Her watch hands sat on 11:45 as she rounded the corner of the large brick library. She had spent the entire day wondering if she should bother meeting up with this Camelot fellow. After all, she still was not entirely sure that this Knight business or whatever it was was something she wanted to be involved in. Still, there was a part of her that wouldn't let her just wipe her hands of it. Gwen was curious enough to at least explore the absurd option that magic and some unknown war were actually real. Despite the still sore lump on the back of head Gwen made her decision to go. So all it took was a quick internet search to find the library's business hours. She assumed that later was better than earlier. Bundled up in the same jacket she had been in the previous night, Gwen trudged up sidewalk. Her boots crunched as she made her way over an area that had been liberally salted. By the looks of it, there had been an abundance of ice earlier in the day but the rock salt had done it's job. Her breath misted in front of her making her feel even colder just seeing it. I really hate the cold. A shiver ran down her spine and she picked up her pace a bit. It wasn't long until she was walking in the doors, a blast of heat helping to thaw her out. Unwrapping the scarf from her neck, Gwen glanced around the well lit main floor. She'd only visited the library once before so had no clue where to even go. The main desk was void of anybody so she walked towards what looked like a large sitting area with multiple chairs and some long tables for people to work at. Pulling her gloves off she flexed her fingers as she peered around a few of the book shelves that were nearby. I doubt I should be running around calling out for him since I didn't his real name and there was that identity glamour thing he talked about. She sighed, stuffing the gloves into a pocket. "How am I going to find him in here when I don't even know his name?" She muttered.

Every once in a while, Dogby decided she was not the well behaved, well trained Library Dog that basically lived at the place with her dad, Tony. Sometimes, she wanted to pretend she was a wild and untamed wolf puppy that could not be mastered, and spent her time responding to those instincts by running around the library, sniffing and licking unsuspecting prey, then bounding off on her stubby legs like she thought she was faster than a cheetah.
And Tony had to follow after her, barely missing her each time he swooped to try and scoop the round, but surprisingly fast, corgi up. Right now, Dogby was darting across the library like a bullet from a gun, scooting across the carpet with her small legs racing a mile a minute, so she felt.
A man with a cane was not the most apt to give chase, even to a slower-than-most dog, but he did what he could to run after her. Thankfully, the library was not too busy at the moment, so only a few people were laughing at the sight of the head librarian chasing a corgi around in circles.
Dogby skidded to a stop in front of Gwen and looked up at her excitedly, wagging her butt so hard she could barely stand still. She had no tail, of course, but that did not stop her from trying to express her delight at meeting a new friend. She whined excitedly, lifting herself up on her backlegs and kicking with her front to indicate that she wanted to be picked up.
"I'm sorry," Tony puffed, hobbling up and looking down at the corgi disapprovingly. "She's harmless, she's just... excited. Oh. Oh, hello!"

No sooner had she voiced her dismay did the little corgi come bounding around the corner. Her little legs, round body, and overly happy expression had Gwen staring for a second wondering why there was a dog in the library before breaking out in laughter. Especially when the specific man she had been looking for came running after her in an attempt to snatch the little beast. Whether or not it was an attempt to kick the pup out or not, Gwen wasn't sure, but it was quite a sight to behold. As the pup stopped at her feet, Gwen grinned down at the corgi. Her little round butt was moving so fast with her lack of a tail, and Gwen happily complied to pick her up at the rather obvious request. Carefully she tucked the dug under one arm with ease, wrapping the other under neath to help her feel secure. Obviously, she had quite a bit of experience toting around little mutts. "No worries. My own can be just as bad sometimes." She smiled and booped the dog on the nose with a finger before returning her arm back underneath where her fingers worked to scratch the pups tummy. "I have to admit, I was worried I wouldn't find you since I never got your name. I had forgotten how big this place was." She glanced around, noting a few souls who looked like they were there to close the library down. That certainly wasn't something Gwen could say she'd ever done. Now, closing a bar or club, a different story and more to her liking. "Um, I hope you don't mind that I just showed up? I figured coming here now would be better than earlier in the day considering..." Gwen had assumed that whatever it was she was suppose to do was more of a nightly job? After all, seeing people running around town in strange outfits didn't seem as if it was the smartest thing to do if you wanted to keep a low profile.

