The Chibi Senshi of Fear was feeling pretty confident, all things considered. He had been doing such a good job with his patrols, and he felt like he was learning a lot! At home, he doubled up on his comic book reading, focusing on super hero tales and even watching anime and stuff like that, stuff he wasn't used to watching but for the good of LEARNING he was ready to do it.
He took a lot of mental notes about how to be brave and strong and awesome, and how to save everyone that needed saving.
Putting all that information into practice, though, was a little harder than he thought. Or maybe he was just sort of... avoiding that part. His imagination had always been a safe and fun place, after all, and even now with all these powers he did not exactly want to barrel face first into danger if he could just avoid it.
Instead, he was practicing climbing buildings, running around and jumping, and seeing what awesome things he could do. Like the super heroes in his comics, of course! So far, he had not been able to leap a tall building in a single bound, but he would keep working on it.
He was in the park, practicing his jumping on a tree, and seeing how far up it he could bounce each time. Most of the time, he failed to do anything impressive, and just fell out of the tree. Since no one was around to see him, and the fall was not that bad with his magic to buffer him, neither his pride or his body was getting hurt by this endeavor.

Elvira was really, really, really enjoying being a super senshi…her power felt like it was growing by the day…and even when things were getting scary…like with the pink haired corrupted senshi…she had somehow managed to worm her way out of trouble with her attack…so it was a good thing!
More and more she was venturing out on her own, and tonight was no different. She felt the aura of a chibi senshi nearby, and idly wondered if it might be one of her old friends…if it wasn’t, well maybe it was a new friend. She made her way over to where she felt the aura and arrived just in time to watch Cygnus fall from the tree. Well, this was both bad and good. Good, because it was one of her friends…and bad because well.
He fell from a tree!
“Cygnus! Are you okay? That looked like it hurt!” The super senshi rushed over and looked down at the white haired chibi, eyes wide. “What were you doing?”

"I'm FINE," Cygnus accidentally yelled as he got to his feet and did his best impersonation of a small boy not thoroughly embarrassed by his fall out of a tree. He looked at Elvira and took a moment to realize that she looked different.
Actually, she looked stronger. And felt it, too, from that weird aura people had.
Aw man!
"Wait, what happened to you!? Why is your outfit different? That's not fair! Mine has been the same forever and it's really stupid looking! I mean," he frowned, shaking his head. There was no way he wanted to imply hers was better than his, and since his emotions were already all frazzled by the blow he took to his pride just now, he stomped his foot and reiterated quickly, "Yours is stupid too!"

Elvira’s worried expression faded to one of pride when he asked what happened to her, and maybe it was because he saw that she wasn’t a chibi anymore, but the expression quickly changed to one of hurt when he called her stupid. First he yelled at her for being worried, and now he was calling her stupid? This wasn’t fair! She hadn’t done anything wrong.
“I’m a senshi now, and I’m not a chibi anymore.” Her voice was quiet and she crossed her arms over her chest, as though she could hold back the tears that were trying to p***k at her eyes by hugging herself. “Thanks for noticing.”
There was no way she was going to comment on his stupid comment. She didn’t want to, and maybe he would apologize if he realized how much it had hurt her. Maybe.
…then again, maybe he just wasn’t a good friend after all.

Cygnus looked huffy, but was in an internal battle with his rising guilt. Sure, she was a girl, and one that was stronger and better than he was, but he still was not enjoying the look of disappointment on her face because he had snapped at her.
It was a defense mechanism, which usually worked at school to keep the other kids away from him, but he was not actually trying to do that here. He pouted a bit, dropping his arms and looking down.
"Your outfit is pretty," he managed, though he was mumbling mostly to the floor and his face was bright red now. "I didn't mean to call it stupid. I'm glad you're stronger now. That's really cool."
He couldn't help his flares of jealousy, but he had such a hard time making friends, it was a very bad idea to go and get rid of the few he had. He did not want to hurt her, which he clearly had, and though he was not exactly sure how to fix it or how to deal with feeling guilty about something, he was trying as best as he was able. Maturity was a very new, and very slow going, concept for him.

Elvira swallowed, finally lowering her arms and nodding. “Well…thank you…” He hadn’t really apologized…but she figured this was the best she was going to get out of him…and if that was the best he could do, well…that was enough then. Enough for now, at least.
“I also got this other neat thing…I went up to my asteroid, up to Elvira, the place not me the person…and I got this!” She took the crystal poinsettia pendant from around her neck and held it out to Cygnus. “It was a rock I buried and it turned into this, isn’t it pretty?”
Not that he would really think anything was pretty…but still…when Ida had touched it, she had thought of something that made her happy…so maybe Cygnus would too! It was worth a try, at least…maybe if he thought of something that made him happy…he wouldn’t be such a grouch! Lithiasaur The crystal poinsettia causes someone to recall their happiest memory! It is elviras personal item, he can touch it or not! <3 owo <3

Cygnus looked nervous, unsure. He eyed the crystal flower and wrinkled his nose at it, shaking his head. It was not because he did not want to touch the thing, but he had a natural distrust of all things. Literally. All things. He was a nervous sort, and did not like 'new' stuff. Plus, her new powers were already annoying even if he was trying to accept that it was a good thing and he was not supposed to be jealous.
Or mean. Do not be mean.
"You went to space?" he realized she had said that, blinking in confusion. He'd not heard about space travel before, or being able to visit their homeworlds. Was there a place out there called Cygnus that he could go to, or was she messing with him somehow? Did she call Elvira her room or secret hide out or something?
"You found that there? It is kinda pretty, I guess. If you... like flowers or whatever... uhm."

