It was another late night of patrolling, another night of dusting some youma, and another night of trying to bust another agent of the Negaverse. Apparently. There was no hesitation on Sedna's part as she dropped down from the roof tops in the shopping district after feeling the signature and finding the agent draining someone---

Something about this was...

Off wasn't the right word.

Something about this one was...

She hadn't seen an agent who put off such an...aura before. Hm. Still not the words that seemed to adequtely describe that---but here and now wasn't the time for it. Sedna raised her fists, and called out to the agent, "Stop right there!" as she readied herself for a battle.

He felt the power signature and let it come to him, rather than chase it. Wolfeite found running after something when it was drawing nearer to be a pointless endeavor; his energy, after all, was better expended elsewhere, and on better things.

Like draining.

The civilian was asleep, at least for now. Wolfeite had taken a great deal of his energy already, and now he glanced up, his hand still pressing against the man's chest. His dark eyes fell on the senshi, and a brow raised, the lieutenant leaning back slightly.

"I could stop," he conceded, and something in his gaze flashed dangerously.

"Or not."

Without warning, gloved fingers sank deep into the civilian's chest - and then, as though he were simply picking a piece of ripe fruit, Wolfeite yanked. The starseed glowed brightly in his palm, and the man fell sideways, breathing no more.

Wolfeite stood, his eyes now trained on the senshi as he pocketed the starseed, advancing towards her.

Sedna gasped, loudly, her eyes going wide as he just oh so casually yanked a star seed, and her stomach tightened with a rush of sudden anxiety. The stakes were higher now---if she failed to get that starseed back before the end of this---the man---She hadn't seen an agent just yank one before, like it was no big thing.

Immediately afterwards, too, instead of running, he was coming right towards her.

The senshi almost forgot herself for a moment, but her teeth clenched and her brows furrowed. "You'll regret that---Sedna's Sinking!" She clapped her hands together and held them out towards Wolfeite, a small fleet of ships forming and and zipping through the air towards him.

Her attack made him stagger. Wolfeite gave a low growl of irritation, his legs feeling heavy, his body under some sort of terrible impression that he was sinking lower and lower into the ground, in spite of him not doing so at all. His eyes rose, glittering black under the dim lighting, to face her.

Very deliberately, ignoring the heaviness, he started to walk towards her, each step dragging, lagging under the weight of her magic.

"I don't," said Wolfeite, "regret anything."

People usually took a few seconds to stop and wait for the feeling to pass.

This guy wasn't.

Granted, he was much slower, but he was still coming at her.

Briefly Sedna wondered if it was more justified to wait until he threw the first punch---after all, she didn't like outright attacking someone first---but wait---she had initiated the battle, hadn't she? Even if her magic was more status inducing than anything---but then she remembered why she was justified. This guy had yanked a starseed like it was nothing. Right. Right.

"We'll see about that, guy!" Sedna took advantage of those few precious seconds she had still, and charged him, pulling back a fist and aiming an attack for his torso. She had to get the starseed.

He hated the slow slog of his feet, the heaviness to his legs that made movement so much more difficult. But if there was anything that Wolfeite was not, it was a coward; he was not about to let some small bit of magic prevent him from getting exactly what he wanted.

She was right in front of him now. Her fist connected sharply against his chest, and Wolfeite staggered, a hiss of annoyance escaping him as pain blossomed upwards throughout his sternum. He reached for her, grappling at her wrists with sluggish movements, and there was no light in the dark eyes that surveyed her.

"Will we, now?" he asked, and yanked.

"Yeah---hand back the starseed, and I'll let you go!" Sedna did have a bit of nerve, considering it was currently Wolfeite who had her, but she tried. She let out a surprised sound as he yanked her wrists, and because he had caught her in her forward momentum from the strike, she couldn't get her feet under her.

She fell to the pull, and tried scrambling her feet underneath her.

The magic was wearing off. Wolfeite could feel it beginning to ebb away, and beneath the kerchief there came a dangerous, cold smile, his dark eyes glittering.

"No," he said, and there was little emotion to it, a simple, flat denial.

"You don't have me," said Wolfeite calmly, and raised his knee, aiming to slam it into her stomach.

