Ciel walked down the hallway of the Crystal dorms. She had decieded to go to her wonder tonight but not wanting to go alone, and also wanting to show her new trees, she decided to try and invite a knight she had meet some weeks ago, Dallol of Uranus. She was a student at Crystal just like Ciel but she was a few years older.
Taking a deep breath she knocked on the door to Hawfen's dorm. She was a bit nervous hoping she wasn't bothering the older girl.
"Um Hawfen, are you busy right now? Its ciel." She said hoping the older girl remembered her.

Hafwen had about two to three months to go till the college entrance exams and the studying was slowly yet surely killing her from within. There was only so many months of all work and no play that the Crystal senior could take and she was quite frankly at her limit at the moment that just about every little thing that didn't go her way was enough to set her off.
Fortunately for Ciel, Hafwen was in the middle of a self declared hour long break and in a much better mood already when the younger Crystal girl decided to swing by her dorm room. It didn't take her long to answer the door and it was with a smile to boot when she realised who the visitor was.
"Hey. I was just taking a break between studying. Is there something you need?"

Ciel didn't know if Hafwen had a roommate or not so after looking around she whispered to her.
"If you have the time I was wondering if you might like to come to Hyperborea with me." She offered hopefully. She really wanted to show off her pretty new trees to someone. And she wanted to get to know Dallol better, it was not often that she got to meet knights around her age and the fact that she was crystal girl too made it all the better.

As far as things went, Hafwen shared the dorm with Mercy her bestie, roommate and Crystal Academy freshman. Just that the younger girl was out working with some classmates on a project at the moment and probably wouldn't be back till it was close to curfew.
"Sure. I'll love to."
She nodded, stepping aside and making a sweeping motion with her hand to invite Ciel into the room. It was for the best that the both of them spoke about such matters behind closed doors lest they accidentally compromised their respective civilian identities.
"So how do we get there?"

Ciel walked into the room. "Have you never been to your wonder?" She asked confused. The other knight was a squire already surely she hadn't gone all this time with going to her homeworld. That would mean she didn't even have her signet ring yet.
She did a quick sweep of the room before powering up into Hyperborea. "It's simple, first give me your hand." She requested. "Now I just need to say the oath." She explained.
"I pledge my life and loyalty to Cosmos, and to Hyperborea. I humbly request your aid, so that in return I may give you mine." She began the recitation of the oath once she had the older girl in hand. In a flash the pair was gone from the Crystal dorm room and from the Earth itself.
They reappeared on the acropolis of Hyperborea. The ancient stone city stretched out beneath them, above them the sky was filled with endless stars and three bright purple ones in particular stood out. Rainbow colored cherry blossums fluttered in the cosmic wind.
"Welcome to Hyperborea, the grand city within the stars." She said with a curtsy. The knight's transcendent marks glowed brighter than normal as did the oath mark set in her eye.

Wonder? Oath? Wait a minute. Was there a Knights 101 session that Hafwen had been missing out on ever since the day she awakened as Dallol? How was it that everyone else seemed to know everything while she remained clueless despite having already been a knight for a while?
Shaking her head at Ciel's question, Hafwen took the cue from the younger girl, powering up as well into Dallol before taking hold of her hand, watching with abated breath as the familiarity of the dorm room that she shared with Mercy was replaced in an instant by the acropolis of Hyperborea. "This is... are we still on Earth or is this another place in the universe entirely?"
She couldn't help the questions that came immediately to her mind as she stood still and stared in awe at the sight of the ancient stone city beneath them and the rainbow coloured cherry blossoms around them. "... and what are those markings on you? Are they tattoos? I don't remember seeing them the last time we met..."

Hyperborea smiled at the girls question. "Nope not on Earth at all, we are on the other side of the center of the galaxy past the Space Cauldron." Hyperborea explained.
She looked looked up into the starry sky to try and get her barrings, "The cauldron should be that way and so would the solar system." She said pointing towards the back of her wonder.
"These are called transcendence markings, they represent the unbreakable bond I've formed with the code piece here on Hyperborea. It grants me extra energy and allows me to share some of it through touch, in addition it also protects me from having my starseed pulled or corrupted." She explained gesturing at her glowing iridescent marks.
"I got them on the night I was made a full fledged knight, they are the reason so much of the plants are alive again on Hyperborea." Hyperborea said walking over to one of the cherry blossom trees. "These trees were once the pride of Hyperborea, they attracted visitors from across the galaxy. I'm so happy to finally get to see them myself."
"Come on, I'll show you the rest of the acropolis." She said with a smile as she motioned for Dallol to follow her as she made her way through the entrance of the courtyard.

... the wonders never cease do they?
"The Space Cauldron?" Ignorance was a weakness and gosh Dallol absolutely detested how stupid her questions must have come across to Hyperborea. They were a testament with regards to just how little she knew about Knights despite having being one for far longer than the younger Cosmos Knight and it was beginning to bother her to no end that she ought to do something about it.
"Transcendence... huh?" The Uranus Squire stared long and hard at the iridescent markings that Hyperborea gestured to during her explanation. The abilities associated with transcendence sure sounded nifty and she couldn't help being envious of her friend's achievements while she herself had somehow stagnated all this while in stark comparison.
"How did you go about forming such a bond with your wonder and how did you come to know all of this?" She asked tentatively while following the other's lead towards the entrance of the courtyard.

"Hmm, it is a place of great power and importance so I'm told. It is the birthplace of every star and planet in the universe and also the birthplace of starseeds, our souls. It is where starseeds go when their host die so that they can be reincarnated. My princess, sailor cosmos, stands guard over it." She explained what little she knew about the cauldron.
"Well keep in mind that from what I've heard talking to others like me everyone achieves this form differently but for me. I had discovered a miasma polluting my wonder and stopping the flow of magic so I used my code piece to burn away the miasma by connecting my consciousness to it. It was actually kinda dangerous, I almost lost my mind to the cosmos but when I pulled myself away from my code piece these lines had been etched into my skin." She explained.
As they passed through the entrance building she was greeted with the sight of a towering statue of an ancient knight of Hyperborea made in bronze holding a golden javelin up in the air. To their left was a tall building with steam rolling out from between it's columns. "Over there is the grand baths and over there is my ancestral home." She explained as she pointed at various buildings.

"I see. Your princess must be very old then so as to tend to a task of such gravity." A space cauldron that transcended time yet was the very cradle of every star's, planet's and living being's existence. Fascinating indeed.
"I'm glad that what you did for your Wonder was successful in purifying the miasma and granted you newfound abilities. We would have lost a valuable friend on that day otherwise." Dallol smiled, genuinely relieved that Hyperborea's transcendence process hadn't gone awry and cost her mind/life otherwise. She might not know Hyperborea very well in person but she wouldn't wish for any harm to come to the Cosmos Knight in any case.
Looking up in awe at the bronze statue that towered over them and the various buildings that looked actually liveable, she found herself asking another question again when what Hyperborea shared managed to pique her interest. "Ancestral home? You mean to say that one of your relatives used to live here?"