Elvira pulled the pendant back over her bushy mane of hair and nodded excitedly. “Yeah I went to space! It was so cool! And by cool, I really mean cold because there was snow everywhere, but yeah! You can get there too, Cygnus! Do you have your phone? I mean, like the one you got when you became a senshi, that’s how you get to space!”
The super senshi pulled out her phone to demonstrate. “See? And to get there, you just press on the Center button and think about it, I know you won’t be able to like, think about how it is right now, but just think about going there, like, think about wanting to go up to Cygnus…and you will! It’s super neat and really I don’t know. Interesting! And I had visions so that was cool too…either that or I was going crazy…but my friend Ida said that was normal.”
She bounced on the balls of her feet and touched her pendant again. “Thank you…I think it’s really pretty too…and it really means a lot to me…I don’t really know why, but it makes me feel…like I’ve done something really important…even if I haven’t.”

"Oh, yeah, I do."
He took his phone from his pocket, looking at it skeptically. He was not really a 'social' creature, so he had not added anyone except a couple of nice senshi who said they'd help him train to his phone. But that was better than nothing, right? And at least it had gotten some use out of that.
When she explained to him how to go to space, though, he blinked in dumb wonder.
"It could do that the whole TIME? I could just GO TO SPACE?!" he suddenly looked delighted, eyes wide as they could be as he looked at her, vibrating up and down as if he were going to take off like a rocket right there. He was gripping his phone a bit too tightly, the buttons making sad booping sounds in protest.
"I want to go! That sounds amazing! It's not scary though, is it? Will I find a flower? Because I don't want a flower."

“I mean…I don’t think it’s scary. I know that my asteroid isn’t scary at all, it’s just…empty. I think it’s gonna be empty for you too since…I guess…I don’t know. Everyone’s gone. Or something. So just know that. It’s lonely up there.”
She had to laugh at least a little as he mentioned not wanting to find a flower and she shrugged. “Well, I guess you won’t find any flowers…maybe you’ll find like…spiders or something, ghosts? Goblins?”
He was the senshi of fear, after all…clearly he should have something frightening!
“I would go with you if you wanted…so you didn’t have to be alone. It’s kind of amazing your first time, and I can understand why you’d wanna go by yourself!”

Cygnus nodded his head, though he had to wonder what a planet named for a Fear senshi would look like. Maybe it was a place where Fear wasn't allowed? So it was... happy and squishy and friendly?
Something told him that was probably not the case, but he still found himself really interested in finding out.
He was not sure he wanted to be there alone, though, if it was empty like she said and also scary. But did he want to bring a girl around to it on top of everything else he would have to deal with up there? He tilted his head, looking at his phone for the answer, but it just intoned miserably at him until he moved his hand off the number pad.
"Well... maybe if you wanna go some time..." he mumbled, the words falling out so close together it would be difficult to figure out exactly what he said unless paying close attention. He did not lift his eyes up from the phone, though, and scuffed his foot a bit. It was pretty clear he was awkwardly saying he'd like to her to come along with him, despite his words failing.

“Well, okay!” She couldn’t help but grin, excited. “We’ll have to plan for that then! I can bring cookies or something, and then you can come up to my asteroid too and we can have a cold picnic or something!”
She hadn’t been to anyone else’s planet yet, so this was going to be fun. “I should get going though! It was really nice to see you again, Cygnus.” Even though he had sort of been a jerk…and even though…he was kind of mean sometimes…he was still nice. And he was an ally, so that was good too! She couldn’t hold grudges for too long anyway, so his behavior didn’t really matter…much.
If he kept up being mean…she would be upset, but…but he was trying to be nice now, so that’s what really mattered. “Text me sometime and we can really start planning! If you go up there before we go up together, just let me know what it’s like, okay?” Elvira half wanted to leave now…because he was being nice. She was half concerned that he would start being mean again, since that sort of seemed to be his way of living.
“I’ll see you later, Cygnus!”

Cygnus looked up to see her going, nodding his head feebly and looking a strangely vibrant bright red. He tried to offer her a smile of goodbye, but with the uncomfortable face he was making it ended up being a grimace.
Being nice was difficult, but he did actually want to keep Elvira as his friend. It wasn't like he had a lot, and even if she was a girl, she was a nice one. And she didn't make him feel stupid or like he needed to be mean just to save face. Which was a nice change from the normal.
Though she did make him feel weird and shy, which was not as nice.
"Okay bye," he said, finally putting his phone away and giving her a nod that was almost a bow before turning and high tailing it out of there himself. He would always be a very socially awkward little dude, but t least now he was trying to be friendly and encourage her to not give up on him just yet.
Something told him, though, that going to his planet might be the final nail in the coffin on that front. They would have to see when they got there.