"But I---"

Will. She had meant to say, will. She will have him, but it was then that he plowed his knee into her stomach, and her breath left her lungs in a whoosh. It was the hardest she'd been hit by an agent to date, and it hurt.

Being magical was all swell and all, and definitely had its perks, like jumping from taller heights and surviving the fall, but when facing someone else magical...

Clearly that advantage went away when they were playing on the same level.

Sedna was nothing if not resilient though, and while the attack made pain shoot through her, she had enough mind to try pulling away from him to recollect herself. Sedna raised an arm, and shoved her elbow into his side, trying to dig at him to get him to let her go as she also tried to catch her breath.

With the magic completely gone, it was much easier to move. Wolfeite shifted, rolling his neck from side to side to work out the kinks and the stiffness stemming from his sluggish movements. Knuckles cracked as he flexed his fingers, dark eyes glittering.

The senshi's elbow in his side was unexpected, and he had missed it; a hiss of mingled anger and pain escaped Wolfeite and he staggered sideways, swearing obscenely.

He pulled himself together again, irritated now, and grabbed ahold of the senshi's arm, yanking her back.

"Nice try," Wolfeite snarled, and all but threw her sideways, towards the nearest building.

The breath of relief was incredibly short lived. No sooner had she managed to shake him off was he right back again. Sedna made a short surprised gasp as he yanked, and pain shot through her once again as she was thrown against the wall. She landed in a heap, grunting in pain. Oh no. What was she doing!? He was just tossing her around---

She hadn't gone against anyone like this before though---

She hadn't crossed paths with someone so---

Sedna gritted her teeth, and reached for a nearby trash can lid. She yanked it, and then hurled it like a frisbee at the lieutenant. The senshi then staggered back to her feet, trying to push against the ache shooting through her side at being thrown at the wall. She needed to...she actually needed to use what she'd been learning in those kick boxing classes---

It's what she had taken them for, right?

She was so easy to move; so easy to break.

Wolfeite felt the satisfaction racing through his veins, the heady thrill of excitement that nothing but a fight could bring. In spite of the throbbing pain in his ribs from the senshi's earlier jab, he seemed neither to care, nor notice it anymore.

The trash can lid collided with Wolfeite's upper arm, sending him staggering, but he let out a feral growl and continued. A hand shot out and seized the girl, fingers closing around her neck as he pressed her back against the wall.

"Give me a good reason," he said, in a low voice, almost a caress. "Not to kill you."

Oh man.

Sedna choked, feeling suffocated with his hand on her neck as he pressed her to the wall with the pressure of the action. Her hands clawed at the wrist holding her there, and she wheezed, almost a laugh, because she found the line funny. "I highly doubt---guy---" She breathed, "That any reason would be good for you---"

Would he really though---

Trying to pry his hand off wasn't working. What she should do next was flying through her brain, when she tried out another course of action. She stopped trying to pry his hand off her neck, and moved her fist out to the side underneath his arm. She then brought her fist around as fast and hard as she could, trying to slam it into his elbow to bend it.

He had to give her credit for answering him in a manner that was surprisingly accurate.

No answer would ever be good enough.

Wolfeite's fingers tightened around the senshi's neck, feeling the tender skin beneath his gloved hand. It would bruise so easily, he knew this, and it was easy to keep her pinned there, her wheezing gasps echoing in his ears, her hands grasping at his wrist.

Her fist cracked into his elbow. Wolfeite made a strangled noise of fury and immediately let go, pain ricocheting up and down his elbow. Staggering slightly, he swung out in an automatic, instinctive gesture and backhanded her sharply across the face.

"That was an ill advised move," he hissed, his arm throbbing, Wolfeite putting his hand to it.

Crack.

Sedna's head snapped to the side from the impact, and immediately a sharp burst of pain shot through her. Her vision went black for a moment from the intensity, and she immediately slapped a hand up to her mouth. It was hot. And warm. And sticky, and it stung like she had never felt before.

He split her lip.

She blinked rapidly and tried shaking her head, keeping a hand pressed against her mouth. Her eyes widened as she snapped to the lieutenant. "So was stealing that starseed---" Her voice was incredibly muffled though, and it hurt to try and talk when it felt like her bottom lip was breaking apart. Sedna shot a leg out and immediately swiped it across, looking to sweep him off his feet.