"Oh, sorry. I thought I would be fairly easy to find, since I run this place, but ah... runaway dogs do tend to draw me from the front desk more than I... would like."
He looked at Dogby, who looked like the happiest dog in the world now that she had gotten what she wanted. What she generally spent her days questing for were cuddles and love, so she felt today was a massive success with the acquisition of a new friend.
Which Gwen now was.
"My name is Anthony, by the way! Anthony Darrow. Most folks call me Tony. Or ah. Less appreciated nicknames that generally have to do with my age," he wrinkled his nose, but smiled despite himself. "I'm glad you came! We can go to the roof to talk, if you'd like."
The roof was his safe haven, after all, and only he had keys to get up there. It was where he started and ended his patrols each night, as well.

"Oh! I didn't realize you ran this place. I thought you just worked here." Tony was quite a busy man it seemed. She chuckled at his face when he looked at the corgi in her arms. Obviously he had great love for the animal but, like all of them, the little rascals could be a handful at time. "I am Gweneth Malley." She smiled her greeting, un able to offer a hand for shaking considering that both were currently busy. "The roof?"" She questioned but nodded. "Yea, sure that's fine." Was an interesting place to want to talk. Not to mention cold. Why not pick a spot inside where they were unlikely to be heard? Still, she guessed he had his reasoning for it. Who was she to suggest someplace more comfortable considering she'd only stepped foot in the library once before in passing. After giving the pup in her arms a scratch behind the ear, Gwen gently set her back down on the ground where she could get herself back into mischief if she so desired. "What's her name by the way?" She nodded down at the corgi as she followed Tony.

Tony chuckled, nodding his head. He was generally humble about his status in the library, working as the head librarian more often than not and simply enjoying his day to day at the front desk. He was very happy in his day job, really, and could not ask for a better counter balance to his night life as a knight.
Tony gathered Dogby up and took her to his office, so she could sleep in her bed and not get into any more trouble while he was off talking. He saw she had worn herself out, anyway, so a nap was probably in order anyway. That was good, at least.
"That little ball of fur and energy is named Dogby. I have another one, at home, slightly younger, named Gizmo. They are both... very spoiled." He laughed, shaking his head. He couldn't help being a pathetic loser when it came to his animals. They ruled the house, he just lived in it under their permission.
Leading the way up to the roof, he stepped out into the fresh air and smiled, looking out over the city he cared so much for. The view never got tiring.
"So, how are things? Are you all right?"

"Dogby, huh?" She smiled. The name was adorable as well as the name Gizmo. Gwen adored dogs with unique names that were also cute. Not to mention, corgis were always a sweet dog and usually very comical to watch with their short stubby legs and big ears. "I like it. And I can understand the spoilt part. My own little sheltie is uh, well, he knows he's my baby." She chuckled and watched at Tony plopped the little corgi in his office before following him to the roof. Walking out onto the rooftop, Gwen folded her arms against the winter cold. Sure, it was February, but old man winter wasn't ready to release his hold yet on the city and the cold breeze just made it all that much more uncomfortable for the redhead. Give her a nice hot day and she'd be happy. As her gaze shifted from Tony to the view though, she had to admit it was pretty in its' own way. She'd never really seen the city from a rooftop before. At Tony's question she pulled her gaze away from the view to him. Taking a moment for her eyes to adjust back to the darkness. "Alright. I guess." She reached back to tentatively touch the spot where she had smacked her head the night before. "Still a bit tender but I don't feel ill anymore, so that's a plus I guess." Shifting, she stood there a bit awkwardly, not sure what to do or say. So what did this man expect of her? What did he want her to do? Last night had been such a whirlwind that it all began to blur together. It was also possible that her head injury had a hand in the matter of her clarity of the evening. "So...care to explain a bit more about this...knight business? What am I suppose to be doing and why? It just really seems very odd and surreal."

