If there was one thing that Captain Richterite considered himself to be decent at, other than being a charming individual, it was collecting energy. He had it down to a science and had found a way to work entertainment into things. It made him predictable, as he was starting to find out, but at least he had something. He had set up shop on a street that usually drew in street performers, drawing some folks in for a 'magic act'. His card tricks were simple, at most, but they drew in a number of people and a little bit of energy gathered from a few different people was about the same as taking too much energy from one person. The less they knew the least likely it was to be a problem, right?

Cordoba needed to figure out how to collect energy harmlessly. It wasn't that she didn't know how - the crystal was in a pocket, and she tried ensuring she didn't power with it in a pocket, but the matter of collecting energy was new. Second too, was that Cordoba was shaken by her fight with Cavansite, and her hand returned to her missing clip area nervously as she moved, approaching a crowded street with street performers everywhere, before a wave of chaos swept her, a stronger wave reminding her of - well. The page beamed, hoping to find a friendly insteAd of perhaps one of Cavansite's direct superiours, and began following her senses curiously, standing tip toe to peer over the crowd before grinning, and moving towards Richterite, far less nervous than last time. "Hey!" She greeted, still approaching.

The greeting startled him as he glanced up mid-trick, apologizing to the disappointed youngster that had stepped up for this act. He gave them a light pat on the head and told them to keep the card before stepping back. The voice was familiar, but it wasn't from a performance and it wasn't because he associated it with 'Hey, you! Stop!'. "Cordoba," he smiled, grateful that the crowd was dispersing now that the tricks had ceased. There were a few yawns and one person who had been a bit pushy and insistent at the start of the 'show' wobbled a little, but he didn't seem to pay it any mind. "A much more pleasant surprise than I usually have on nights like tonight."

"I agree. Glad to see you, too." The page smiled, approaching cheerily, releif painting her seps as she walked over. The wobbles and yawns were not amiss, but neither was the gesture, earning a smile as she nodded her head. "What are you up to tonight?" She askedm glad for a distraction. "Keeping busy?"

"Up to?" Innocent expressions were hard for him and he wound up with a slightly sheepish look on his face instead, tucking the remainder of the deck of playing cards up into his sleeve before brushing his fingers back through his hair. "I am sure you wouldn't believe me if I said 'nothing' so I won't insult your intelligence by not admitting to the truth," he flashed her a soft smirk. "Meeting quota. Trying to stay under the radar... And avoid getting confronted by another chibi scout. One thing I like about you knight people is that you don't seem to recruit juniors."

"Aaahhhh." Cordoba nodded, then sighed. "Yeah, I... I don't know any senshi, but my word why are children involved? Though I'm glad I ran into you and not some of your compatriots." Cordoba nodded, looking more than a little sheepish. "I don't know if she was all there mentally. So... Meeting quota?" The Mercury knight peered curiously, blinking. "How do you do that?"

"If I knew the answer to that question I reassure you that's what I would be focused on putting a stop to." His eyes narrowed for a moment as he shook his head. He couldn't tell if the chibi sailors had started to awaken as a tactic to keep the Negaverse from fighting against them, but he did know that it wouldn't work. There were a number among the ranks of his side that wouldn't pause at taking out a scout no matter what age if only because a starseed was a starseed. "Hm. Maybe we could take this discussion elsewhere if we're going to talk shop?" One brow arched as he looked to his companion. "I could make the trip quick, if you'll permit me to?"

"Sure." Cordoba nodded, and paused, sighing. "I agree. I don't like hearing about small kids. I mean... Some of them might not even know better, which might do more harm than good." Cordoba nodded, and motioned. "Sounds good, if it doesn't mess up your quotas."

"I've been flying under the radar for a while now. One little blip won't get me in too much trouble." His usual light smirk turned into a grin as he snatched Cordoba's wrist, giving her little time to protest as he teleported. He thought it might make a nice trick; straight from the ground where they had been standing to the rooftop of the theater less than a block away. He hadn't taken into account how exhausting it would be to teleport two people as opposed to just himself. He let go of her as they reached the roof, wobbling on his feet. "Note to self... Don't do that again."

"That's goo-" It was likely the combination of a sudden grab, and the teleport that made Cordoba squeak in surprise, the girl blinking with wide eyes before looking first to Richterite, then the new location, then Richterite. Suddenly, she wondered if she had a defense in case Cavansite did similar, or other attackers, but until then the page shook herself out and looked to the Captain with concern. "Are you alright?" She frowned. Chaos or not, he seemed nice - and she needed his advice, wether her knew why, or not.

"Yup. It's okay. I'm good." He nodded despite swaying slightly once more. "Usually feels a little wobbly when I do that myself, but this is the first time I've taken someone with me. Glad I wasn't trying to take us far," he laughed, shaking his head slowly before taking a seat on one of the crates that had been stacked on the roof. "Didn't mean to startle you." He flashed her a grin. "Now... What were we saying down there?"

"How do you do that? Take energy, I mean." Cordoba asked, only once he sat. The page moved to sit near him herself - so far she had no cause to fear the Captain, and rather found him to be good company, the sort she could at least talk to. They may not agree on everything, but talking supplanted fighting any day.

"Mm. Complicated question, Cordoba. Do you mean how do I do it as in the mechanics of how energy draining works? Or do you mean on a moral level how can I do something like that?" His brow lofted slightly as he cast a glance in her direction. He didn't think that she meant morally, but one could never be too certain and he had gotten himself into far too many scuffles lately out of uncertainty. He would like to avoid fighting with her, if at all possible.

"Mechanics, please." Cordoba blinked. "Morally I can sort-of understand. It's work. Nothing offensive to anyone." Because... He wasn't a monster. Right? He was nice, possibly, a friend. But Caedus had given her a task, and while touch was good for the crystal, if she knew just a little more... Maybe it might help.

His brow lofted briefly before he simply shook his head, figuring that in the sake of the peace there was between them it was for the best not to discuss some other members of the Negaverse and their extracurricular activities. "It's not as complicated as it may seem. Actually, it's gotten easier as I've progressed from Lieutenant to Captain. I used to have to touch an energy orb to someone to drain them, which meant being a lot more hands on. You've seen enough of my card tricks down on the street to know how I prefer to go about it now; a little bit from everyone and no one is harmed."
