a twig snapping brought Hiei to attention. His sharp gaze penetrated the gloom around him as he found his voice, "Who goes there?"

Raevynn glared at the rather large branch that she had just inadvertently stepped on. The resounding snap echoed around her and she cursed under her breath. That was one way of making your presence known. The half-kalona mare kicked at the branch in frustration before muttering. Her gaze widened as a voice called out from the shadows around her. At first she was not inclined to give an answer but perhaps this stranger would point her in the direction she needed to travel.
Taking a chance Raevynn sighed before replying to the mysterious voice. Her voice was slightly mocking though as she gave her response, "I am but a weary traveler in search of a place to rest."
Chuckling softly, more to herself, Raevynn strolled into view and her breath caught at the sight of the stranger. Was this one of the brothers whom she had been seeking out?

Straightening his posture Hiei observed the mare as she came into view. The stranger was jesting as she replied and Hiei narrowed his gaze at her lack of levity. Her lack of seriousness made him wonder if he should just chase her away without conversation. Closing his eyes the stallion centered his breathing and rose while stretching out his wings. The wingspan was impressive to look upon.
Hiei caught the mare's gaze and gave a shrug at her reply. "Hmm, would this weary traveler have a name that I could address her by?"
By her appearance Hiei could pinpoint that she was of the kalona breed. She did not share all the traits with the species so obviously she was not a full blooded kalona. Perhaps that was for the best. Hiei glanced around before locking his gaze on the mare again. "I would also like to know the reason for your trespass."