Tony nodded his head, looking apologetic.
"I know it can be a little overwhelming. I mean. A lot overwhelming. I remember when I powered up for the first time. I had no idea what I was doing at the time, or what I was meant to do afterwards. And I had a little bit of an advantage, on that front, because I had some knowledge of this whole fight and of senshi. Not of knights, of course, they were a... new thing at the time."
He caught himself, realizing he was getting a little wistful and rambly. With a sheepish grin, he turned toward her and nodded, folding his arms over his chest. It took a moment of thought before he continued.
"Well, what sort of things would you like to know? The basics of it are... we are a faction of people dedicated to protecting not only this city, but the world from an evil, corruptive force called Chaos. Chaos fights against us in the form of the Negaverse, and their soldiers are ruthless and often blinded by the Chaos in their starseeds. It's a... it's a very wicked thing, that can corrupt even the best person. Change them. We, Order, are destined to struggle to combat the spread and, if we ever can, stop it. As Knights, we work alongside Senshi in order to do that."

Gwen raised a brow. "So we are fighting an evil that can spread from person to person? It sounds like a plague of sorts." A stray gust of wind caused the woman to shiver and wrap her arms even tighter about herself. Why the hell did he have to pick the rooftop? It's too cold for this. The library would have made a better place to chat.Keeping another shudder at bay, Gwen made sure her hands were tucked between her body and arms before continuing. "So, what keeps this chaos from spreading? And how are we suppose to prevent it or...fix the people who were infected. Surely you're not saying that Knights for all over the place killing people who were infected with this chaos cause if so, I can tell you you have the wrong woman for the job here." Not that she wasn't sure he already had the wrong woman for the job. This all sounded like something out of some fiction book and Gwen wasn't sure she was quite ready to wrap her brain around it yet. "I have to admit, I am not sure I like the idea of being told I was destined to fight in a war." Gwen didn't particularly have any strong faith in anything. She believed there was the possibility that maybe, maybe there was something else out there but she was far from being religious. Still, she'd always thought about the idea of destiny and if it was something that could be true. How else do people explain deja vu's and psychics? Ok, sure, not all psychics were real, but some of the stuff they said and did was eerily correct from stuff she'd seen. "Are you saying that each one of us that were...picked for this job were destined to be fighters in this war? Because that seems odd to me as I am pretty sure there were no warriors amongst my ancestors." Alright. Fine. She couldn't say for sure there weren't warriors from forever ago, but really, what were the odds?

"It is a bit like a plague, though not quite the infection a flu or virus is. Chaos is spread directly, willfully, by an agent of Chaos taking someone's starseed and pushing Chaos into it. It's called corruption, and it robs that person of their memories, transforms them into another soldier of Chaos, and twists their morals to its end. Chaos is a very... evil thing. But the people infected with it are not always the same, and shouldn't be treated like they're beyond home. We can purify them, cleanse their starseeds of Chaos, which is something I deeply believe in."
He noticed her shiver and shrugged out of his over coat, draping it over her shoulders and offering her an apologetic smile. This was one of his favorite places in the city, but it was a little cold and inconvenient for others.
"Ah... but no, if we can avoid killing, then we should. We stop Chaos from spreading, interrupt their plans and keep them from harming innocent people, and we try to purify those that we can. Killing is a... a very last resort sort of option, and most of the time I choose to avoid it. It is a war, but we don't have to act like barbarians, or consider these people, most of whom were just wrapped up in it against their will much like we were when we awakened, as throw away lives. Everyone matters, and deserves a chance."
He ran his hand through his hair, considering her question.
"Picked, maybe. It's more we all have the potential to awaken within us, and when we are ready, or when we most need it, the power comes alive for us. We had this potential for greatness in us, and some force, whatever it might be, decided we were ready. For knights, I mean. The titles, the Wonder, we get are important, too. Mine is Camelot, and I am able to travel to that land because I am tied to it. You can visit yours, too, when you're ready."
